I visited this restaurant for the first time on a Sunday night in March, as I was invited by an acquaintance in Osaka. When we arrived around 7 pm, the restaurant was fully booked except for our reserved table. The place had both counter and table seating on the first and second floors, and it was quite spacious. Despite the sign that said "Sushi," the exterior did not give off a typical sushi restaurant vibe. I was expecting some kind of trendy, unconventional sushi. However, my initial doubts were completely overturned. The dishes like kinome salad and celery ohitashi served at the beginning were delicately seasoned and delicious. The sashimi was also stylishly presented and made with high-quality ingredients. We opted for the chef's selection and every dish exceeded our expectations. We enjoyed beer, wine, and sake, and ended up getting quite drunk. We stayed at the restaurant until after 11 pm, and even at around 10 pm, the place was still packed. It's clear why it's so popular. It was a restaurant that made me want to come back again.

Stable and reliable Umiuma-san. It's a favorite sushi restaurant nearby that is flexible and accommodating. They have a wide selection of drinks and delicious sushi, so I go there at least once a month. It's always crowded because of its popularity. The seasonal items are always delicious. They also have unique and enjoyable sushi options.

First visit to the counter for a meal. My image is of a slightly upscale izakaya with a counter where two chefs prepare the food in front of you. Their efficiency and friendly conversation make the experience even more enjoyable. There are remnants of the past standing counter style here and there. The dishes are all delicious, with sashimi including houbou, red fish, pike conger, and white shrimp. I had white shrimp for the first time and it was sweet and had a sticky texture, fulfilling a long-time wish. The eel zaku was chewy and plump. The sushi set of 10 pieces was also excellent, with each piece showcasing the freshness of the ingredients. Don't underestimate the 10 pieces, as I left feeling completely satisfied and my stomach full. Thank you for the delicious meal!

I made a reservation for lunch at 11:30. There were turtles in front of the restaurant. I couldn't see any goldfish in the biotope, but there were bubbles floating around. They had decorations for Tanabata, which made it look a bit cooler. There were cedar balls hanging as well. The dragon on the staircase inside the restaurant was a bit crooked but cute. I had a hard time deciding on lunch, but I ended up choosing sushi. The 5 customers who came in later all ordered seafood bowls or seared rice bowls. Next time, I think I'll try the seafood bowl or seared rice bowl. I had 12 pieces of sushi with red miso soup. The cold tea tasted like whisky in a Yamazaki glass, strong but good.

I had sushi in Horie at lunchtime! Sushi restaurants that serve nigiri in the evening tend to be high-end and expensive, but at lunchtime, I was able to stay within budget with 8 pieces of plum sushi for 1200 yen. The salmon was so delicious and melted in my mouth, and the red miso soup was also tasty as expected. The atmosphere was stylish and trendy, fitting for Horie, known as the Aoyama of Osaka. The interior of the restaurant was clean and beautiful. It was delicious! ✿

I visited Mr. Seahorse, a sushi restaurant in Yotsubashi. Their lunch is very popular. They have sushi and seafood bowls, but I decided to try the seared seafood bowl. It was delicious, with the searing giving it a nice aroma. The portion of rice was a bit small, so men might find it a bit lacking. Thank you for the meal.

A seafood izakaya with a focus on sushi. The sushi is pretty standard, but the green onion sushi was delicious!! I haven't had it much before and was impressed haha. The photo is of the Omakase Horie with 10 varieties. I ended up eating a couple before remembering to take a picture. I tried the matcha beer drink. The seafood salad, cod and fig salad, were delicious.

I made a reservation for a counter seat on the first floor. When asked about smoking or non-smoking, I wonder if the second floor is the smoking section? The atmosphere is bright with gentle lighting. I had seared sea bream and fig salad, grilled sweetfish, and then individual pieces of sushi. The prices ranged from 200 yen to 900 yen per piece, with most falling around 350 to 380 yen. The fish was fresh with appropriately sized toppings, and the rice was small but had a perfect balance. Above all, the chefs and staff seemed friendly and it was nice to watch them work together. I regret not trying the handmade mandarin orange daifuku that was recommended when we were leaving. I'll have to try it next time...!

I arrived at the restaurant around 1:15 PM on a holiday. I was seated at a table right away without waiting. Last week, I visited the Hawaiian pizza place next door, and this week I came here. The interior of the restaurant is very clean. I ordered two Aburi bowls (1100 yen each), Hana (1500 yen), and Ume (1200 yen). The dishes arrived in about 5 minutes. The Aburi bowls were delicious in a normal way. It's a stylish restaurant unique to Kitahorie. Thank you for the meal.

When it comes to casual sushi restaurants in Horie, Kaiba is the place to go. Today, I decided to grab a quick bite and head home. The prices for individual dishes are decent. First, I started with the recommended seasonal sashimi platter, which was around 3,500 yen for one portion (5 types, 2 pieces each). For two portions, it would be around 7,000 yen. The platter included delicious items like nodoguro and white shrimp. The rock oyster was around 1,300 yen each, a bit small but creamy and delicious. My favorite cockle was also around 1,300 yen, fresh and tasty. We ordered various other dishes and finished with sushi. My stomach was full and satisfied. I highly recommend this casual sushi spot in Horie for its great atmosphere and delicious food.

Stylish sushi restaurant! Located in Horie, the interior is beautiful! The sushi has a good balance of ingredients and tastes delicious! The grilled nodoguro (blackthroat sea perch) is also delicious, and it's a great place for drinks! Sushi restaurant Umashika in Horie, Osaka. I have been there many times already! Even as a single woman in her late twenties, I feel comfortable dining at the counter and enjoying delicious sushi for lunch. The lunch set is a great deal, the taste is excellent, and the atmosphere is cozy. No wonder I keep coming back! I couldn't resist adding a Negitoro roll to my lunch set this time! (^o^)

On Sundays, it is rare to find shops open in the city center, so it was nice to see Mambo open. As always, the tempura here is beautifully fried. I ordered an extra red clam sushi, and they kindly split it into two pieces with half the rice. The shrimp tempura was a bit lacking in flavor this time. I also requested a special Ehomaki roll for Setsubun, which was well-balanced. The pickled cabbage sushi served as a final complimentary dish was a nice touch.

Sea Horse in Nishi-ku, Osaka City, is a sushi restaurant that I have been visiting occasionally since I lived nearby. It is located about a 5-minute walk from Yotsubashi Station on the Yotsubashi Subway Line. It is a hidden gem tucked away in a alley on the north side of Horie Park. You can enjoy authentic sushi at a reasonable price. The stylish and casual atmosphere inside the restaurant is also great. This time, it was our second stop, so we mainly ordered side dishes. - Sea urchin - Assorted tempura - Roast beef salad - Crab miso - Tekka maki (tuna roll) - Ume shiso maki (plum and shiso leaf roll) Everything had a consistently delicious taste, and it's always good whenever I come here! The service from the staff is also wonderful. I really love this restaurant. Thank you for the meal.

Today, I had a drink with my old friend in Horie after a long time. We went to Kaiba, a casual sushi restaurant nearby. It's not too fancy and we were able to fill our stomachs with various dishes. We always meet up there. Sometimes I accidentally order tempura too because they have that as well, haha. Today, we drank sake and felt warm and cozy. Thank you for the meal!

I visited Honetosushi Umama Honten in Kitahorie for lunch. It's a casual sushi restaurant where you can eat at a reasonable price. It tends to get fully booked for dinner, but it was easier to get in on a Sunday for lunch. I had the seafood bowl and a 12-piece nigiri set, both of which were fresh and good value for the price. I would recommend this place to anyone except those who can't stand salmon being served at a sushi restaurant.

This was my first time visiting this restaurant with my family. The first floor has two spacious tables where 4-10 people can comfortably sit. The second floor is for smoking, so I have never been there. The dishes are delicious and the sushi is good, although it is not exceptional for a sushi restaurant. The prices for the sushi are a bit high considering it is a casual dining place. The atmosphere of the restaurant is cozy and welcoming, making it suitable for any occasion.

A stylish sushi restaurant with a long history. Visited a popular restaurant after a long time. The atmosphere is sophisticated yet lively. Personally, I feel that the tempura is better than the sushi here. The eel dish could have been more carefully prepared. The sashimi presentation is beautiful.

Monday 9:15 pm. The restaurant was about 30% full. We came here for our second stop. Wow, this sushi restaurant is so stylish and open, something you wouldn't find in my local area. Even though it's a sushi restaurant, we only had the Nishikyo-yaki. I don't remember the price, but it was decent. The atmosphere was great, so I would like to come back and spend more time here next time!
