I entered the restaurant around 1:30 pm on a regular day. There were both a counter and tables, and the atmosphere was relaxed. I ordered the lunch set C for 1250 yen. It came with half a plate of udon and half a plate of fried rice, both of which were nothing special. I thought I could have gotten the same quality at a regular Chinese restaurant like Osho.

For over 60 years, Nagasaki Chanpon has been introduced to Osaka. The main store in Namba has a long history. The Douchika store in Dojima is a Chinese restaurant with a variety of menu options. This time, I tried the half & half with Nagasaki plate udon and fried rice for 1,250 yen.

☆彡 I have been using this champon specialty shop repeatedly since my student days. It is not exactly a chain store, but more like a local Chinese restaurant where you can enjoy their original menu in addition to champon. Located in the farthest corner if you approach from Nishi-Umeda side, Dochika is always bustling with people during day and night, making it a popular spot. On this day, I ordered the classic champon and fried rice set. The fried rice is made fresh from scratch even for half servings. The Champon Teishoku (1,450 yen) has remained unchanged for decades. While the texture of the noodles might have evolved slightly over the years to cater to changing preferences, the flavor remains unchanged and is still served at its best. There is also a special champon on the menu, but the natural taste of the regular champon soup surpasses it in terms of perfection. With plenty of seafood and vegetables in a gentle soup, it is truly satisfying. The set menu can be ordered at any time of the day, making it a great choice for Chinese food lovers. There are irresistible combinations for those who love Chinese cuisine. (^ω^*) I am on Instagram @ginjirou.star

When it comes to Champon in Osaka, you could say that Chuoken is a prominent choice with several branches in the central area. The main store is in Namba, and this time I visited the Dotchika branch. It definitely has a reliable taste. It's a good option when you want to get your vegetables in. A unique feature is that it comes with a raw egg on top.

I had champon at Dochika! It was a simple champon, but still good! As a poor salaryman like me, it's tough to spend over 1000 yen for lunch... but it was delicious! Thank you for the meal!

I used it after a meeting until 12:30. I ordered the Sanchan set meal, which includes plate udon and half-size fried rice. The Sancha set meal sounds more fitting, but maybe it's a matter of preference. By the way, the set meal with champon and fried rice is called Chanchan set meal. The noodles are thin. The filling includes pork, kamaboko, cabbage, bean sprouts, green onions, wood ear mushrooms, shrimp, squid, clams, etc. I pour plenty of sauce over it. Since the noodles are thin, they are not crunchy but have a crispy texture. The noodles are thin, so you can eat them crispy before they absorb the filling. The fried rice includes egg, kamaboko, carrots, green onions, and shrimp. It had been a while since I last visited, and it seems that the cook has changed, as the texture was dry and the taste was very light. Although Nagasaki champon and plate udon are the two main dishes, I generally think of this place as specializing in Nagasaki champon. I prefer plate udon, and I feel like there are more customers ordering plate udon, but I would like to confirm someday whether champon is more popular in the original Nagasaki.

Kyobashi was visited 4 and a half years ago, and it had been 6 and a half years since the last visit. The Chinese rice bowl at Cooking Kingdom was delicious with the king-sized green peppers, and the special smile-inducing pork belly. The dumplings were also delicious with a decent smile factor. Excluding recent visits, I have only had the Chinese rice bowl a few times in the past. The name "Nonnoka-tei" written on the dumpling plate seemed to be a part of Chuo-ken's store name, but now it seems that all stores have either closed or just become Chuo-ken. Chinese Rice Bowl Subuta (large) and Special Pan-Fried Dumplings (6 pieces).

Around 3:35 PM on September 5, 2022 (Monday), I felt a bit hungry and found a half-open restaurant. I ordered a half serving of yakimeshi and plate udon. It was more than a half serving, but the food was delicious and exactly what I wanted. The restaurant is a hidden gem with generous portions and tasty dishes. I had a great meal. Thank you!

On May 31, 2022 at 12:25, I had a plate of udon set meal for ¥1100 at a Linga Hat restaurant in Osaka. Normally, I would go for champon, but with this humidity, it's unbearable. That's why I chose the plate of udon this time. It had plenty of shrimp in it. The noodles were thinner and shorter compared to Akahige's. In a way, they were easy to eat. The taste was average and suited to most people's preferences. They have a variety of set meals like ramen and Tenshin-don, making it a budget-friendly chain restaurant in Osaka.

I visited the restaurant after work. It was before 4 pm, but there were quite a few customers. I chose the yakisoba set with fried rice this time. I personally really like the noodles in Chuo-ken's yakisoba. I have to eat it occasionally to avoid withdrawal symptoms (laughs). I would like to eat it regularly again. Thank you for the meal.

I have always been interested in the plate udon set meal (¥1,100) at Chuo-ken. Whenever I order this kind of dish, I always make sure that it doesn't contain my least favorite ingredient, green peppers, before ordering. (*This time, I confirmed that they were not included before ordering, haha). I visited the restaurant in the early afternoon, and it was almost full. I enjoyed the meal.

At the end of the year, with no shops open anywhere, I finally found this place, "Chuoken Dochika-ten". I ordered champon and fried rice! I was underestimating it because it's a chain store, but it's incredibly delicious! The champon has a taste that makes you want to eat it right away!

Sometimes I crave Chuo-ken's plate udon and champon. The champon and fried rice set for 1350 yen? It's a bit pricey and high in calories for lunch. The champon has a delicious pork bone broth with crunchy vegetables and seafood broth, complemented by thick straight noodles. It's a non-stop slurping experience. Towards the end, crack a raw egg for the first boost, then lightly add vinegar for the second boost to enjoy a change in flavor. Finished it all. The fried rice is the kind you find at Chinese restaurants and it's delicious. I love fried rice, and this one has a nice touch of pickled ginger. Delicious. Another satisfying meal, now I feel like taking a nap in the afternoon. Thank you for the meal.

This is a Nagasaki champon restaurant located in the B1 floor of Doutonbori. This restaurant has several locations in Osaka, so many people may have seen it before. I don't usually eat ramen, but suddenly I felt like eating champon, so I decided to go. When I looked at the menu, I saw my favorite Tenshinhan (sweet and sour pork with rice) was also available in a mini size, so I chose that. For some reason, champon comes with a raw egg, but when I mixed it in, it added a nice sweetness to the dish. Normally, champon has a lot of vegetables in it, but here they put less, making it easier to eat.

At "Chuoken Dochika Store in Osaka", the Ma Po Ramen costs 890 yen. I chose the Ma Po Ramen instead of the default Chanpon at the Marubiru store because it was already eaten. The soup is not the trendy spicy style, but a traditional mildly spicy one with a strong flavor of doubanjiang. The tofu is firm and small, providing a good texture and a decent portion. The noodles are medium-thin curly noodles with a slightly chewy texture. It made me crave the Ma Po noodles from Rousokuya. They do not accept cashless payments.

Visit date: Tuesday, December 22, 2020, around 7:00 pm. This is my first visit to Chuo Ken, one of the many restaurants in Osaka. It is located at the end of Doutchika. The interior of the restaurant is quite spacious. I sat at a table, and although I wanted to try the Tianjin fried rice, which is different from Osho, unfortunately it was not available, so I settled for Tianjin rice for ¥880. The dish arrived quickly, in about 5 minutes! Tianjin rice is something I occasionally crave for! It had a decent portion size, with shrimp on top. The rice was firm and had a good texture. The seasoning was light and simple, and tasted delicious. It also came with egg soup, which was a nice touch. Although the cost-performance ratio may be a bit high, I was able to satisfy my hunger quickly! I felt quite satisfied! Next time, I think I'll go for the Nagasaki Champon after all! Thank you for the meal!

Located at the southern end of the underground shopping area in Dojima, this shop has a large table that is convenient for solo diners. The table is designed with a large partition in the center to prevent eye contact with strangers sitting across from you, which is effective for current COVID measures. I ordered the plate udon and fried rice set, which was very filling to the point of bursting. For women, it may be better to order individual dishes to avoid waste. The fried rice was much more delicious than the shop's specialty plate udon.

I have been a loyal customer of Chuo-ken for over 30 years! It's a taste of my youth! I always only eat the plate udon here. The seafood plate udon is the best, with plenty of seafood and a rich fish broth. I love eating it with lots of sauce and mustard. Today, I tried something new. I ordered the curry plate udon for the first time. It costs ¥980. The curry and the Worcestershire sauce provided go perfectly together! It's extremely delicious!

This is a popular Chinese chain restaurant in Osaka, but it was my first visit. Unlike places like Osho or Nenrinya which are often found near residential areas or along national highways, this one is located more in the city center. I decided to try their famous plate udon. It cost 930 yen for a single serving, and since I didn't know the price beforehand, I thought it was a bit expensive. The plate udon was pretty standard, with average toppings. Personally, I felt that the flavor was a bit too strong and didn't quite suit my taste. They have a wide variety of menu options, but considering the prices, I don't think I'll be visiting again.

While walking around looking for something light to eat with a drink, I came across a sign for Champon. The red spicy Champon caught my eye, and I decided to try it with a beer. It was a perfect match. Even though it was a cold day, eating this dish made me break a sweat and feel satisfied. It was full of vegetables.
