Basically, the quality keeps decreasing, so we should think about how to prevent it from decreasing as much as possible. It's unrealistic to expect the quality to improve along the way. It's more practical to consider how to avoid getting worse. Today, I visited the popular Western food restaurant "Sankyu". Last time, there was a long line so I couldn't go in. This time, I aimed for after 1 pm thinking it would be okay, but the restaurant was still full and I had to wait for about 5 minutes outside. Even after I got in, more customers kept coming, and by around 1:30 pm they stopped taking orders because they were running out of menu items. It was a close call. I ordered the "Menchi Katsu + Udon" combo, which I had decided on. The Menchi Katsu was juicy and flavorful, and the Udon was satisfying. It was delicious. I learned that even aiming for after 1 pm can be challenging, so you have to be prepared to wait in line. I will continue to strive on the path ahead, and have no regrets.

This is a rare town Western-style food restaurant that is only open on weekdays and only for lunch. It is a well-known place, so when I visited before 11 am, I was able to sit right away, but shortly after that, people started coming in one after another and it quickly became full. It's very popular. Every Thursday is "Bento Day," where the food is served in a takeout container. Of course, you can also eat inside the restaurant. I had the A lunch and yellow soba. It felt like a full course Western-style meal and I was very satisfied. The yellow soba is a must-try here, it might feel strange if you don't order it. For those going by car, using the MaxValu Shiokusa store is the best option.

When you walk from JR Loop Line Ashiharabashi Station towards Shiosawa Elementary School, you will see a small diner along Naniwa Street with a nostalgic Showa era atmosphere. It is only open for lunch and is a well-known long-established restaurant that quickly fills up with customers. The interior is small, with a counter seating for 4 and two tables for 4 people each. About half of the customers dine alone, so the counter is always full. The menu includes A lunch for 800 yen, B lunch for 700 yen, as well as options like hamburger, minced cutlet, ham and egg vegetable salad, and soup soba. Regular customers always order A or B lunch along with the incredibly cheap double serving of Soki soba (soup soba) for an additional 200 yen. Even if you order both, it will only cost you 1000 yen. I ordered lunch A and Soki soba. Lunch A includes hamburger, tonkatsu, shrimp fry, fried egg, shredded cabbage, and sliced lemon served with rice. B is slightly cheaper and comes with tonkatsu, shrimp fry, and rice. The hamburger and tonkatsu are topped with demi-glace sauce, while the shrimp fry is drizzled with mayonnaise. You can enjoy breaking the egg over the rice and savoring the yolk together. The soup soba is a traditional Chinese-style noodle soup and at 200 yen, it's a steal, so it's a must-order unless you have a small appetite.

Arrival was after 10 o'clock. I thought there wouldn't be many customers in the morning, but it was quite busy. Most customers in this shop order set meals or add noodles. I, on the other hand, already had breakfast at two other places and wanted to go to one more. "Is it okay if I just have the yellow soba?" I asked the kind waitress. She smiled and said, "Of course." The yellow soba (tax included 200 yen) was not too firm and had a nice texture. The hot broth with kelp was delicious, and it was topped with a rare piece of seaweed that started to melt like wakame. The kind waitress even asked if I needed more water, all for a customer spending just 200 yen. Thank you (tears). It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I visited the restaurant shortly before closing time. The inside was bustling with customers. I ordered Set A, which came with tonkatsu, mini hamburger, shrimp fry, fried egg, and spaghetti, all for such a cheap price! The tonkatsu was seasoned generously with black pepper and tasted delicious. All the other customers were ordering the ¥200 udon, so I decided to add that to my order. It came in just 2 minutes! The amount for ¥200 was more than enough! I'm stuffed now! Thank you for the meal!

I saw a friend post about it on SNS and suddenly felt like going. When I invited my mom, she said, "I want the hamburger!" It seems like she really liked it from last time (laughs). I ordered the A lunch set and soba. My friend also had the same combination (laughs). This combination is the best! I love it so much! My mom said she wants to add another hamburger.

I visited San Kyu Shokudo, a Western-style restaurant that I have been going to for 30 years. Although I currently live in Hyogo Prefecture, I used to live in the same Naniwa Ward as the restaurant, so I used to go there often. Knowing that it gets crowded during lunchtime, I arrived at around 10 am and there were already 5 customers. The restaurant has changed ownership, but the taste has been faithfully preserved. The photo shows the A lunch set that I ordered and the soup soba. The taste of Western food for me is based on this restaurant. The demi-glace sauce is excellent. The soup soba may not be satisfying when eaten alone, but it matches perfectly when eaten with the lunch set. It used to be a hidden menu item and wasn't listed on the menu as soup soba. Taste is subjective, but for me, this is the best, so I give it 5 stars. The previous owner's wife is also still healthy and working at the restaurant.

I went to Mikyu Shokudo. It was the day when Japan won the World Baseball Classic, a memorable day. I ordered the tonkatsu set meal (I'm sorry, I forgot the menu and price because too much time has passed). While waiting, I watched Ohtani's pitching on Amazon Prime. The tonkatsu was delicious, crispy and traditional. The combination of tonkatsu and rice was, needless to say, amazing. It's close to my workplace so I will definitely go again.

Osaka, Ashiharabashi [#Mikyu Shokudo] ☑️ A Lunch ☑️ Soup Soba (Yellow Soba)
------------------------------
I had been passing by this restaurant a few times and was curious about it. It's a cozy little diner loved by locals, with a feel of a popular Western-style eatery. The menu is very simple, which I liked. Here, the A Lunch is a solid choice, featuring tonkatsu, hamburger, shrimp fry, and fried egg, like a classic Western meal. The interesting part is that noodles are also served together with the main dish, so I asked the staff what it was, and they said "soba."
Although udon is on the menu, soba is not, but following the lead of those around me, I added soba as well. The dishes that arrived shortly after were like a grown-up children's lunch.
The shrimp fry was unique, with the shrimp peeled and opened in a fan shape, similar to a horse mackerel fry. The flavors were not groundbreaking, but it was a taste of the good old days of Japanese Western cuisine.
And the intriguing "soba" turned out to be a unique dish - Chinese noodles in a udon broth, a fusion of Western and Japanese cuisine, not your typical soup or noodle dish. Everyone orders this one cup because it's only 200 yen, a steal.
By the way, the most luxurious A Lunch is 850 yen, so be careful as you might end up with a full stomach.

I should have gone earlier, I regret it. The hamburgers were sold out so I had the minced cutlet, which was delicious. The only downside was that the rice was served on a plain white plate. I want to try all the menu items in the future.

At the Yoshiharabashi, there is a restaurant called "Yoshoku Mikyuu Shokudo" where you can get Tonkatsu (with rice) for 500 yen and a secret menu item of soba for 200 yen. The Tonkatsu comes with delicious demi-glace sauce and is served with a generous portion of spaghetti Napolitan. They also offer Beef Cutlet (with rice) for 550 yen! The soba is known as yellow soba and is actually Chinese noodles served in a soup similar to udon. It tends to be quite filling, so it's recommended to start with the soba and save the Tonkatsu rice for later. Overall, the meal was satisfying and made me quite full!

I visited the traditional Western-style restaurant, Sankyu Shokudo, near Ashiharabashi. I had the A lunch set which included tonkatsu, ebi fry, hamburger, fried egg, salad, spaghetti, and rice for 850 yen. I also ordered the yellow soba for 200 yen, which seemed to be a hidden menu item that everyone was ordering. The taste reminded me of the soba we used to have at my high school cafeteria. The food was served in aluminum dishes which added to the charm of the place. The waitresses were elderly ladies who made the atmosphere very cozy. It was a wonderful dining experience.

Yellow soba for 200 yen, it wasn't on the menu but many people were ordering it. When I asked if I could have extra rice for the A lunch set, the old lady misheard me and gave me a big portion of rice and soba. Oh well, it worked out perfectly and I got to eat the yellow soba I wanted. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere.

I heard rumors about this super cheap set meal restaurant, and it turned out to be true! The place was packed until closing time, and the elderly lady working there was so dedicated, it brought a tear to my eye. The counter seats had mirrors so you could see yourself eating and check your chewing habits. I ordered the hamburger set for only ¥500, which came with a fried egg, salad, and rice. It's cheaper than cooking at home or buying a bento box. Check out my Instagram @kanae.0402.

Just a little east from JR Ayasebashi Station! It has a retro vibe as you can see! This popular long-established place has lines during lunchtime! I ordered the "A Set" (¥850)!!! It comes with tonkatsu, shrimp fry, hamburger, fried egg, and rice... And guess what!!! It also comes with udon!!! Amazing value!!! The original sauce on the tonkatsu seems to have garlic in it, making it even more appetizing, a new taste for me!!! Delicious!!! The shrimp fry is opened up, super plump and juicy!!! Surprisingly delicious!!! The hamburger feels more packed and dense than soft!!! Delicious!!! Along with the fried egg, the sides are cabbage and spaghetti!!! Oh!!! And udon too!!! Haha Seriously, no complaints!!! My belly is full!!! Thank you for the meal!!! The sauce was really tasty!!!

I took a rare day off on a weekday ⭐︎ I want to go to a restaurant that I can only visit on weekdays ⭐︎ The last time I went was during the G20 Summit three years ago when the company was forced to close. I was impressed by the A lunch at that time. When I reread the post, I noticed that the price has increased by ¥100 since then. Well, that can't be helped, but I felt like the tonkatsu was fried too much this time. The meat was quite tough. I'm not sure if it's just my imagination, but I didn't feel as impressed as last time. It's just my subjective opinion, so maybe it was just that I felt that way that day due to my physical condition (TT). It seems to always be crowded, but it was empty around 30 minutes after opening. Thank you for the meal ^ ^

Tonkatsu (with rice) in January of the 4th year of Reiwa for 450 yen. It is delicious with good cost performance. It is great to be able to enjoy tonkatsu at this level for under 500 yen. The restaurant is open for lunch on weekdays from 10:00 to 14:00.

Tonkatsu with mini hamburger, shrimp fry, and sunny-side-up egg‼️ All of this included in the A lunch set for only 800 yen‼️ The secret demi-glace sauce unique to Western-style restaurants is inviting with the rice‼️ Interestingly, this place is also famous for its Soki soba, as almost all customers seem to order it along with their meal‼️ I'll have to try it next time I visit‼️ Overall, this restaurant offers amazing value for the price‼️ It's always packed at lunchtime, a super popular Western-style restaurant‼️ The kind-hearted grandmother really adds to the experience and makes you feel at ease‼️ Thank you for the meal. It was delicious!

The limited opening hours made it difficult for me to visit, but I finally went for the first time around 1 pm on a weekday. The interior of the restaurant had a nostalgic Showa era vibe, with counter seats facing the wall and three tables for four. The presence of the elderly lady really added to the atmosphere. The menu seemed to change seasonally, and during my visit, the menu included dishes like pork chop, A lunch set, B lunch set, shrimp fry, hamburger, beef cutlet, minced cutlet, ham and eggs, omelette, ham salad, vegetable salad, udon, and fried egg. I ordered the A lunch set, which came with tonkatsu, mini shrimp fry, and hamburger served with a Japanese-style demi-glace sauce. The regular customers who kept coming in were ordering "Soki soba," which I would like to try next time. Overall, it was a delightful experience.

On this day, I visited Ashihara Bridge. While I was there, I decided to stop by the retro famous restaurant, Sankyu Shokudo. The restaurant was smaller than I had imagined, but it was already crowded with many customers. I sat at the counter and checked the menu. It had a nostalgic feel to it. And the prices were surprisingly cheap! I ordered the tonkatsu (pork cutlet) and soba. It was a simple meal. The tonkatsu came with rice and was on the smaller side. The soba was just right. The flavors were simple and comforting. It felt like a taste of old-fashioned kindness. This is a rare gem of a place where you can enjoy local Western-style food at student-friendly prices.
