On the final day of a two-week long business trip in Osaka, a young staff member requested to have okonomiyaki once again before leaving the city. It was their second time having okonomiyaki for lunch during this trip, with the previous day's lunch being takoyaki. The staff member's enthusiasm for trying different kinds of flour-based dishes was impressive. The group decided to visit a unique restaurant for their last okonomiyaki meal. The staff member opted for a set that included takoyaki and green onions as toppings, which also came with an additional egg. The presentation of the yakisoba served first was creative, using cabbage leaves as a base. However, there was a long wait of over 10 minutes before the okonomiyaki was served, which was a bit inconvenient for a group meal. The okonomiyaki arrived with a generous amount of green onions and an egg in the center, although the sauce was not visible due to the toppings. The taste was light and enjoyable, typical of takoyaki flavors. To enhance the flavor, the group added some spicy seasoning sauce from the condiments on the table. The okonomiyaki had a fluffy texture, possibly due to the inclusion of yam. The only downside was the absence of beer, as okonomiyaki is best enjoyed with a cold drink in the evening. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.

I went to the restaurant on Sunday afternoon by car. I turned left towards Wakayama on Route 26 and soon after, the shop is located, but I couldn't see the sign of the shop due to plants and signs, so I passed by once (sweat). There are a few parking spaces available. The interior of the shop has a somewhat unique design. I ordered simply the Buta-Tama (720 yen) and Hiroshima-yaki (1000 yen). The prices do not include tax, so I think the pricing is somewhat high. Both dishes had a strong umami flavor of pork. The Hiroshima-yaki was delicious, but I felt that the size was a bit lacking for the price.

I always eat the mochi mentaiko cheese monjayaki at this restaurant. It has a nice balance of flavors that make you want to come back for more! The yakisoba is served in a cabbage bowl, which is really cute!

On June 30, 2022, I ordered the Deluxe for 1,680 yen (including tax) and Buta-Tama for 800 yen (on November 1, 2009). I ordered the following menu items: Monja (Gomoku), Monja (Mentaiko Cheese), Negiyaki, Okonomiyaki (Sujiyaki). They were all delicious, but the Mentaiko Cheese Monja had a strong taste of mentaiko and cheese, which made it hard to feel like I was eating Monja. It was a bit disappointing. The Gomoku Monja was delicious. It might be better than Kansai-style takoyaki? When I was in college, I had many gatherings at Monja-yaki restaurants, so it also brought back some nostalgic feelings. The Negiyaki was also good.

I wanted to eat monjayaki, so I went. I ordered mentaiko mochi cheese monja, negi suji yaki, and squid yakisoba. The mentaiko wasn't spicy, more like tarako. Even kids can easily eat it. The yakisoba was a bit strong in flavor. Overall, it was just okay.

I went at night, and there was quite a line of customers. There is also an okonomiyaki restaurant next door, and both places seem to be popular. The menu has a variety of options like okonomiyaki and monjayaki, making it hard to choose. The okonomiyaki was fluffy and tasted delicious with sauce and mayonnaise. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere inside was lively. Since it's nearby, I would definitely like to go again.

Today's dinner somehow ended up being "okonomiyaki" (Japanese savory pancake) for some reason (laughs). On the way back from Lalaport, we were leisurely heading home when we thought, "Let's eat something before heading back," and quickly searched on our smartphones. Actually, we were planning to go to a certain chain okonomiyaki restaurant next to this one, but when we got there, there was a long line!!! So, we ended up visiting this restaurant that we had found during our search, and it turned out to be a great choice!!! There is parking right in front of the restaurant, with space for about 5 small cars and another place right next to it where about 10 cars can be parked. Surprisingly, they have a reservation system, which you wouldn't expect from the exterior of the restaurant. The person who seemed to be the owner asked, "How many people?" and when we said "Two," he promptly seated us near the entrance. Overall, the prices are quite reasonable. However, there is no compromise on quality at all, which is excellent!!! The portions are quite generous too! The ingredients also seem to be of good quality!!! The staff members are also nice. As we were eating, more and more customers kept coming in, so we just happened to come at a time when it felt empty. It was really delicious, so I hesitated about writing a review, but I decided to introduce it here. Another restaurant that I want to visit again has been added to my list~.

I went to this restaurant for the first time with my colleagues. I was tempted by the half set of okonomiyaki and yakisoba, but I decided to go with the simplest okonomiyaki set. It came with okonomiyaki, rice, miso soup, rolled omelette, and a drink, which was very satisfying. The set with onigiri and fried chicken also looked appealing. However, I was a bit disappointed that the coffee, which was roasted in the shop, was lukewarm. If I go back, I will choose the set with onigiri and fried chicken.

This is a shop I use regularly. The cabbage here is somehow sweet and delicious. I really like the cabbage they put under the yakisoba. The pizza-style monjayaki is popular with the kids. The okonomiyaki is also quite tasty, and the suji pon is really delicious. The side menu is also quite tasty. There are various desserts available. The sauce is sweet and flavorful. They also had a super spicy sauce available. Overall, this is a shop I use a few times a year.

I went to a Monja-yaki restaurant. I had tried Monja-yaki once a long time ago, so I didn't have high expectations. But when the food was being cooked, it looked delicious and I couldn't wait to eat it. It seemed like a strange dish, all mushy, but as I kept eating, it started to taste good. They also had side dishes like potatoes and salad, which were also tasty. However, the beer was a bit watered down and they started cleaning up around 10 pm, even though they close at 11 pm. The food was good, but the atmosphere felt a bit unsettled.

I was invited by a friend who lives in South Osaka to visit a popular local restaurant on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. I love okonomiyaki, so I was excited to go. However, they were known for their monjayaki, so we ordered both. I had never had monjayaki before. We ordered pork and cabbage okonomiyaki, pork kimchi yakisoba, tonpei (pork and cabbage stir-fry), and mochi cheese mentaiko monjayaki. Everything was delicious, even though I had never tried monjayaki before. The tonpei was simple but tasty, the yakisoba was delicious, and the monjayaki was also very good. Despite the retro interior, the food was great.
