We had a lunch at a retirement celebration for our boss who we are grateful to. Our boss is a sophisticated lady who lives in Tonomine Hill in Nara, but she is also known to frequent Shitennoji Temple in this area. There are many hidden gem restaurants around here, and one of them is Osoleil Cuisson. I have tried many highly rated restaurants in Osaka, but the lunch here is really worth it! The quality of the ingredients is solid and the portion size is generous for the price! The bread was also delicious, with a crispy exterior and a soft interior. Although our boss had reserved the lunch course for 2750 yen, there were only two portions of smoked salmon left for the appetizer, so we had to substitute one with pate. The smoked salmon was thick and generously placed on a salad of vegetables. I tried the pate, which was also tasty, but the smoked salmon is recommended! For the main course, you can choose from fish, chicken, or lamb, with lamb costing an additional 500 yen. I chose the lamb, but the chicken also looked delicious! For dessert, we had two types of cake with ice cream and coffee. Along with the drinks we ordered, the total cost per person was within 3500 yen, and we left feeling satisfied. Thank you for the meal. I would like to come back again!

I had lunch for the first time in about 4 years. The salmon appetizer and chicken main dish were incredibly delicious! The grilled vegetables as a side dish were a bit different from what I expected. The dessert was so good that even though I don't like sweet things, I couldn't stop eating it! Thank you for the meal.

The price is under 1500 yen so it's a pass. So, here's the review. It was my third or fourth visit, but I finally managed to get a seat. It's always been either closed or fully booked whenever I tried to visit. This time, I made a reservation and got in. The clientele is down-to-earth, with construction workers from nearby sites and housewives. The taste is not outstanding, but it's decent and well-done, which I appreciate. The price is reasonable and worth it.

I felt like having bistro cuisine, so I went to a bistro in Tennoji called "Au Soleil Couchant". It's closest to Shitennoji-mae Yuhigaoka, but I was able to walk from Tennoji Station! I went on a Sunday, and they had a lunch course for 2530 yen (tax included), and on weekdays, they have a course for 1440 yen (tax included) too! The food was really delicious! It felt like it was made with great care! The braised cabbage was so tasty!! The portion was generous, the cost performance was good, and it's a hidden gem of a restaurant! I found a great place! #ousolielcouchant #bistro #Osaka #gourmet #Frenchcuisine #Osakafood #Osakalunch #Osakadinner #Osakadate #Tennoji #Tennojilunch #Tennojidinner #Tennjoidate #foodie #foodstagram #foodlover #connectwithfoodlovers

★★★ Au Soleil Couchant (au soleil couchant) ★★★ <03.04.01> Today's lunch was at my favorite French restaurant in Shitennoji. Since I made a late reservation, I could only have the weekday lunch set for 1,430 yen. It included sweet carrots from Kishiwada, a warm potage soup from Saiyo, pork and vegetable pot-au-feu, coffee, and bread. I added today's dessert for an additional 440 yen, which was a cheese tart and coconut and honey nougat glacé. It was delicious and warming, with generous portions. Adding the dessert increased my happiness even more. Today's lunch was at my favorite French restaurant in Shitenno-ji. For 2,530 yen, I enjoyed an appetizer, main course, assorted desserts, bread, and coffee. The meal was packed with plenty of vegetables and the portion was generous, with a satisfying dessert to finish off the meal.

I had a 2300 yen lunch course. You can choose three items each for appetizers and mains. I chose pork terrine and salmon for appetizers, and pork roti and today's fresh sea bream for mains. The pork roti was tender and delicious. It was a bit salty which made me thirsty afterwards. The bread was also tasty. The dessert platter with three different items was satisfying. I would like to visit again.

Order: Chef's course, 2 small bottles of beer
Tonight, I went to Bib Gourmand French restaurant. I was hesitant to come here because the gourmet ladies around me didn't give it a good rating. The second dish, Isaki fish poêlé with ratatouille, was quite delicious, but the last dish, roasted pork loin, was disappointing because the saltiness was too strong. With so many courses for just over 5,000 yen, it truly deserves the Bib Gourmand rating. Thank you for the meal.

First visit to Bistro Au Soleil Coucher near Shitenno-ji Temple. I always passed by this place on my way to visit the temple! Had a year-end party with friends who have been very supportive. We toasted with a semi-sparkling Vin Nouveau Blanc. The amuse-bouche was a rich and delicious pork rillette - a promising start! We chose the 4,000 yen course, with separate appetizers and mains to share. The chicken pate was finely crafted and didn't fall apart even when cut finely, with a delicate flavor. The escargot and mushroom parsley butter sauté had plenty of vegetables along with the mushrooms, and the parsley butter enhanced the flavor of the escargot. The main dishes were exceptional - the herb breadcrumb-coated pork tenderloin was amazingly tender and flavorful, while the lamb stewed in tomatoes was also tender and had a nice balance of tomato acidity and lamb flavor. I opted for cheese, and they even prepared a birthday plate for my friend whose birthday it was. We enjoyed the delicious food at a leisurely pace. Truly deserving of the Bib Gourmand! Thank you for the feast!

Last time I had lunch there, so this time I went for dinner. The couple who run the restaurant are really polite, the food is delicious, and the atmosphere is lovely. I almost don't want to tell anyone about it because it's tucked away and there are always few people there, but I don't want it to go out of business... This time I chose the deer course. The cooking, the sauce, the side dishes... everything was perfect! For this price, the quality was exceptional. Thank you for the wonderful meal. I can't wait to go back soon.

When I go to this kind of restaurant, I always worry about being rude, but when I mentioned that I don't like seafood, they kindly accommodated my request and served me a homemade ham as an appetizer, followed by a generous portion of chicken dish for the main course. The homemade ham was delicious and there was plenty of it. It went well with the drinks. I was able to make a last-minute reservation, so it turned out to be a surprisingly good find. It was a satisfying lunchtime experience.

The main dish, cup soup, bread, and coffee or tea seem to be the basic options at this restaurant. On this day, the menu featured pan-seared fresh fish and cold soup. The interior of the restaurant had a chic design with clean tables and chairs. The cold soup, "New Onion Potage," was smooth and refreshing without any rough texture, and it became my favorite taste. The main dish was pan-seared sea bream. It seemed like it was being cooked after ordering, so it might take some time when the restaurant is busy. After a while, the warm plate was served with a large sea bream fillet. It had a hint of white wine aroma. The side salad made from mashed vegetables and potatoes complemented the sea bream well. I wiped the plate clean with bread to savor the flavor of the sea bream completely. Finished the meal with an espresso coffee. It seems that by making a reservation, you can enjoy a more luxurious lunch, but this was satisfying enough. I would like to visit again as the menu changes daily.

Today's lunch was French cuisine at Shitennoji. We chose three options each for appetizers and main dishes to share with my wife. For the appetizers, we had smoked salmon and salmon rillette, and a salad with returned bonito. The salad was filled with fresh vegetables, including large arugula and red-stem spinach. For the main dishes, we had simmered pork shoulder loin with vegetables, pan-fried flounder with caper and melted butter sauce, and plenty of assorted vegetables. The dessert was a combination of three types: chestnut creme brulee, cheese tart, and chocolate terrine. The cafe offered a selection of coffee for a total of 2,300 yen. Everything was delicious and filling. The menu was full of vegetables, providing a refreshing taste. The simple dishes showcased the chef's dedication to creating a clean and delicious flavor. The lunch course was reasonably priced and left us completely satisfied. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere and was moderately busy, but with the quality of the food and the prices, I believe more customers would flock to this place. I feel renewed in my desire to continue enjoying the casual, healthy, and high-quality cuisine here.

I visited this restaurant for lunch for the first time. I made a reservation in the morning and was told that it would be fine to come around 1 pm. It seems to be a popular place. The restaurant is located on a street off the main road of Shitennoji, where there are nice shops selling Buddhist items and eateries. You might miss it if you're not careful, but you'll notice the French flag fluttering subtly, indicating the entrance to the restaurant! For lunch, a glass of wine was only 500 yen, so I ordered a glass of white wine. It was crisp and refreshing with a rich grape aroma, delicious and a great deal! The lunch course includes a choice of three appetizers: marinated mackerel, salmon, and pork terrine. For the main course, you can choose between roasted pork, beef stew (which was sold out when I visited), and pan-fried sea bream. The side dish is bread, and you can choose between a dessert assortment or cheese for dessert. I ordered the pork and my partner ordered the salmon. Both were incredibly delicious! The pork had various cuts with a delightful texture and the salad side dish was perfectly seasoned with salt and vinegar. The main course was sea bream for me and pork for my partner, both were delicious! For dessert, we had tiramisu, fig tart, and almond sorbet. I also ordered cheese, which came with a small baguette, a wonderful touch. I will definitely visit this delicious and lovely restaurant again. The interior and atmosphere of the restaurant were also lovely. It seems to be run by a couple, and from their demeanor, I was confident that the food would be delicious, and it was even better than expected!

We have completely stopped eating out, but we decided to go out for a special occasion. We chose a nearby place to keep it simple. We had been there for lunch a few times before, but this was our first time going for dinner. We had made a reservation a few days prior and were told to choose between 6:00 pm or 7:00 pm. We wanted to arrive around 6:15 pm, but ended up booking for 6:00 pm. We arrived a few minutes early, but the restaurant wasn't open yet. Even though we were told to come at 6:00 pm or 7:00 pm, we were hoping they would let us in a few minutes early considering we made the effort to be on time. However, there were two more groups that arrived after us, and they didn't come at 6:00 pm either. Maybe we were too serious about being punctual? Moving on, we made a toast. My wife had a beer, and I had a bottle of Cremant. We opted for the 4,400 yen per person course. The amuse-bouche was pork rillettes, which was decent. For starters, my wife had rabbit terrine, while I had marinated bonito. Both were delicious. The fish course was pan-fried saury with garlic chives and green eggplant. The saury was quite ordinary. The meat course was roasted duck, which was satisfying in terms of portion and taste. For dessert, we had chocolate terrine with coconut ice cream, which was tasty. We finished off with coffee or tea. My wife asked if they had lemon for her tea, but they didn't. It seems like many places don't offer lemon. We also ordered a glass of Pinot Noir each after finishing the bottle of sparkling wine. We finished our meal in about an hour and a half, and the total bill came to 16,960 yen. Isn't that quite reasonable?

On Sunday, I had a course meal with appetizers, main dish, and dessert. It was quite filling and satisfying. I had always thought French food was rich in flavor, but this place focused on bringing out the natural taste of the ingredients with a light and simple seasoning. Despite the generous portion, I felt it could use a little more creativity. The salad vegetables were fresh, the whole grain bread and post-meal tea were delicious. I appreciate the attention to detail and will definitely visit again.
