I heard from the master at the barber shop I always go to that this place is delicious, so I made a reservation right away. I sat at the counter seat in the middle and chose the omakase 8-piece course. I also ordered a bottle of beer for 691 yen. The omakase 8-piece course includes beef, lotus root, barracuda, chicken tenderloin, cheese, shiitake mushroom, shrimp, chicken tenderloin with ginger, and snap peas. I also added pork skewers with mochi cheese and bacon for 246 yen. I ordered seared potato salad for 546 yen and a Jim Beam highball for 409 yen. The total came to 4,710 yen. The deep-fried skewers had just the right amount of batter, crispy and hot, and delicious. The chicken tenderloin with cheese had a rich and melty flavor. The shrimp was thick and had a satisfying texture. The shiitake mushroom was also thick and delicious. The omakase 8-piece course is a very satisfying option.

The shrimp looks delicious! This is not your ordinary shrimp, it's like Takoyaki-style kushikatsu ❤️ You've never had anything like this before! The seasonal lotus root is also irresistible! The downside of kushikatsu is that it doesn't look appealing and you can't tell what's inside, but with this one, how about it? The fine breading from Osaka is sourced from there, and it's dipped in a light homemade sauce! Enjoy Osaka-style kushikatsu with wine ⤴️ It's so delicious! If you're having kushikatsu, Chisuzu is the place to go because you can eat as many as you want with their light homemade sauce and thin breading. The 8-piece course is only 1650 yen, and you can also order additional items like natto kushikatsu for variety! Experience the new possibilities of kushikatsu at Chisuzu! It was delicious, I'll definitely come again!串カツ 千寿(せんす)Kushikatsu ChisuzuFukuoka City, Chuo-ku, Watanabe-dori 2-9-11092-711-1194Closed on Tuesdays18:00-23:00 (Weekdays)17:00-23:00 (Weekends)※Nearby coin parkingIf you want to enjoy authentic kushikatsu in Fukuoka, this is the place to go! Tonight, I went to a kushikatsu restaurant for the first time in a while. I called ahead to make a reservation and was told that I could get a seat at the counter if I arrived before 5 pm. I rushed over and was able to enjoy a complimentary draft beer as a service for arriving before 5 pm. Such service made me happy! The kushikatsu was delicious, especially the corn which was sweet and tasty due to the season. I ordered a set of 5 skewers and also added onion, broccoli octopus, chicken wings, and more. It was a satisfying meal, even though it was a quick visit. Thank you for the meal!

This was my visit since last year. Tonight's dinner was kushikatsu. The counter seating here is calm and nice. The cost performance is good, and the taste is great. The staff are also very friendly. There were customers coming in one after another even on this day. My partner had the 8-piece set, and I, considering my stomach, had the 5-piece set haha. The limited-time snap pea and cheese kushikatsu were delicious. Also, the asparagus we ordered as an additional dish was good too. Despite the rain, it was worth walking all the way here! Thank you for the meal.

I got takeout from there (*^^*) Apparently, they are originally from Yaesho, Osaka Shinsekai (8 years of training). I ordered various items for takeout, but the positions written on the lids don't match the positions of the kushikatsu (lol). The breadcrumbs don't seem very fine. They said they import the breadcrumbs and sauce from Osaka, but the kushikatsu is fried too much. I'm not sure if the takeout items are heated enough, but overall, it's delicious!

For our second stop on our Fukuoka drinking tour, we visited Kushikatsu Sensu. As soon as we entered, we saw a long counter with table seating in the back. We ordered and were served cabbage as an appetizer, along with red wine and a 5-piece chef's choice course including pork, beef, young corn, shrimp, and chicken skewers. Due to COVID, they provided the dipping sauce in small containers for each skewer. Each skewer was brought out fresh and served to us one by one. We enjoyed pairing them with red wine. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

This time, I visited Kushikatsu Sensu located at 2-9-11 Watanabe-dori, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City. When I saw the sign outside advertising a 5-piece chef's choice set for 1,000 yen, I was intrigued by the great deal. I decided to check it out. The restaurant had a counter and tables at the back. Due to the impact of the coronavirus, they provided hand sanitization. The 5-piece set included shrimp, bamboo shoots, beef cutlet, chicken tenderloin with ginger, and pork-wrapped snap peas, all freshly fried. The quality was great, and I look forward to visiting again at a more leisurely pace. Thank you for the delicious meal.

Second visit. This is a kushikatsu restaurant where double dipping in the sauce is not allowed. As soon as you enter, there is a counter and tables in the back. We started with the recommended 8 skewers. It's the season for delicious corn, and the corn skewer was sweet and tasty! The snap pea and pork cheese roll was also great. It was a hot summer day today, so the slimy tofu salad I ordered for my health was a great choice. My companion loves kushikatsu, so we go to various places, but this restaurant's breading may be slightly heavier compared to others. I'm full!

"Alicia's Food Log: This time, I was taken by my usual friend to this place for the first time. We arrived at 6 o'clock and were able to get in right away, but they asked us to free up the table by 8 o'clock. It's a popular place. The restaurant was full as soon as we entered. While enjoying the doteyaki, we had a strategy meeting on what to order. We could have left it to the chef's choice, but we wanted to eat our favorite things! We ordered beef skewers, pork cutlet, firefly squid, asparagus, cheese, quail eggs, and cheese. All of them were delicious and elegant skewers. The batter was not too thick, crispy, and didn't leave a heavy feeling. They kept bringing more as soon as they were fried, so it might be a bit challenging for those with sensitive tongues (laughs). There were many drink options to choose from, making it enjoyable to decide."

I looked up kushikatsu on the internet and visited the restaurant. When I contacted them on the day, they told me they were fully booked until 8:00 pm. They said they would contact me if there was an opening, so I waited in front of the restaurant. I arrived around 7:30 pm and luckily there was an opening, so I was able to get in. They didn't contact me, but it seemed like they had forgotten. All the kushikatsu was delicious, but they recommended trying them with sauce or salt. They also mentioned that even if it's not their recommendation, it's still delicious. The half-cooked egg kushikatsu was a first for me! I think this was the best one. I would like to go there again.笑

Since it is located in Yakuin, you can already feel the mature atmosphere away from Tenjin. The kushikatsu served here is really delicious! The seating area is small, so reservations are recommended.

This day, I had a long-awaited drinking party with former colleagues who joined the company at the same time over a decade ago and left the company. The senior set up the meeting at this restaurant. It started at 7:30 PM with a course including a nomihoudai (all-you-can-drink) for 4,000 yen. There were 4 of us at the table, and we all arrived early, so we started with a cheers with champagne and beer. We had chilled tofu with tomatoes and okra, followed by bacon Caesar salad, and a specialty dish called "dote-yaki" which is a simmered hormone dish, perfect for drinking. There were a total of 8 skewers for the deep-fried skewers, including beef, pork, shrimp, and various others, but the details are a bit hazy. The sauce, which should not be dipped twice, was fruity with a slight acidity, reminiscent of the taste of the young head chef from Yaesho in Osaka. The cutlets were crispy and not heavy, so there was no feeling of indigestion. It was a good place to have a quick drink on the way home from work.

I wandered around for dinner and drinks, and ended up at "Kushikatsu Sensu" for some skewers. I sat at the counter as I was dining alone. I ordered a lemon sour for 390 yen (excluding tax), an assorted skewer set of 5 for 1000 yen, and two pieces of fried chicken wings with salt for 150 yen each. For the assorted skewers, I was asked if there was anything I didn't like. I mentioned shiso, natto, chocolate, and cilantro. The skewers I got were: beef (130 yen), corn (200 yen), okra with pork and cheese (230 yen), shrimp (330 yen), and pork fillet (210 yen). The total came to 1200 yen, which was a 200 yen discount from the regular prices. The corn was sweet and delicious, and the shrimp was also very good. I also ordered additional skewers: octopus (takoyaki style) for 230 yen and pickled ginger for 130 yen. The octopus skewer was a big hit, it was so tasty! I also had more drinks: draft beer for 490 yen and highball for 390 yen. Everything was delicious. Thank you for the meal.
