On this day, I casually visited "Ajodashi Gyoza Yudetan Sanji" in Imazumi, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City.
◇Exterior and Interior
This izakaya is located in Imazumi, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City. It has an interesting name, and it seems that gyoza and boiled tongue are the main dishes. The exterior and interior have a youthful atmosphere typical of Fukuoka. The interior is non-smoking, but there are ashtrays outside.
◇Seating
The seating consists of counter seats, table seats, etc., and the restaurant is of medium size.
◇Menu
Only a regular menu is available. Gyoza in various styles such as grilled, boiled, and water gyoza are offered, as well as boiled tongue. There are also appetizers using ajodashi, which may be related to the restaurant's name. However, ordering is done by scanning the QR code next to the menu and registering as a friend on LINE, which made me consider leaving in about a minute. The ordered items were as follows:
- Grilled Gyoza (420 yen) → Tax included price. Without garlic, it is 390 yen.
The atmosphere did not improve much due to the LINE registration, but as I had other plans, I stayed for about 30 minutes. We also ordered potato salad, which I personally thought was a perfect choice. Then came the gyoza. The thick skin provided a chewy texture, making it seem more suitable for boiling than grilling. At this point, I thought, "I made a mistake," but some people may prefer the grilled style. The filling inside the gyoza had a mild taste without much flavor, so if you want to taste the broth more, something like xiaolongbao might be more interesting.
◆Strong Points
They seem to aim for completely contactless service. Also, they have a happy hour.
◆Service
There was hardly any interaction. The staff didn't take orders, and the staff who brought the dishes and drinks seemed like they might be replaced by robots in the future.
◆Summary
There was a hint of promoting gin, but it was a bit weak or something... I honestly thought, "Wait, is this how it's supposed to taste?" I like gin enough to buy it in cans, but oh well, this review may not be very helpful as it was a short visit. And finally, my companion started drinking alcohol... Whether that's a good thing or a bad thing... Well, thank you for the meal.
