I hadn't visited since I got corona, but I finally went back. In March and April, they had an Italian buffet. It seemed like they had stopped the buffet for a while due to corona, but it was back and I love Italian food so I went. I entered as soon as they opened on Saturday. It was 4,800 yen for 90 minutes. There were a lot of families, and the atmosphere was lively. The food was all tasteful, but nothing really stood out. I think 3,500 yen would be more reasonable. Even though it was 4,800 yen, the main dishes were only chicken breast, chicken thigh, pork, pork cutlet, and sausages. I wanted some beef. The herb-roasted chicken had a strong rosemary flavor that I couldn't finish, sorry... The soup was... corn soup? I love corn soup, but it felt like a cheap quality. The appetizers were all hotel-quality and delicious. The pizza was Margherita. I was hoping for Quattro Stagioni, so I was disappointed. It used to be one whole pizza, but now it was cut in half. There was a sign saying to let them know if you wanted a whole pizza. I thought the previous single pizza was small, so I thought a half pizza would be a whole one, but it was actually cut in half, and I laughed. The ingredients were poor. It was a fake Margherita made with pizza cheese and basil sauce instead of fresh basil and mozzarella. The desserts seemed like they were for business use? The quality was different from cheap buffets, but the square-cut ones made me suspicious. The glass desserts were all hotel-made. The Tiramisu was hotel-made too, with plenty of coffee syrup, which I liked. I wanted to take more, but for some reason, the staff were scooping one spoonful at a time onto small plates, so it was too much trouble to go back and forth, so I only took one plate. The gelato was the specialty here. It's always crowded during dessert time, so I ordered early, but it wasn't set at all and was runny. Why wasn't it ready when they just opened? And the staff who served it were so sloppy it was almost like they were trainees. I ordered a two-flavor mix, but the amounts were completely different and the way they scooped it was so messy I couldn't help but laugh. When I ordered two flavors separately from another staff, the scooping was neat, but this time they only gave one cup per flavor... The staff weren't consistent in how they took orders. They were quick to clear the plates, but I saw a few young male staff members being scolded by their boss, which made me feel uncomfortable. Employee training should be done when there are no customers around. They announced we had 20 minutes left before leaving, and then 5 minutes later they brought out the "How about the main course for table service" even though there were only 15 minutes left, during dessert time? It just felt off, but the beautiful location was very soothing.
