The hot weather continues, so I decided to eat something hot instead of just cold food. I went to a specialty Sundubu restaurant called Manma and ordered the regular Sundubu in a cool room on the second floor. When the bubbling hot Sundubu arrived, I cracked a raw egg into it and started eating, prepared for the heat. It was hot and spicy, but also satisfying. I enjoyed it with some rice and beer, mixing all the flavors in my mouth and stomach. I didn't take any breaks and finished it all in one go. The raw egg had cooked perfectly, with the yolk still runny. It was a great meal, and I left feeling very satisfied.

It's a delicious Sundubu restaurant located in Nishi-Umeda. The restaurant is two stories tall with a limited number of seats, and the space between seats is narrow. However, the food was very tasty and satisfying. I went during lunchtime and ordered the Sundubu set meal for the first time. The set included Sundubu, rice, Korean seaweed, and a 3-side dish assortment with a raw egg for 920 yen. The rice portion might be a bit small for men. You cannot choose the spiciness level, but it was mildly spicy, not too hot that it makes you sweat a lot.

I want to eat something spicy! Jjigae! However, I can't wander around in this intense heat. I head to a restaurant near the station where I am doing BM. The first floor has a counter with 8 seats. I manage to get a seat in front that doesn't seem to have many people around. I ordered the Sakura Pork Sundubu set meal, which comes with 3 types of side dishes, a raw egg, Korean seaweed, and rice. The hot pot is bubbling away. I quickly crack the egg into it. It has plenty of thick pork slices. The soup's spiciness is on the milder side. I debated whether to add the red pepper flakes on the table... and decided not to. I had high hopes when I heard the man cooking inside speaking fluent Korean, but it was just okay. The majority of customers were solo female diners. It's strange how on hot days, you crave curry or spicy food. Thank you for the meal.

A Korean restaurant located right near Nishi-Umeda Station underground. Visited before 12pm on a weekday and there were a few seats available. Ordered the lunch set menu, Sundubu. Other customers were adding dry noodles as toppings or ordering the Ramen Sundubu set. The Sundubu can be adjusted for spiciness, but even the standard was quite spicy. Ate the piping hot Sundubu while sweating. Next time, I'll try adding dry noodles as well.

I often come here for lunch after 2 o'clock. Today, I came with the ladies and princesses and had a lively time at the table on the second floor. Oh, this is it! This feeling!! The food was really delicious today. Thank you for the meal.

It's about a 3-minute walk from Kitashinchi Station. This Korean izakaya has a rating of 3.49 on Tabelog and you can enjoy set meals even at night. When I feel like eating something spicy, my go-to used to be mapo tofu, but I remembered how delicious sundubu is, so I came here. I ordered the "Sundubu set meal" for 1,200 yen. It was served in a bubbling hot iron pot. It came with 3 types of namul, cucumber kimchi, and Korean seaweed. The sundubu ingredients included large pieces of silken tofu, oysters, clams, beef, and shrimp, and I added the raw egg that came with it. It wasn't as spicy as it looked, in fact, it was a bit lacking in spice. Also, because the tofu was cut into large pieces, you might want to cut it smaller to fully enjoy the sundubu flavor. With the namul and Korean seaweed, the rice went down easily. I ordered a second helping and turned it into porridge. Overall, I felt like it could use a bit more richness or umami. One more thing, the first serving of rice is free but an extra large serving costs 150 yen. I wish they would make the extra rice free. Nonetheless, it's rare and appreciated to be able to have set meals at night. Thank you for the meal.

It's been a while since I visited Manma-san. It's cold, so we had Sundubu for lunch♡ Today, we all sat on the second floor, chatting and enjoying our meal together.
- Sundubu set meal for 920 yen: includes oysters, shrimp, beef, tofu, side dishes, chapchae, greens, raw egg, and Korean seaweed. They provide salt, soy sauce, and spicy sauce on the side. I like to drizzle a little soy sauce on mine. Thank you for the delicious meal today! (•́✧•̀)

I finally had the chance to visit this restaurant, which only serves lunch on weekdays. I arrived at 11:45 and the first floor was full. There were two groups on the second floor, and it soon became full as well. I ordered the seafood sundubu, but surprisingly, there was no kimchi! Oh no! Sundubu without kimchi is not Korean food. However, both the owner and the staff were Korean. The taste was okay, but there might be better sundubu places nearby. Thank you for the meal.

It suddenly got cold, so I was freezing after going to work in short sleeves. I thought of ways to warm up and decided to go eat Sundubu. On that day, I was drawn to a Khao Man Gai restaurant but ended up at Mannma. Inside, there were stairs on the left leading to a second floor with seating for about 6 people at the counter. I ordered the Sundubu set for 920 yen, which had a light broth with 1 oyster, 2 shrimp, and 3 clams. It also came with Korean seaweed, chapchae, namul, cheese jeon, and a raw egg. The rice portion was quite small from the start, so when I asked for a little more Sundubu, they said it would be an extra 50 yen for a small portion and 100 yen for a large one. They didn't explicitly say it was all-you-can-eat, but I felt a bit pressured when they asked for extra payment for rice at lunch for the first time in my life. It was a bit unexpected, but the meal was delicious.

Atmosphere...feels like a long-established place. It's a bit small but there's also a second floor. Cost performance...★★★★★ (excellent). Budget...¥1000. This time's highlight...The richness of the soup is...amazing!!! The spiciness is mild, so it's beginner-friendly curry and sundubu combination, very impressive. Menu: Curry Ramen Sundubu Set (¥980). Honestly, I'm not a big fan of sundubu usually...I don't eat Korean food often. But when I went without high expectations...it was fantastic! The combination of curry and sundubu was unexpected. And before the curry flavor, the richness of the seafood (clams, squid, octopus, etc.) and beef in the sundubu soup was solidly felt! It was incredibly delicious. With the curry flavor and mild spiciness of the chili pepper, it couldn't taste bad. The noodles seem to be simple packaged noodles, but they were deliciously completed thanks to this ultimate broth. The included Korean seaweed, when added, enhanced the oceanic aroma and was amazing when eaten with the noodles. It was extremely delicious! (Note: Due to the time lag, the menu/operating hours may differ from the current ones). Announcement: I'm not chasing after Instagrammable places, but focusing on cost performance. Located in the office district, this popular restaurant often has long lines during lunchtime. The first floor has only a counter, while the second floor has tables. The Curry Ramen Sundubu set costs 980 yen and includes dry noodles, tofu, beef, clams, shrimp, and tteokbokki. You can add extra spiciness for 50 yen. The set also comes with a raw egg, Korean seaweed, namul, japchae, jeon, and rice.

☆彡On hot days when my body is struggling, I crave a hot and spicy kick during lunchtime. I pass by a popular restaurant with a long line, but I can easily walk in and be seated right away (*゚∀゚*) Yay! I felt like having some nostalgic curry ramen, so I decided to order the following:
- Curry Ramen Sundubu Set Meal (980 yen)
First, three appetizer-like side dishes arrived, including Namul, Japchae, and Pajeon, which had flavors that suited the Japanese palate and were easy to eat. The main dish, Sundubu, arrived in a hot stone pot, with the ramen noodles still looking a bit firm. However, they quickly softened up and became just right to eat. Unlike Japanese dried noodles, which become tough once the firmness is gone, Korean noodles lose their chewiness entirely. The shorter noodles paired well with the Korean flavors. In addition to tofu, the Sundubu also contained clams and shrimp, with a spicy curry spice that made me sweat all over, despite the heat. The ample amount of white rice and delicious Korean seaweed made it almost impossible not to finish the meal. I ended up putting the remaining rice into the stone pot, adding an egg, and enjoying the soup until the last drop. This lunch is satisfying and delicious, perfect for both winter and summer seasons. It's a great way to add some excitement to your meal (^ω^*)

I arrived at the restaurant today at 2:00 PM. I ordered the Seafood Sundubu Set Meal for ¥980 (clams, shrimp, oysters, squid), Ramen for ¥120, Wiener for ¥120, and Extra Spicy for ¥120. The Extra Spicy option is not listed on the menu since they have updated it, but you can still ask the staff for it.

White rice cooked in a white pot, pure tofu hot pot, Manma Shinchi Honten! Sundubu set meal! Ramen topping! I want to eat tofu! I want to eat spicy food! I want to eat Sundubu! I want to have a spicy and delicious meal! So, after searching a lot, I found a place in Kitashinchi where you can enjoy Sundubu. There were so many menu options to choose from, but I decided to go with the Sundubu set meal with ramen. First, they served side dishes like bean sprout namul, komatsuna namul, chikuwa, and fried chapchae. The namul dishes were light and tasty, while the chapchae had a strong umami flavor from the rehydrated shiitake mushrooms. And then, the Sundubu arrived! I took a sip and felt the spiciness of the chili peppers. I thought about making it extra spicy, but even the regular level was quite spicy! How was the tofu? The tofu was soft and delicious! The ramen, mixed with the spiciness, was perfect to eat with rice and soup. It was spicy, but that's what made it so good! (See Butcher Shima for reference) Thank you for the delicious meal!

Stone-grilled Bibimbap with Sundubu set meal for 1,400 yen. The spiciness of the Sundubu was just right. It was full of umami and incredibly delicious. It was piping hot and made me break a sweat. When you're craving something spicy and want to eat Korean food, this is the perfect place to casually stop by alone.

Today, I felt like eating Sundubu, so I went to eat it immediately! I arrived around 1 pm and waited for about 10 minutes to get a seat. Last time I had Ramen Sundubu, but this time I tried the Korean Miso Tenjang Sundubu in a large portion! It was delicious! But I still think I prefer the Ramen Sundubu...no! Next time, I'll try the Tenjang Sundubu with Ramen toppings! Thank you for the meal!

Today, I was in the mood for Korean food, so I came to "Shirakama Meshi Pure Tofu Hot Pot Manba Shinchi Branch"! It seems quite crowded during lunchtime. I ordered the Seafood Sundubu Set with extra spicy. It includes oysters and feels like a good deal! Even though it's extra spicy, it's not too hot, so you can add some chili pepper to make it spicier!

Recommended Sundubu specialty restaurant. Sakura pork Sundofu set meal (extra spicy, ramen, stone pot) ¥1,630. Beef kalbi (small) ¥500. Prices are a bit high. Enjoy the piping hot Sundubu with an egg dropped in, along with rice, and finish by pouring corn tea into the burnt rice crust in the stone pot.

I came to "Shirakama Meshi Jun Tofu Nabe Manba Shinten Honten" seeking something spicy! The two-story restaurant had only female staff. I ordered the Sundubu set meal. The bubbling red pot was very appetizing! The spiciness was not enough, so I added a lot of shichimi, but it still wasn't spicy enough, so I ordered the Pukochi. They didn't have it, so I prefer even spicier dishes!
