Fukuoka is located on the outskirts of Nakasu, near Haruyoshi Bridge on the Kokutai Road in Nishinakasu. This restaurant is part of a well-established chain of iron pot gyoza. It is different from other chains, as you will find out by looking at the menu inside the restaurant. This traditional taste of Fukuoka is quite fascinating. When ordering gyoza, you can start with one serving, but additional orders must be for two servings or more. We started with an order of three servings of gyoza and a snack set of three items, which we enjoyed with beer. For five hundred yen, you can taste mentaiko, vinegar motsu, and okra, which is quite nice. After about 10 minutes, the gyoza was ready, and it was served in an iron pot on a wooden trivet. The first impression was that it was beautifully cooked, with a crispy texture that was irresistible. We quickly finished it, so we ordered an additional two servings. By the time it was ready, we also ordered a highball and rice, which we enjoyed as we headed towards the end of the meal. The rice comes with pickles, and you can choose from large, medium, or small portions. If you're a drinker, a small portion should be enough. In the end, I enjoyed five servings on my own. It was a satisfying evening. It's best not to order everything at once; instead, order according to your stomach and eating pace that day. For two or three people, the counter seats are recommended as they are easy to talk to.

Today's lunch was in Hakata (^o^)v I came to Hakata for a day trip. My work starts in the afternoon, so I'll have lunch early. I already decided on the restaurant, it's called Tetsunabe, where MyRebiさん also ate recently. They have branches, but the one in Nakasu is closed on weekends, so I visited the main store in Nakasu, which is open for lunch on weekends. I arrived at the restaurant 15 minutes before it opened at 11:30, and there were no customers waiting. I waited by the pole, and slowly, customers started to arrive. By the time they opened, there were 12 people in line. I was seated at the counter near the entrance. The restaurant only has 10 counter seats, so it was good that I arrived early. I ordered 2 servings of fried dumplings and 1 serving of boiled dumplings, and when asked about drinks, I declined since I had to work. Instead, they offered me a complimentary drink. I usually don't drink before work, but oh well. I received a draft beer to sip on (^o^;) I could see the kitchen, and I watched the cooking process. They used a small iron pot, similar to a sukiyaki pot, heated it, poured oil, then placed the dumplings in a row. After frying the surface, they poured water (or hot water?) and steamed the dumplings with a wooden lid resembling a rice cooker lid. After flipping the dumplings, they were finally served after about 10 minutes. I had to be careful because the pot was hot. I prepared a small plate with dumpling sauce and chili oil. The chili oil looked like sand at the bottom, mostly chili powder, really. I generously poured it on and took a bite. Ouch, hot! I quickly spat it out. This was dangerous (。>д<)←I need to let it cool down before eating. Okay, I think it's good now. Let's try again. Bite. Ah, tasty. These dumplings are small and just right for my cute little mouth ← Just kidding (≧▽≦) When I chewed, the aroma of leeks spread. The vegetable soup was juicy. This is good. But, due to their size, they lacked a bit in satisfaction. The punch of the pork was also weak. I leisurely ate while waiting for the boiled dumplings. When the first round of customers finished their fried dumplings, they started boiling the dumplings. Wait, is it okay to be this slow? I leisurely ate the fried dumplings and sipped on my beer. When there were only 2 left, the boiled dumplings finally arrived. They said, "The soup has flavor, so please enjoy it as it is." Okay, got it. I took a bite. Yes, I prefer this one (^^) The dumplings were the same, but the smooth texture and ginger-flavored soup were nice. The chewy dumplings soaked up the soup, making them juicier. I compared the fried and boiled dumplings. Maybe because of the iron pot, the fried dumplings were still hot. Personally, I liked the boiled dumplings better. I finished the soup and checked the time, it was already a little past 12. The other customers were enjoying their lunch drinks, but I had to head to work. I was the first to enter and the first to leave, yet it took about 30 minutes. This restaurant seems to have slow turnover. As I left, there were about 10 people waiting outside. Maybe they'll have to wait over an hour (°Д°) I need to hurry a bit too ε≡≡ヘ( ´Д`)ノ 3 servings of dumplings and a beer cost a little over 2000 yen. It was a bit pricey for lunch (;∀;) The iron pot dumplings in Hakata were quite delicious, but in terms of cost performance, it wasn't that great. Thank you for the meal.

I ordered the following menu items: Grilled Gyoza (7 pieces) for 526 yen (tax included) per serving. Additional orders can be made starting from 2 servings. Water Gyoza (6 pieces) for 649 yen (tax included). They are lightly flavored gyoza in chicken broth. Last order is at 23:30. I arrived around 23:10 and was told that if I'm okay with last order, I could wait for a seat. After waiting for 15 minutes, I was able to get a seat just in time for last order. I still don't know the price (≧∇≦) There were a lot of foreign staff, and they were more beautiful than cute. When I asked one of them if they knew Gunma, they looked confused. So I said, "LOVE you so much♡" and hugged them, and then they seemed to understand. The dumplings were crispy and hot! They were bite-sized, but too hot to eat in just one bite. The whale meat was chewy and delicious! It was my first time trying it, but it was really good. Thank you for the meal (^-^)v

At "Tetsu Nabe" in Nishi Nakasu, a popular spot for bite-sized gyoza in Fukuoka, the price for a serving of pan-fried gyoza is 626 yen. The photo shows three servings. In addition, we ordered water gyoza for 649 yen, spicy cod roe with sardines for 495 yen, and half-sized miso-flavored hormone stir-fry for 627 yen. The pan-fried gyoza is hot and juicy, yet light and easy to eat as many as you want. Surprisingly, the spicy cod roe with sardines was delicious, and I plan to order it again in the future. Pan-fried gyoza with beer is the best combination.

When it comes to gyoza in Hakata, this place is convenient and enjoyable. You can watch them being grilled behind the counter, adding to the excitement. While waiting for the gyoza, it's nice to snack on sesame mackerel, pickled vegetables, and potato salad. The gyoza are light and seem like you could eat them endlessly.

In Hakata, the first thing I ate was a bite-sized gyoza. The evening drinking set includes kimchi, chilled tofu, vinegar motsu, and a beer for 1100 yen. You can order iron pot gyoza starting from 2 servings. The gyoza can be eaten in one bite, and it seems like you can keep eating them endlessly. I also tried water gyoza, which I don't usually order, and it was delicious with the soup, making it seem like I could eat as many as I want. I wanted to try horse sashimi and others at a reasonable price, but I'll have to wait until the next stop.

On August 28th (Monday), I had a business trip to Fukuoka. One of the famous Hakata specialties is the bite-sized gyoza at the popular gyoza specialty store operated by Yukihiro Hayashi, the representative of Hayashi Sangyo Co., Ltd. The store was founded in 1962 by Yukihiro Hayashi's mother, Chizu Hayashi, who created the "iron pot" gyoza at a food stall. The store is located about 30 meters northeast of Seven-Eleven DR Fukuoka Nishinakasu Daiwa Roynet Hotel store along National Route 202. The nearest station is Tenjin Minami Station, a 5-minute walk away (or Nishitetsu Fukuoka Station). The store is open on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday from 3:30 pm to 11:30 pm, Friday from 3:30 pm to 3 am, Saturday from 11:30 am to 3 am, Sunday from 11:30 am to 11:30 pm (last order 30 minutes before closing), closed on Tuesdays. There are 40 seats available, including 17 counter seats, 11 table seats, and 12 sunken kotatsu seats. Reservations can be made by phone. Arrived at 11:40 on Sunday. One group was waiting outside in the scorching sun. After about 15 minutes, a large group left and we were able to enter the restaurant. The turnover was good until around 1 pm. Ordered draft beer, whale three kinds platter, and broccoli with vinegar miso at the counter. The draft beer was a solid amount and deliciously cold. When asked about dumplings, we ordered two servings of grilled dumplings. The manager and female staff were laid-back and pleasant. As we enjoyed the whale and broccoli, a hot iron pot arrived. We dipped the grilled dumplings in the spicy miso sauce and it was delicious. One-bite dumplings from Hakata are a favorite of mine. Ordered a Shima Bijin on the rocks and enjoyed the grilled dumplings. The Shima Bijin was generously poured. Wanted a little more, so ordered a serving of boiled dumplings and a Talisker 10-year spicy highball. This combination was perfect. The soup in the boiled dumplings was delicious. The spicy highball with black pepper was a great match with the grilled dumplings. Next time, I've decided to start with a spicy highball and two servings of grilled dumplings, and make sure to add boiled dumplings. It was worth the unusual wait in the scorching sun.

Family tradition, this year in Fukuoka. Fukuoka holds a special place in my heart, it's a really great place. After considering our 3-day stay, we decided to head straight from the airport. The dumplings are too delicious! I easily finished two servings by myself. It seems that only the main store is open on Sundays, so it's best to eat quickly and leave. Also, on Sundays, the market is closed and they didn't have sesame mackerel, but they had yellowtail instead! This was also delicious... I want to eat it again!

On this day, I traveled from Osaka to Fukuoka and arrived early. I tried calling various places in Fukuoka to see if I could go somewhere that day, but I was rejected multiple times. As a last resort, I contacted o/sio-san! and was told to wait for a seat to become available. However, while waiting, I got bored and hungry, so I decided to stop by the Chikushino main store of Ten-nabe-san, a well-known gyoza restaurant. I arrived at the store around 8 pm on a weekday and managed to snag a seat at the counter. Here's what I ordered: - Lemon Sour - Assorted appetizers set (okyuuto, mentaiko, sumotsu) Okyuuto is a seaweed-based dish similar to heart-shaped mochi, served with ginger soy sauce. - Grilled gyoza x2 servings The grilled gyoza is served in a cast iron pot, with a crispy texture and a delicious aroma. It comes with a special sauce and spicy condiment. - Showa-style potato salad (small) A simple potato salad. - Miso sauce hormone stir-fry half size The hormone stir-fry dish contains various cuts of hormone meat, with a tasty miso sauce. On the first day of my gourmet trip to Fukuoka, Kyushu, I tried the famous Hakata specialty, "Tekinabe Gyoza," at #Tekinabe Nakasu Honten. It's only a 20-minute ride from the airport by subway or car, making it convenient to enjoy the bustling Nakasu Kawabata gourmet district, which is the largest in Kyushu. When we arrived at Tekinabe Nakasu Honten around 8:00 PM, there were already a few groups waiting in line outside. This location allows children to enter, unlike the affiliated Hakata Gion Tekinabe, which is for adults only. After waiting in line for about 30 minutes, we were seated and quickly ordered the Tekinabe Gyoza, Vinegar Motsu, and Sesame Kanpachi. The Vinegar Motsu, Sesame Kanpachi, and tomatoes were served promptly and were deliciously crunchy and juicy. The Tekinabe Gyoza arrived hot and crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and we eagerly devoured them! They were so delicious! The servings are small, so you can easily eat more. We also ordered additional dishes like water dumplings and the famous Tekinabe yakisoba. The food was served quickly, allowing us to enjoy a steady pace of eating and drinking. It was very crowded, but luckily I managed to get in! The hot iron pot dumplings were bite-sized, but the filling and seasoning were delicious. You can enjoy hot dumplings until the end. I also got to try the sesame mackerel that I wanted to eat. It was delicious! I also tried the boiled dumplings and simmered chicken wings, and I am satisfied. Thank you for the meal!

I wanted to eat the bite-sized gyoza in Hakata, so I visited a second restaurant. It was after 9 pm on a Sunday night, but the restaurant was quite crowded. The bite-sized gyoza can be ordered starting from 2 servings (14 pieces). The gyoza served on a hot iron plate was delicious, and I couldn't resist getting seconds even though I was already full.

When I came to Hakata last time, I couldn't make a reservation, so this time I made a reservation early and was able to get in. I entered at 5:00 PM when they opened and was shown to a tatami room on the second floor. I ordered 6 servings of gyoza, leek and egg dish, potato salad, and draft beer. As expected, the gyoza in Hakata is of high quality everywhere. It was very delicious.
