I visited the Sun Osaka store on the 27th floor of the Phoenix Tower at the Umeda Shindo intersection. I was seated at a table with a great view of the high-rise buildings in Umeda. The scenery in Umeda is constantly changing, with more and more high-rise buildings being built. The HEPFIVE Ferris wheel is now barely visible due to the tall buildings. I enjoyed some champagne to start. For my order, I chose the seasonal six dishes and the lunch set of beef fillet and twelve kinds of vegetables baked in the oven. The seasonal six dishes included bamboo shoot dumplings, vinegared saury with miso cream, chicken in hollandaise sauce, mountain vegetables with udo flowers, sea bream and daikon with myoga, and a salad with small shrimp and Northern Ruby lettuce. The presentation was beautiful. The beef fillet and twelve kinds of vegetables were served in a skillet. The beef fillet was very tender and melted in my mouth. The dish included cabbage, lotus root, taro, sweet potato, eryngii mushrooms, carrots, tomatoes, bell peppers, red heart daikon, broccoli, and other colorful vegetables. The rice served was multigrain rice. For dessert, I had black tea jelly, Earl Grey ice cream, and mitarashi dango, a variety of treats. I chose Rooibos tea from the selection of ten types of tea and coffee for my post-meal drink. It was served in a pot and was very satisfying.
