【First Infiltration into Guillotine! Really Liked It】Reserved for Thursday at 7:00 PM. There were six of us who visited. The restaurant was about 50% full. It was hot, but the outside counter was crowded with regular customers, so we sat at a table inside. When it comes to Osaka's super spicy restaurants, this one probably has the most well-known name, and I finally visited it for the first time. The staff were all women. Just by chance? Laughs. There were options to choose spiciness levels for some dishes, but fearing that ordering something too spicy would dampen our spirits, we mainly ordered normal dishes. - Items Ordered (excluding tax): Grilled Omi Beef Intestines ¥680 Guillotine Dumplings ¥380 Dried Squid Tempura ¥380 Whole Potato Salad ¥480 Guillotine Cucumber ¥380 French Fries ¥400 Curry Udon (Deadly) ¥900 Mapo Tofu (Devil) ¥950 Spicy Fried Chicken ¥980 Guillotine Fried Rice (Cursed) ¥980 Sundubu (Deadly) ¥900 Tomato Tonpei ¥680 First of all, most of the dishes that couldn't be chosen for spiciness were seasoned with a mildly spicy flavor, which I liked. After all, we came to eat spicy food. When you order Spicy Fried Chicken, it comes with a large amount of chili peppers and various powders mixed in, so I highly recommend using it to coat the fries or other dishes! If the spiciness is not enough, you can use the various spicy condiments available on the table. Each dish had a well-rounded flavor profile, and although it's a super spicy izakaya, it feels like a place where you can also enjoy regular izakaya dishes. As for the dishes with customizable spiciness levels... Of course, even if the same amount of chili peppers is used in each dish, the perception of spiciness may vary. For deliciousness, "Deadly" is just right, while "Devil" becomes slightly dominated by spiciness. I think "Deadly" is probably around a level 6 or 7 at CoCo Ichibanya. And about the Fried Rice... well, this is intense. I think if I went alone, I would be right on the edge of being able to eat it or not. It's a spiciness that feels like you're teetering on the edge of whether you can eat it or not. I didn't even dare to take a bite. Laughs. Just the spiciness alone was so entertaining. I thought it was a really great restaurant. The Fried Rice is cooked in a spot facing the street outside, but the spiciness is so intense that the air inside the restaurant also felt spicy. Laughs. It's a restaurant that I really want you to visit at least once! * The rating includes entertainment points as well.

This was my visit to the restaurant, although I forgot to take photos and only have 3. They offer specialties like Odo stew, super spicy mapo tofu (curse), and super spicy fried rice (curse). The spiciness levels go from God (the spiciest) to Curse, but you need to finish Curse before attempting God. I can handle Curse easily because I eat the spiciest sauce like ketchup or mayonnaise, but I haven't tried God yet. The frozen half-folded towel they give you when you sit down in the summer was a pleasant surprise. The staff is energetic, friendly, and engaging, and even though they now use mobile ordering, they still make an effort to interact with customers. Even if you can't handle super spicy food, this is a great neighborhood izakaya to have nearby. Love it!

I have always been interested in this place as someone who loves spicy food, but I couldn't go because they only open at night. On my day off, I finally made it there in the afternoon and was impressed by the frozen hand towel they provided. The friendly waitress also impressed me. The ice-cold highball in a chilled glass was amazing, especially during the hot evening. I love extremely spicy food, but I usually just sprinkle brand chili peppers on my food. However, I decided to try the "curse" mapo tofu this time. I can handle extremely spicy food up to a certain point, but the "R-18 curry" was a bit too much for me and made my stomach ache. The "curse" mapo tofu, on the other hand, was delicious and didn't upset my stomach. It had a nice and pleasant kick to it. People who are not sensitive to spicy food may not understand, but I also enjoyed the tasty cartilage and the customizable gyoza with various types of chili pepper. I even thought about buying some spices to take home. I had a great dining experience and will definitely come back again next time.

The place is a bit like Toyo in Kyobashi, with a nice outdoor vibe. The drinks are well-stocked and help yourself. The style is similar to Toyo's. There's also some entertainment value and it's perfect for those who love spicy food. However, the taste is just average aside from the fried rice. I tried the famous Guillotine Fried Rice (Chicken) for 580, the Ultimate Karaage for 680, Daikon Oden for 180, Egg for 150, Thick Fried Tofu for 150, Beef Tendon for 250, and Onion Bag for 250. The fried rice was delicious with large pieces of onions. The Ultimate Karaage was so-so, not sure what makes it "ultimate" haha sorry. The Daikon Oden had a unique flavor and was tasty. It was a bit hard though?

Dinner time at "Spicy Monya Guillotine Minamisenba Store" in Shinmachi 1-chome. I want to eat something spicy! When you feel that way, this is the place to go. First, cheers with ginger-infused shochu. Did you know that the shochu with pickled ginger originated in Osaka? It feels like a good deal to have a sweet and sour shochu with pickled ginger as a drink. Tonight, the dishes I had were: - Cold tofu: A half-size portion of cold tofu that used to be 100 yen per piece, now tripled in price. - Soft bone stir-fry: A dish with two types of soft bones stir-fried with salt. A must-order dish with a chewy texture of soft bones and a salty seasoning that goes well with alcohol. - Extreme fried chicken: Juicy fried chicken thighs overflowing with meat juice, simply delicious. - Cholegi salad: A salad with a sesame oil-based salt dressing, ordered as a palate cleanser after the mapo tofu. - Mapo tofu: Mapo tofu topped with ghost peppers, you can taste the spiciness up to the "curse" level. Despite the heat, there is a strong umami flavor, making it delicious. Friends who are not good with spiciness were sweating while eating it. But remember, do not eat the ghost peppers as toppings! It will be a disaster! Those who can finish super spicy dishes on TV shows are truly respectable. Spicy dishes are best enjoyed in moderation. It was a delicious and enjoyable meal. Thank you.

I love this type of shop! It has a fun stall-like atmosphere. You can choose to eat inside or outside. Outside, you can see the oden and doteni simmering right in front of you, which is very appetizing. Eating oden outside on a cold day is the best. The staff members are also cheerful and nice!

I visited a friend who loves spicy food on their birthday. We ordered the Guillotine Fried Rice and Mapo Tofu, both with extra spice. The fried rice was really spicy, so I added a raw egg on top. Even though I can handle spicy food, it was really hot! The service was great, they even let me watch them make the fried rice. The Daikon Radish and Green Onion Oden had a nice, comforting flavor. I think you have to try the God menu before anything else to truly appreciate the flavors. After finishing the fried rice and mapo tofu, I planned to have some yakiniku in Minami Senba, but my mouth was still burning from the spiciness. What a shame. I'll have to try again!

A must-visit for those who love spicy food! Visited with 5 friends and decided to try the specialty dishes at this second restaurant. We ordered the second spiciest fried rice and the spiciest one on the menu. The second spiciest was manageable for those who enjoy spicy food, but the spiciest one was so intense that just the smell made us cough! It's more of an experience than just a meal, so be prepared if you order it. The regular dishes and appetizers were also delicious, so I would love to come back for a casual drink next time.

I went to a super spicy izakaya recommended at a super spicy meetup while traveling in Osaka! Their specialty is the Guillotine Fried Rice ♪ The maximum level is 10 times spicier than God, but in order to challenge God, you need to finish the Curse first, so this time I went for one level below God (^^) Since it's fried rice, you can eat it quickly, but it gets extremely spicy afterwards...! It's more painful than spicy... Having milk helps... but the fried rice was really delicious ★ The menu is diverse and fun, so I recommend it!

I wanted to go to a spicy food restaurant, so I made a reservation on the same day and headed out! I walked from Honmachi to the restaurant - I wonder if it's closer from Yotsubashi? 1. Guillotine Fried Rice [Demon]: I asked the staff for a recommendation and went with the demon level for the famous fried rice. It was a fragrant fried rice, but as I kept eating, the spiciness increased - I was sweating a lot, but it was so satisfying to eat it with a huff and puff! 2. Guillotine Fried Chicken: They put fried chicken in a bucket, sprinkle it with powder, and you eat it by shaking it off! The powder is extremely spicy! And the size is also big! It was a great dish with plenty of eating satisfaction. The snacks and drinks were reasonably priced too! I recommend it if you like spicy food!

Dinner time at "Karai Monya Guillotine Minamisenba Store". I used to eat at the Shinmachi store before, but recently I've been coming to this one because the menu is more extensive. It's fun to eat outside like at a food stall, but tonight it's really cold so we ate inside. The dishes we had were: - Cold tofu: A rectangle of tofu topped with green onions, ginger, and bonito flakes, all for a service price of 100 yen! We eat it with a soy sauce-based sauce that doesn't get too salty no matter how much you put on. - Doteyaki: Tender Omi beef, so delicious ❤️ - Soft cartilage: A dish of two types of cartilage sautéed with salt that I always order. The chewy texture of the cartilage and the crunchy feeling of the soft cartilage, along with the perfect seasoning, make it my favorite. - Gyoza: Bite-sized gyoza like at a tempura shop, with crispy skin. When you eat it with the grated garlic on the table mixed into the sauce, it goes down smoothly with alcohol. - Oden: The meatball in the bowl of oden comes with green seaweed in the broth. This is my favorite oden here ❤️ Other favorites are the simmered daikon radish and egg. The egg is a favorite of my senior colleague. - Spicy French fries: A menu item that is spicy but not too overpowering like fried rice or mapo tofu, making it perfect for drinking alcohol. However, my senior colleague found it too spicy and even ordered milk. I, who have challenged the God of fried rice, found this level of spiciness to be nothing. Well, I did give up after one bite though. By the way, the three of us who love spicy food finished it, but the next day, Jyu, who couldn't handle it, couldn't come out of the bathroom. I also recommend grilling meat on the outdoor table grill! Thanks to the energetic service from the staff, I got the energy to enjoy another delicious meal tonight. Thank you as always.

I ordered the fried chicken fried rice set for 1000 yen. They were able to adjust the spiciness level for me, so I tried the "demon" level (5 times spicier). It was just the right amount of spiciness and delicious, so next time I want to try the "curse" level. The set meal was a good deal, but I realized I would have been satisfied with just the fried rice. The fried chicken was huge and filling, while the mapo tofu was numbingly spicy due to the Sichuan peppercorns, making it harder to eat than the fried rice. I like spicy food, but I'm not a fan of the numbing sensation.

I came here after a long time, but it's still popular, and the female staff members are energetic as always. I ordered a highball and oden for starters! The oden with atsuage, hiraten, kikuna, and negi pouch was delicious as usual! The hiyayakko (cold tofu) is only 100 yen but surprisingly large, definitely worth ordering! The potato fries are thin and consistently tasty. This restaurant mainly serves spicy dishes, so it's recommended for those who like spicy food. Thank you for the meal!

I had a craving for something really spicy, so I searched online and found this place with a Carolina Reaper pepper dish that made my mouth water. I wasn't sure how spicy it was, so I decided to go all out and order the maximum level. But it turns out I had to finish the one level below before I could try the Carolina Reaper. The smell of spiciness hit me as soon as it arrived. I had to start with the Carolina Reaper first before I could become a "God" at this place. I took a bite and it was so spicy that my lips were burning and swelling. But I had to finish it to earn the title. It was a tough battle, with sweat pouring down my face, but I managed to finish it. I definitely would have died if I hadn't had some alcohol. Next up, the "God" challenge.

The purpose was to challenge the extremely spicy fried rice at a certain YouTuber's recommended restaurant, to see what it was like! First, I ordered some drinks, Omi beef intestine grilled dumplings, daikon radish and konjac oden, and ton teki. Everything was delicious! Especially the daikon radish and grilled dumplings were exquisite, a must-try! Finally, I ordered the Guillotine Fried Rice, which is well-known for the challenge where you have to finish it alone in order to order the next level of spiciness. It was extremely spicy! I couldn't handle the ghost pepper, but just the fried rice itself was as impactful as the spiciest Peyang noodles. It has an immediate and accumulative spiciness, so if you're not good with spicy food, you probably won't be able to eat it! It's an award-winning dish at the Spicy Food Grand Prix, so if you like spicy food, definitely give it a try!

This restaurant is famous for its extremely spicy dishes. The spiciest dish, called God, can only be challenged after finishing the Curse dish below it. If you finish the Curse dish, you will receive a sticker which grants you the challenge right for the God dish. If you finish the God dish, you will receive a bracelet. Next time, I will challenge the God dish. The key is to swallow without chewing. It's recommended to drink milk before eating. Drinking milk during the challenge is not allowed. It's okay to drink water. Despite focusing on the extreme spiciness, the regular dishes are delicious. The oden is also comforting and if there's one nearby, I'd like to go with my colleagues. Not suitable for a date.

Gather all the spicy food lovers on August 23, 2020! Enjoy spicy dishes and drinks at the "Guillotine" in Yotsubashi, Osaka. Tonight, let's cheers with spicy food! The popular and famous spicy fried rice at "Guillotine" is a must-try. It has been about 3 years since my last visit. The location is great, just a 3-minute skip from Yotsubashi Station exit. The open setup facing the street gives an Asian street corner vibe which I love. I chose to sit outside at a table. The staff was polite when I made a reservation over the phone, and they asked if I preferred indoor or outdoor seating, which I appreciated. The table and chairs were a bit uncomfortable though, with no cushions, my backside was sore. The frozen cold towel they gave us was a nice touch in this hot weather. The menu is presented in a pouch, offering a variety of dishes including the famous fried rice, teppanyaki, oden, appetizers, grilled meat, and hot pot. The drink menu is extensive as well. I started with a mega highball and enjoyed some refreshing cucumbers. The tender Omi beef was delicious, especially with the default sweet and spicy sauce. The homemade spicy oil added an extra kick. The small and cute Guillotine dumplings were a perfect snack. The pork and bean sprouts dish was flavorful and went well with drinks. The spicy level of the dishes can be customized, and I chose the medium spicy level for the Guillotine fried rice, which turned out to be perfectly spicy and tasty. The tomato slices were unexpectedly seasoned with herb salt. The spicy and crispy extreme fried chicken was a highlight, with a generous amount of spices. The remaining chicken piece and spices were packed for takeout. The crunchy and juicy soft cartilage dish was also flavorful and salty. The spicy level was higher than the fried rice, making it a stimulating dish. The staff shuffled the spices in front of us for the spicy chicken dish, which was a fun experience. I had another mega highball refill and enjoyed the chewy and crunchy double cartilage dish. The seasoning was strong and added to the overall enjoyment of the meal.

The other day, my friend who went to eat the world's spiciest ramen also wanted to try the Guillotine fried rice, so we visited the restaurant. I thought it might be crowded since it was featured on TV, but we were able to get in smoothly around 6 pm. I ordered the "Curse" right away, and the Bhut Jolokia pepper was really intense. I struggled a bit and even rolled my eyes, but managed to finish it. Afterwards, my friend was rolling on the floor in pain from stomach ache. It was hilarious how he said the restaurant was weird for serving such spicy food after insisting on trying it. He did earn the challenge certificate from the restaurant, but he's retiring from spicy food. Other dishes were delicious though! I really love their mapo tofu here. For those brave enough, definitely give it a try!
