The retro dining at the restaurant was not crowded, and it seemed like the main customers were local residents, unlike our restaurant where the main customers seem to be tourists. The curry I ordered was ordinary with a light baked texture. The European-style curry was delicious in a normal way. The award-winning croquette was also ordinary. The beef stew was quite hot, with a loose viscosity like soup. It was oily and the flavor was quite intense. The restaurant is working on a curry shop complementary plan! PayPay is accepted.

Lunch on the second day in Fukuoka. A late lunch after eating too much for breakfast. Couldn't decide on a restaurant, but heard that the specialty in Moji Port is curry baked in a croquette, so went to a restaurant where it was available. Ordered the Gold Award Croquette Baked Curry Set for 1,500 yen. The taste was quite ordinary. Seems like it's set up for everyone from kids to the elderly to enjoy? It was decently tasty.

I ordered the Fugu Yaki Curry Set, a specialty of Kitakyushu, and it was delicious! The Yaki Udon Omurice Set, a specialty of Moji Port, was also very tasty. The Chanra Teppanyaki Napolitan was a nostalgic flavor. Thank you for the meal!

There are various set meals including baked curry available at this restaurant. The interior is clean and many customers with children visit. The counter is spacious, making it easy for even solo diners to enjoy. If you sit by the window, you can see the Blue Wing taking off, which must be impressive. This time, I ordered the dried fish set meal which had a good amount of oil and was satisfyingly filling. Next time, I plan to try the baked curry!

Moji-ku, Kitakyushu City, Minato-machi. A cafeteria located on the 2nd floor of Moji Port Retro Kaikyo Plaza. You can enjoy dishes originating from Kitakyushu. They offer Kitakyushu specialties such as baked curry, chanpon (noodle dish), yakisoba (fried noodles), hayashi rice, and nikujaga (meat and potato stew), as well as nostalgic cafe menu items like whale set meal, teppanyaki-style spaghetti, and beef stew. Popular choices include Nakatsu Karaage (fried chicken) set meal, Retro set meal, and Kanmon dried fish set meal. This time, I ordered the Teppan Napolitan set (1200 yen). It comes with Teppan Napolitan, salad, and dessert. The Teppan Napolitan is a mild version with reduced acidity. The noodles are traditional medium thickness, and the ingredients include sausage, onion, bell pepper, and a fried egg on top. The salad consists of cabbage, lettuce, tomato, and corn - a very standard vegetable salad. For dessert, there was yogurt with pieces of mandarin orange. Having yogurt as dessert made it feel like a school lunch. The portion size was small for the price, and the taste was average. Thank you for the meal.

When it comes to Moji Port, everyone thinks of curry, but after coming here for work multiple times, I wanted to try something other than curry. I visited this place where they serve more than just curry and ordered the whale set meal. It included three types of whale dishes: lean meat cutlet, minced cutlet, and croquette. It was a delightful variety. I thought the soup would be miso soup, but instead, they served a local specialty called "niku-jiru," a dish with plenty of meat and ingredients. It was surprisingly delicious. The prices here are a bit high, as expected in a tourist spot, but still within acceptable range. Thank you for the meal.

I tried various baked curries in Tokyo and Chiba, but I couldn't forget the taste of the original one, so I came to Moji Port! I parked my car in the parking lot of the Kaikyo Plaza and headed to the Moji Port Retro Diner, which offers parking fee service. I sat by the window overlooking the sea and ordered the blowfish baked curry set for ¥1400, and my friend ordered the whale set meal for ¥1200. While waiting, I watched the drawbridge rise and a sightseeing boat pass by. After about 15 minutes, our meals were ready. The baked curry came with salad and a yogurt-like dessert. The cheese and egg, blowfish fry had a Yamaguchi taste and was really good! Oh, the sea is over there, haha. The whale set meal included whale cutlet and croquette, a nostalgic combination. It didn't taste particularly delicious, but it brought back memories of the Showa era. We paid with PayPay and also used the parking ticket service.

I visited for the first time on April 3, 2021, at noon. When it comes to Mojiko Retro, it's all about bananas and baked curry! So, I really wanted to eat baked curry, and decided on this restaurant. I went up to the second floor and sat at the counter. The female staff's attitude was not very friendly. The way she guided us felt half-hearted and unenthusiastic. I ordered a Pale Ale, a British beer for 680 yen, and a baked curry set for 1180 yen. The Pale Ale had a crisp bitterness that was delicious. The baked curry had melty cheese and was very tasty, making me want to come back for more. However, I couldn't help but think that the customer service could be improved a bit more while eating. When I looked at the Google Maps reviews, there were already 93 reviews, and even though the baked curry is delicious, the rating is exactly 3.0. It seems like there might be an issue with the customer service. It's a shame that such a delicious place is not getting the recognition it deserves. It seems like it could become a great restaurant if they make some improvements.

I entered the restaurant during lunchtime while on a 1 night, 2 day trip to Fukuoka and Saga. I ordered the baked curry set for 1180 yen. The baked curry had cheese in it and was rich and delicious. It came with salad and almond jelly. However, the price was a bit high due to being in a tourist area. Thank you for the meal.

The reopening of "Nidaime Kiyomi Shokudo" has sparked renewed interest in "Chan Ramen," but the public institutions aiming to promote tourism centered around Mojiko Retro are not ignoring this trend. Several old established restaurants and cooperating establishments have added this menu item to their offerings in recent years. However, such trends tend to fade over time, as seen with "Tamaya Udon" discontinuing the dish. One such restaurant, "Mojiko Retro Shokudo," is located right in the heart of Mojiko Retro, on the 2nd floor of Mojiko Retro Kaikyo Plaza. The service at this restaurant is lacking, with young staff members appearing disinterested in customer interactions. Despite the chaos and disorganization, the menu includes various dishes, including the famous baked curry and baked udon, typical of Kitakyushu cuisine. After placing an order for the "Chan Ramen" priced at 680 yen, the lackluster response from the staff and the uninspiring taste of the dish left much to be desired. The view of Mojiko Retro from the window offered a distraction, especially with the absence of the pirate ship "Funky Tiger Caribbean" that used to be moored there. The ship has since been relocated and now operates as "Funky Tiger Hideout" near the Kanmonkyo Bridge Park. In contrast, the quirky owner of "Robert no Akiyama" adds an interesting touch to the dining experience. Despite the lackluster appearance and taste of the Chan Ramen, the restaurant's simplicity and authenticity may appeal to some. Ultimately, the dish lacked any significant flavor or excitement, resembling a generic instant soup rather than a memorable culinary experience.

On this day, my mother and I had dinner here. We had eaten a lot of baked curry, so we wanted to try something different this time, and we chose baked udon. It was a very ordinary baked udon with a slightly generous amount of cabbage core. Thank you for the meal.

The baked curry was delicious. It had an egg under the cheese, which was good. However, it took a while to cool down and I ended up burning my tongue. The photo is of the baked curry set for 1,080 yen.

The croquettes were frozen, and the curry tasted like cafeteria curry. The prices were expensive, as expected for a tourist area.
