A friend from afar visited, so we toasted with large lemon sours. Menu ordered: - Fried cartilage: Large pieces, unique to Fukuoka. - Motsu toji: Tasty with butter flavor, a must-try offal dish. - Motsu nabe (soy sauce): Refreshing and flavorful, perfect for finishing with champon noodles. - Giga lemon sour: Very sour, but worth it for the size and cost. Overall, a great place for sightseeing near Shokichi Park. Located in front of a famous ramen shop.

For some reason, I had bookmarked this place. It seemed close to my accommodation, and I was curious about the original, so I made a reservation the day before. The reservation phone call was quickly answered after a few rings, so I thought it might be a small independent restaurant? But it turned out to be bigger than I expected. Even though I was alone, I was led to a private room at the back. Even though I was alone, chopsticks and small plates were set in front of the pot hose, which seemed the most difficult to eat from. I ordered a draft beer, vinegar motsunabe, and motsunabe. Motsunabe can be ordered for one person. I chose soy sauce flavor. Some reviews said that there were not many vegetables included, but there were actually plenty. There were various types of motsu included. The vinegar motsunabe came quite late. There was a substantial amount. When my beer ran out, I ordered sweet potato shochu, but it never came. In the meantime, the motsunabe got overcooked. When I mentioned it to a different waitress, she responded with "Me?" as if I was referring to her, but it wasn't her who hadn't brought it. I wanted to try other dishes, but being alone, I couldn't bring myself to order more. I was also unsure about dessert, but decided to try the champon noodles since I was already there. When I asked if I could have a half portion, I was told they couldn't do that, but they assured me that the noodles were less so I could still eat it all. However, it turned out to be quite a large portion! The thick and chewy noodles were delicious, but I was already full!

Finally visited Kawano Haruyoshi Honten, a restaurant I've been curious about every time I passed by! Ordered the motsunabe with soy sauce, motsu toji, and Oita-produced toriten. I was torn between soy sauce and miso, but ended up choosing soy sauce. The motsu was cooked perfectly, and once the vegetables became tender, I dug in! Started with the soup, which had a strong garlic flavor in the soy sauce base that was delicious. The chewy motsu was exquisite, and I loved the addition of lotus root. The cabbage soaked in the motsunabe soup was also a favorite. The motsu toji was highly recommended as well. I definitely want to go back again! Thank you for the meal!

As the title suggests, after eating and drinking, even though I couldn't fit any more food in my stomach, the final dish was definitely motsunabe. I felt like I had to eat it before leaving, so I looked up a nearby "motsunabe restaurant" on Tabelog and found what seemed to be a long-established shop. I called them right away to check the time and availability (I've learned recently to contact them before visiting: lol). They said it was okay, so I arrived in about a 10-minute walk. It had a nice atmosphere with its old-fashioned appearance. I was greeted by a friendly woman (maybe the landlady?), received an explanation, and ordered the recommended "soy sauce-flavored motsunabe." And, not discouraged, I also ordered beer and sake to finish off the night of eating and drinking. I didn't know motsunabe could be this delicious! It was a night of discovery. We ended the night with ramen. (lol) I would definitely like to visit again when I revisit Fukuoka.

A friend from Saitama and Amakusa came to visit, so we decided to drop by. I've been here several times and it's always consistently good, cheap, and delicious. The facilities may be a bit old, but the staff are well-trained and friendly. The motsu (offal) includes various parts besides just the intestines, and they are fresh and not gamey, so even people who don't like motsu can enjoy it. You can choose the flavor for the hot pot, but I recommend the classic soy sauce. They also have a wide variety of side dishes. I will definitely come back again.

Here is the motsunabe in Hakata! I used to go to Hakata often for work or travel (can't go now because of Corona (T.T)). Anyway, it's delicious! The noodles at the end are also delicious! The horse sashimi was also delicious! It's a restaurant where my wife thought motsunabe and horse sashimi were delicious for the first time! I think it's a great restaurant that I want to go to again when Corona settles down (^ ^)

I have been going to this restaurant with my colleagues for many years. They have private rooms and it's very relaxing. The motsu hot pot has a traditional taste and it's delicious. Personally, I like the soy sauce flavor. It has changed a lot since before the COVID-19 outbreak. Now we can order using QR codes.

This is the first stop on the Hakata Bullet Tour. We made a reservation through our eager friends and met up as soon as we arrived in Hakata. The place had a traditional charm with all private rooms, which created a great atmosphere. When we asked for all-you-can-drink, we were informed that it was only available with a course menu. However, they kindly agreed to let us order drinks separately. Seeing how quickly the beer was being consumed by the beer-only enthusiasts in our group, the staff took the initiative to restock the fridge in our room. It was a win-win situation, as we could drink without feeling guilty and the staff didn't have to rush around. We enjoyed vinegar motsu, salad, chicken tempura, horse sashimi, and motsu nabe with a choice of soy sauce or miso. Surprisingly, we all agreed on soy sauce for the nabe. The motsu nabe here included various parts of offal, not just the usual motsu, which was interesting to learn. We also had edamame, a choice of noodles or okayu for the finish, and dessert, which left us feeling satisfied. The decision for the finish was split, with 3 to 1 (me) in favor of noodles. The staff, who appeared to be young part-timers, were hardworking and attentive, always quick to offer help or clear away unnecessary dishes. It was truly a wonderful dining experience. Thank you very much!

The old-fashioned, hidden gem atmosphere of the restaurant truly reflects its long-standing history. Located in a quiet area, you can enjoy delicious dishes in a calm setting. It is said to be the original restaurant that created the famous Champon dish.

Motsu nabe specialty restaurant Motsu offers delicious shoyu and miso flavors with plenty of vegetables, making it a healthy and tasty option. Their champon noodles are also delicious and reasonably priced.

It was delicious! The vinegar tripe for 420 yen and buttered heart for 500 yen were really good! The porridge was also excellent! The tripe was quite tasty too! They also added free broth when I asked for more, so that was great!

The food is decent. The motsunabe (tripe hot pot) is not particularly delicious, but the atmosphere of the second-floor private room and the staff make you feel the good old Showa era countryside. Personally, I was very satisfied.

It had been a long time since I last visited, the soy sauce flavored motsunabe was still delicious as always. However, I felt a little disappointed that the old Kawano atmosphere was no longer there. I preferred it when there were no set courses or all-you-can-drink options. I guess it's just the way things change with time.

I had a rich-flavored motsunabe course with a soy sauce base. If there are 10 or more people, they apparently offer a free 1-sho bottle of sake.

The location might be a bit hard to find, but it's actually quite spacious inside. Even though it was a weekday, there were a few groups of customers. The gyoza was delicious! As for the motsunabe, it's a personal issue because the smell of offal was too strong for me, but I enjoyed the taste of the liver and intestines. The variety of alcohol was great and reasonably priced. The waitress, who was an older lady, was very nice, attentive, and kind. I would love to visit again when I'm in Fukuoka!

I was recommended by a friend to try the traditional soy sauce motsunabe at a well-known restaurant. I had high expectations since it has been featured on TV. The motsunabe was made with a mix of offal, and it truly had that traditional taste. When they say "traditional," they really mean that they don't use a lot of artificial seasonings. The flavor mainly comes from the broth, soy sauce, and mix of offal. Some people may have mixed feelings about it, but I personally liked it! I also enjoyed the side dishes, especially the vinegar motsu and the deep-fried cartilage. They had a homemade feel to them, and I would definitely want to eat them again.

I couldn't forget the taste and visited for the second time. It's still delicious. Soy sauce motsunabe. Two of us finished 6 servings in no time. We also added cabbage. I won't change the photo because it's the same as last time. Rating: ★★★★★★★★★★

I've always wanted to go to this restaurant but never had the chance to until now. I finished work early today so I decided to give it a try. I was worried about getting a table without a reservation, but luckily I managed to get seated. The first thing that caught my eye was the horse sashimi, even though it's a restaurant known for its motsunabe (tripe hot pot). I decided to order it and it was delicious. It was light and perfect as an appetizer before the hot pot. The motsunabe itself was also very tasty. The miso flavor was strong and satisfying. The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice and I was able to enjoy my meal in a relaxing environment. Thank you very much.
