This restaurant, located in Kyobashi, has counter seats for solo dining (although there are also pair seats available). I have visited this place several times, but I had not posted a review on Tabelog. It is not the same place where the WBC and Samurai Japan team had their farewell party, but it is still called Meigetsukan. I visited during lunchtime and ordered the BBQ set with pork loin, and added thinly sliced Japanese beef (brisket) for an additional fee. The meal came with rice (free refills), two types of meat, cabbage, carrots, pumpkin, and a variety of side dishes like Namul, Kimchi, Chisha with spicy miso, soup, and rice. The side dishes offer great value, especially the three types of Namul and Kimchi. The pork loin was tender and delicious, while the brisket was surprisingly tasty for its price. The meal was so satisfying that I kept wanting more rice. The spicy miso was a great addition to the meal, especially when combined with the sauce. If you want to indulge in meat, skipping beer and focusing on the meat and rice is the way to go. The soup seen in the photos is from a different day, part of the Meigetsukan BBQ set with Galbi soup. This set included pork loin, Galbi soup, Chisha, spicy miso, Korean seaweed, three types of Namul and Kimchi, and rice for only 1500 yen. The Galbi soup was hearty and flavorful, with chunks of meat and a sweet and savory broth. It was a satisfying meal, and the Korean seaweed added an extra touch to the experience. The menu may vary slightly, with some sets including salad. The restaurant is usually busy on Saturdays, with customers coming in steadily throughout the day. The drinks may be a bit pricey, but overall, this is an ideal BBQ place where you can enjoy delicious and affordable meat, including Japanese beef.
