I used it for a daytime drink on my day off! It's interesting that the appetizer is pork shabu-shabu! You can add meat and green onions, but I didn't because it was hot. The broth was delicious, so I want to add it when it gets cold. Also, the hormone teppanyaki, fried chicken, and goya champuru were delicious. The drink service was fast, the lemon sour glass was well chilled, the staff were friendly, and I was very satisfied! It was so delicious and busy drinking that I ended up with only a photo of the goya champuru...

The interior of the restaurant was more spacious than expected with semi-private seating. 1. Beef offal hot pot set... Although I ordered the set, only the hot pot arrived. When I asked the staff, they said there was a mistake and it was ordered as a single item. No apology was given, so I left it as a single item. 2. Chicken nanban... The quality was low. 3. Sashimi platter with 3 types of fish... The quantity and price did not match. We only ordered this, but the bill came to around 6000 yen. Overall, this restaurant choice was a disappointment.

◉Genre: Izakaya, Lunch ◉Area: Near JR Hakata Station, Hakata-ku, Fukuoka City ◉Access: Just a short walk from JR Hakata Station ◉Parking: Not available (Coin parking nearby) ◉Credit Card Payment: Not available ◉Number of Visits: First visit ◉Number of Reviews: 1st review I decided to visit "Hakata Kurogane Main Store" on a whim on this day. ◇Exterior and Interior This izakaya is located just a short walk from JR Hakata Station in Hakata-ku, Fukuoka City. It is located under the overpass, and it is best to remember it near the entrance/exit on the Yodobashi Camera side. The restaurant serves alcohol from before noon and also offers lunch for those who don't drink. The exterior is conventional, and the interior is similarly geared towards the general public. The restaurant is non-smoking. ◇Seating The restaurant has a large box-type seating with easily over 100 seats. ◇Menu Composition Only a regular menu is available, consisting of salads, gyoza, tebasaki (chicken wings), kushikatsu (skewers), oden, nabe (hot pot), and more, including lunch options. The dishes I ordered are as follows: - Hakata Agodashi Negi Shabu (405 yen) → Including tax. This was my second stop of the day. After eating a rice burger, I came to this restaurant for a simple meeting. I did not order the above dish. That's right, the restaurant's complimentary dish is the Negi Shabu, so it is a must-try unless you are only using the restaurant for non-alcoholic drinks. If you order it as an additional dish, the price will be added, and even if you don't order any additional dishes, the complimentary dish charge will be added per person. The dashi (broth) was within the average range, but surprisingly had a gentle taste that caught me off guard. The meat was sliced, and the onions were provided in a pre-refrigerated state. Of course, knowing that the restaurant is geared towards the general public, there was no sense of discomfort at all, and the combination of dashi and onions... right in the middle of universality, so I thought it was particularly delicious. I haven't been drinking dashi at restaurants recently, so maybe that's why I thought of such a rude thing, but with this dashi, adding onions and tofu made it possible to drink without ordering anything else. If anything, it was much more enjoyable than the black oden I had on that day. ◆Strong Points An izakaya with a large seating capacity where you can drink from noon! ◆Service Average. ◆Summary A basic restaurant that is cheap and fast, so satisfaction will vary depending on what you are looking for. But the restaurant's complimentary dish system... personally, I find it interesting. Thank you for the meal.

Today I had plans in Hakata and after they were finished, we had a drinking party with 7 people! The organizer made a reservation at this restaurant! It's been 2 and a half years since I last visited... It is located under the elevated structure at the Chikushi exit of JR Hakata Station, with a great location near the station! The restaurant has a counter, tables, and sunken kotatsu seating with 180 seats! While looking at the menu, this is what we ordered this time: - Shabu shabu as the appetizer - Edamame - Octopus with wasabi - Black oden - Tamagoyaki (grilled egg) - Grilled dumplings - Addictive black pepper chicken wings - Hormone (offal) on a hot plate - Draft beer - Highball It was my first time having shabu shabu as the appetizer at a restaurant... haha There is a gas stove on each table, so you can ask for a refill if you want! I didn't add more this time, but it might be nice during the winter season? The specialty is said to be the grilled dumplings! They are served in a Hakata-style iron pot! The crispy skin and juicy filling... the crunchy cabbage adds a nice touch! This dish goes really well with beer! As expected, it was recommended... Next, my personal favorite dish was... the hormone on a hot plate! The flavorful offal with its fatty richness, the spicy kick of chili peppers, and the tasty sauce that goes well with beer, all heated on the hot plate to create a fragrant dish! The crunchy texture of the cabbage, along with the aroma of the garlic chives, also complement the dish... We were so engrossed in conversation that I forgot to take a photo of the first appetizer, shabu shabu... I'll have to make up for it on my next visit!

This was my first visit. I thought I ordered the daily lunch special for 800 yen, but it turned out to be 500 yen for early birds. The daily lunch special also came with a large size after-coffee, which was a pleasant surprise. The daily special was a hamburger set, which seemed to be for commercial use. With the savings, I also ordered some fried chicken and dumplings (each 200 yen). This place might be good for a casual drink.

Last month's lunch record, which I forgot to upload. I had a meeting near Hakata Station and took the afternoon off to go to the hospital, so I had a leisurely lunch. However, it seems like there are fewer lunch spots around, maybe because the situation with COVID has calmed down. I ended up at a place near Hakata Station after wandering around. It was my first time at this restaurant and they had a different daily special, which was tonkatsu that day. The place was crowded with lunch refugees and the staff seemed understaffed, so it was quite chaotic inside. I ordered the daily special, but they brought me fried rice instead. When I said it was wrong, they asked around and it turned out everyone got the wrong order. The person next to me said they were fine with the fried rice, so I ended up keeping it too. Despite the rushed atmosphere and sloppy presentation, the food was actually decent, nothing special though. They also served ice coffee after the meal, which was nice. It's tough when more people are coming in but not many restaurants are open. Thanks for the meal.

This is a izakaya restaurant located across from Yodobashi. I visited for lunch and ordered the daily special set meal, Sauce Tonkatsu, for 850 yen. I was seated at the counter and waited about 15 minutes for my meal to be ready. It was served to the customer next to me first. The Tonkatsu was topped with sauce. The meat was a bit tough. The rice and miso soup were tasty. It seems you can get a second helping of rice.

I stopped by [Hakata Kurogane Main Store] to take care of some errands in Hakata and have a drink before heading home. The place is spacious, so I decided to drop by on a whim and was able to get a seat. They have a happy hour from 11:00 to 19:00, which is great♪ On weekends, it's from 11:00 to 18:00. They offer Jim Beam Highball, Lemon Sour from a specialty bar, Midori Gin and Soda, and Beer Ball at half price (☆▽☆). It's a shame they don't have draft beer, but the happy hour deals are attractive. I ordered a highball. The appetizer was shabu-shabu, which was surprising (´゚д゚`). Oh, really? That's interesting. I leisurely stayed for about 2 hours, ordering snacks here and there. It's nice that you can casually drop by and it's affordable. Thank you for the meal.

I had lunch near JR Hakata Station and casually walked into a restaurant under the guard in front of Yodobashi Camera. I ordered the daily special for 750 yen, which was oyster fry, without hesitation. It was 12:30 on a weekday, and the table seats were full, so I was seated at the counter. The atmosphere felt like a nighttime izakaya near the station, with bottles of alcohol lined up in front of the counter, making me want to come back at night. The oyster fry arrived in about 5 minutes, with a crispy exterior and piping hot inside, and it was delicious.

After finishing my errands in Hakata, I decided to have lunch. It was past 12 o'clock and all the restaurants were crowded. I happened to pass by this restaurant and decided to go in. In Fukuoka, there are many chain izakaya restaurants that also offer a wide range of lunch options. When I entered, the place was full of office workers in suits. As I was alone, I sat at the counter next to a group of salarymen (sweating profusely). Since I had finished my errands, I decided to have a highball to start. The lunch menu was extensive, with a daily special of oyster fry for 681 yen on that day. I was tempted, but I wanted a bit more food, so I added 2 pieces of karaage for 100 yen and 3 gyoza for 200 yen, as they offered affordable add-ons that appealed to the salarymen. Today, I ordered the yakiniku set meal for 950 yen. As I watched the bartender pour me a fresh highball from across the counter, my meal arrived all at once. It included rice, miso soup, tamagoyaki, and bean sprouts. The main dish of yakiniku sizzled on a hot plate, accompanied by a spicy red miso sauce that added a nice kick. The restaurant catered to the tastes of the salarymen, with generous portions that left me feeling satisfied.

I went to Hakata Kurogane Honten in Hakata Station Central Street, Fukuoka City on January 31, 2023. This restaurant is located in the alley behind Yodobashi Camera at Hakata Station Chikushi Exit. I found an interesting promotion there - if you order by 12:00 PM, the daily lunch special for ¥750 will be discounted to just ¥500. I arrived at 11:45 AM and ordered the lunch special. It came with a side dish, pickles, and miso soup. I asked for extra rice (free of charge). The pork shoulder was thick and filling, with a sweet miso flavor that went well with the rice. With the extra rice, I was completely satisfied. It was a great value for a one-coin lunch near the station. Hakata Station Central Street 1-1 Nishi Kojika Shop, closed on holidays.

There is an izakaya located under the elevated section near Hakata Station that also serves lunch. As soon as you enter, you will see many table seats that were bustling. As you go further back, there is a spacious area with table seats, semi-private rooms, and raised seating for larger groups, which can be reserved for a more relaxed experience. This izakaya specializes in motsunabe (offal hot pot) and gyoza, but you can also order individual dishes, and their lunch menu is quite affordable. For lunch, you can get unlimited rice and miso soup. The Gyoza Set (950 yen) includes 8 gyoza, fried rice, a small side dish, miso soup, and pickles. There is also a Half Size Set (850 yen) with half the gyoza and fried rice, plus a salad. The gyoza is served in a hot iron pot, piping hot and juicy, with a perfect match of ponzu sauce. The fried rice is delicious but a bit oily. The small side dish was simmered taro and minced meat with a sweet sauce, which had a nice dashi flavor. The Nagasaki Sara Udon (800 yen) had crispy noodles, while the Hakata Sara Udon had softer noodles. It was topped with a generous amount of sauce and seafood like scallops in addition to vegetables. It's slightly sweet but still tasty on its own. They also provide sauce on the side, which adds another dimension to the dish. Although the place was convenient and offered many famous Hakata dishes, it seemed that tourists were flocking to ramen shops near Hakata Station during the New Year period. At lunchtime, there were mainly businesspeople and locals, giving the impression that it might be a hidden gem. The staff seemed busy but were attentive and kind, creating a calm and pleasant atmosphere. Overall, it was affordable, relaxing, and delicious.

■Overall review I used this restaurant for a small group drinking party. It's located on the floor next to the popular "Torikizoku" (basement floor). It offers a variety of dishes that represent Kyushu. After the party, I took a quick look at "Torikizoku" and it was still crowded. I've never really lined up for a restaurant before, except for places like Pan: Pan Stock, Amamudakotan, The ROOTS neighborhood bakery; Ramen: Rokusharin (Tokyo Omori era), Ginza Kagari main store; Tonkatsu: Most famous tonkatsu restaurants in Tokyo are almost as crowded. I don't like lining up much, so I usually make reservations if possible. ■Gyoza When you think of Fukuoka's gyoza, you may imagine the pan-fried gyoza, but there are also plenty of regular gyoza restaurants. This place serves the typical form of gyoza. ■Sesame Mackerel The second installment of Fukuoka's specialties. I'm not sure why it's sesame, maybe to eliminate the fishy smell. This sesame mackerel still had a bit of that lingering smell. ■Vinegar Offal When it comes to Fukuoka's yakitori restaurants, vinegar offal is a must-order item that goes well with drinks for solo drinking. ■Fried Chicken In Hokkaido, it's called "Zangi," but I'm not quite sure about the difference between that and regular fried chicken. I think it may have to do with the marination (many places marinate it). This part may not be related to Fukuoka (probably). I've been to a lot of fried chicken places like Zekkocho and Tarafuku Manma, so my satisfaction level tends to drop. ■Local Chicken Charcoal Grilled Skewers Two in a row. This feels more like Miyazaki. Personally, I prefer charcoal-grilled skewers that are a bit softer. ■Garlic Rice + Braised Pork This is probably from Nagasaki. I don't mind this combination. Thank you for the meal.

I visited a restaurant at Hakata Station where you can have lunch cheaply. At first glance, it looked like a small place from the entrance, but it turned out to be spacious enough to accommodate around 50 people towards the back. Even though the tables near the entrance were empty, for some reason I was guided to a large area resembling a banquet hall with sunken kotatsu seating. The seating area was dimly lit and quiet, which made me wonder why I was seated there. I ordered the gyoza fried rice set and the mapo tofu set. A lemon sour was priced at 250 yen, so I had just one. The set meals were average.

The staff were friendly and the food was delicious. There were three of us and when we were deciding on the portion size for the final noodles, the staff recommended that we go with two servings because it was quite large. We followed their advice and ordered two servings, which turned out to be more than enough for us. The motsu (offal) was a bit fatty, but there was a generous amount of vegetables which made it very tasty.

Hakata Station is about a 3-minute walk from the Chikushi exit. There are many cheap places to drink in this area, and this restaurant is one of them. It seems like a chain izakaya, but I decided to try it out for a daytime drink. I visited on a Sunday around 1:30 pm. Despite being an izakaya, they also offer lunch menus such as set meals and combos. Of course, you can also order from their regular menu. I ordered the fried rice and raw gyoza set from the lunch menu, which cost 950 yen. The alcohol options include draft beer for 250 yen, lemon sour for 550 yen, and extra shot for 250 yen. It was quite busy, so it took about 20 minutes for my order to arrive. The gyoza was not very tasty, and the way it was cooked was mediocre. I felt like I could have cooked it better myself. Next was the fried rice, which tasted average. It was cooked in an iron pot in the kitchen, not microwaved, so it was decently fresh. Overall, nothing stood out as particularly delicious, but I was thirsty so I indulged in some beer and sour drinks. Thank you for the meal.

Today, I had a long-awaited drinking session with my junior colleague from work. We wandered around Hakata Station without deciding on a place, and ended up at this restaurant right next to JR Hakata Station Chikushi Exit. The place is spacious and known for serving Kyushu's famous dishes. Even though both of us are from Kyushu, we didn't hesitate to order. We had: - Assorted appetizers (363 yen) - Garlic gyoza x2 (308 yen each) - Shiso gyoza (352 yen) - Kimchi gyoza (352 yen) - Cilantro gyoza (352 yen) - Fried potatoes (418 yen) - Beef tripe with vinegar miso dressing (418 yen) - Oden: daikon (220 yen), beef tendon x2 (275 yen each), chikuwa (220 yen), thick fried tofu (275 yen) - Single item all-you-can-drink (1,650 yen) The gyoza were all delicious, with a wide variety to choose from. My personal favorite was the shiso gyoza, which had a great combination of filling and shiso flavor. The kimchi gyoza was unique with its flavor and crunchy texture. As for the oden, the broth was dark and had a strong flavor, making the ingredients tasty. The bottled Malt's beer for the all-you-can-drink option was a hit, and we ended up drinking over 15 bottles between the two of us. After finishing up, we thought about leaving, but ended up going to a second place for more drinks!笑

I entered the shop around 2 o'clock in the afternoon because I wanted to have a drink. This shop serves Suntory alcohol. I didn't like Suntory beer, but I reluctantly ordered a bottle instead of draft, which cost 550 yen, just like draft. The amount was a bit much, but Maltz was still not good. When you come to Hakata, the must-try dishes are grilled dumplings, rolled skin, and motsunabe. They were on the menu, so I ordered handmade gyoza called "nama gyoza" which is not frozen. It was incredibly delicious. It might be the best I've ever had. The skin was crispy from being grilled on an iron plate, and the filling had a strong flavor that went well with the alcohol. I thought this level was quite high. And the addictive chicken wings! They were fried chicken wings, with a crispy coating, easily separating the meat from the bone. They were juicy and delicious. I think they surpassed Yamachan in Nagoya. I was also interested in the oden, but since I was drinking during the day, I decided not to order it. The prices were cheap, and I think it's a very good izakaya. The people around me were eating set meals with free refills, which looked very generous. Finally, I hesitated about trying the tsukemen, but I decided to save it for next time! I will come back and try it next time!

On the second day in Fukuoka, for dinner at the second restaurant, I tried the specialty dishes such as Hakata mentaiko, horse sashimi, chicken wings, and teppanyaki cheese gyoza. Also, the "Ice Lemon Sour" was really good, which I had at the next restaurant as well. I wonder if this is a Fukuoka specialty? It was delicious to eat and drink while it melted.

There is a tsukemen restaurant - Hakata Kurogane Main Store in Hakata-ku, Fukuoka City. I visited Hakata Kurogane Main Store on October 25, 2020 (Sunday). This place is located in a back alley behind Yodobashi Camera at Hakata Station Chikushi Exit. When I looked at the menu outside the store, I noticed that they have tsukemen available. The lunch menu is plentiful and reasonably priced! From set meals to champon, and even baribari plate udon, with free rice and miso soup refills. I chose to try the Kurogane Tsukemen for 800 yen (tax included). I opted for the rich broth out of the three choices of rich broth, spicy, and black ma-yu. The tsukemen arrived hot with the noodles and dipping sauce. In the center of the dipping sauce, there was a mountain of fish powder. The noodles were topped with seaweed, green onions, chashu, and menma. I enjoyed dipping the warm thick noodles in the rich pork bone soup with mixed fish powder. However, the portion of noodles was quite small, so I didn't feel completely full. After finishing the meal, I took a hot sip of the soup. Lastly, I enjoyed the complimentary coffee to end the meal. Since the noodle portion is small, it might be a good idea for men to add 100 yen for the extra noodle portion. The store is located at 1-1 Hakata Ekichuogai, Nishikojaka, Hakata-ku, Fukuoka City. Closed on holidays.
