I finally got to visit a restaurant that I had been saving for a year. It was my second stop of the night, so I made sure to make a reservation in advance since it was a Saturday. We were seated at a table in the back. The drink menu had a selection of shochu, sake, and wine, all of which seemed to be carefully chosen. I started with a highball, opting for the Asakura Highball in support of the Asakura recovery. One of my companions had a glass of orange juice, which came with a large logo of a firefly. I also tried the lemon sour later on. - Appetizer: Chilled Chawanmushi The chawanmushi was amazing, topped with salmon roe, seaweed, and a mysterious vegetable that was surprisingly delicious. - Charcoal-grilled Tuna This was a delightful dish with bite-sized pieces of tuna served with garlic salt. The presentation was elegant. - Smoked Cheese with Iburi Gakko and Salted Kombu A perfect combination of flavors, the smoked cheese with iburi gakko was unexpectedly delicious. - Deep-Fried Capelin Fish It was my first time trying capelin fish, and despite its appearance, it was surprisingly tasty with a rich umami flavor. - Grilled Sweet Pepper A different vegetable, similar to green peppers, which I didn't particularly enjoy, but those who like green peppers or bitter flavors might appreciate it. - Salt-Grilled Squid This dish was outstanding, grilled just right to give it a rare, sashimi-like texture. Definitely a menu item worth ordering again. - Grilled Firefly Squid on Tatami Mat This dish was a bit overcooked, giving it a slightly bitter taste. The top part had a better grilled texture. - Pickled Vegetables Assortment A light and refreshing accompaniment to the meal, with a pickled ginger that was surprisingly delicious. - Firefly Squid Clay Pot Rice This was the highlight of the meal, served in a clay pot with ikura, crab, mentaiko, white fish, mitsuba, and young corn. It was so delicious that we couldn't stop eating. Towards the end, we were surprised with a dessert plate, which was a lovely gesture for my birthday, even though it was a month ago. The dessert plate featured a drawing of Kiki and Lala, which was done by a student part-time worker. It was a small dream come true, and I was truly grateful. Overall, it was an amazing restaurant experience! Every dish was elegantly presented and within my favorite genre of food. I would love to come back and try more of their grilled, steamed, and simmered dishes. I definitely want to visit again! Thank you for the wonderful meal.

I visited the Hakata Hotaru Nishi Nakasu Honten. I have visited the Azabu Jūban branch a few times in the past, but this was my first time at the Nishi Nakasu Honten. The interior of the restaurant has a spacious first and second floor, and the staff's customer service was pleasant. On this day, I was looking forward to the Instagrammable menu item, the Hotaru's Nikura (¥1800)! I thought it would only have meat, sea urchin, and salmon roe, but the box was filled with rice, so if you plan on ordering the famous clay pot rice afterwards, you should be aware of this. The restaurant offers a variety of drinks, including craft beer from Kyushu and a good selection of wines, making it a suitable place for drinkers. I have been learning about grape varieties recently, so I tried Muscat Berry A, Sauvignon Blanc, and Cabernet Franc. Knowing the grape varieties makes drinking wine more enjoyable, so I want to continue studying more as a beginner. Near the restaurant, there is the Michelin three-star Sushi Sakai and the wine bar Opium, so this area seems worth exploring. I would like to visit again when I come to Fukuoka. The atmosphere is still very nice. We dined in a private room at the back of the first floor. The service from the staff was good and the food was delicious. The rice in the photo was shown to us at our table before being served. Excellent service, highly recommended for business entertainment.

No matter how many times I go, I always want to go back to this wonderful restaurant♫ This time, even though it was hot, I didn't have hot pot, but I felt like having noodles. When I mentioned that I missed the Sudachi cold udon that was on the menu before, they kindly made a delicious somen instead! I am very grateful❤ The straw-grilled salad is consistently delicious, so I will definitely go back again♫

First of all, I want to praise the staff at the restaurant. They were very friendly and energetic, with sharp attention to detail and a welcoming attitude. They served us promptly and it was truly impressive. The sashimi platter with fresh seafood was delicious, especially when paired with garlic salt. The crispy bell peppers were exactly as their name suggests - crispy and juicy, and paired perfectly with the meat miso. The rare tuna cutlet was simple yet delicious with just salt and wasabi. The Ebi Shio Onigiri and Aosa miso soup were made with care and allowed us to truly enjoy the flavors of the ingredients. The rich cheese pudding, with its combination of salty and sweet, was so good that we could have eaten multiple servings. The atmosphere of the stylish and trendy restaurant was great, and I am definitely looking forward to trying other items on the menu.

Hakata Hotaru Nishi Nakasu Honten was a luxurious experience with their clay pot rice dish. Before mixing it, I had to take a photo because it looked so good! Spreading the liver pate on Mutsukado's bread was pure happiness. The sashimi was fresh and delicious, and the appetizers were also lavish. The rare tuna cutlet was amazing, I highly recommend trying it. It was a great restaurant experience!

First of all, the stylish entrance got me excited. I used this place for a company reception, and the all-you-can-drink menu was extensive, including Premium Malt's. The most impressive part was the freshness of the fish in the dishes that came out... I will definitely come back!

I visited the restaurant for a work meeting. I had always been curious about it as I passed by before. The staff's service was particularly wonderful. The food was good, and the all-you-can-drink menu was great too. They had Shirataka Ginshiro and Kinshiro, which I personally liked.

I made a reservation online in advance for a seat and the menu items I definitely wanted to eat. I sat at the counter and enjoyed watching them prepare the food. I received various dishes in addition to the ones in the photos, but I was so busy chatting, watching, and eating that I forgot to take pictures. I couldn't finish the last pot rice, but they kindly made it into onigiri for me to take home, and it was delicious the next day. Snap peas are just so delicious, aren't they? ♥

I chose the 6000 yen all-you-can-drink course! The amount of food was a little small, but there were plenty of drinks to enjoy. The exterior is beautiful, so it seems suitable for any occasion. The staff were kind and they were diligent about ventilation, so it was good!

I used it for the second party. I entered around 9 pm on the weekend, so I thought it would be full, but I was guided to a table seat in a semi-private room on the second floor. I ordered drinks and snacks. I was drunk, so I couldn't take many pictures. The menu recommended mixed rice, so I ordered it as a closing dish. It was exquisite. There were also rare drinks that were delicious.

It was a delicious and stylish restaurant! Perfect for an adult date. The handwritten welcome card on the counter was a nice touch, and it was fun to see the cooking process up close. The staff were all friendly and great at chatting. Their greetings were big and made you feel really welcome. The food was all delicious, especially the sashimi and liver, which were thick and fresh. The meat, ikura, eggs, and sea urchin were all amazing as well. The clay pot and nodoguro were incredibly tasty too. Overall, the menu had a lot of dishes that went well with drinks, so the portions were on the smaller side. I ended up spending quite a bit due to the variety and prices, haha.

A seafood izakaya in Nishi-Nakasu! The interior was very beautiful and filled with couples. The staff were in sync and had great energy. When a guest mentioned they had a shellfish allergy, the staff made sure to inform them that the breading on the tuna cutlet contained shrimp, showing great hospitality. The food was delicious, especially the beef tongue and the specialty kama-meshi.

I enjoyed everything I ate, and not only the taste but also the service exceeded my expectations. Ordering the drink together with the clay pot at the beginning was a good decision since it takes about 40 minutes. Menu items included sesame mackerel, potato salad, charcoal-grilled chicken breast, Shine Muscat and cream cheese with prosciutto, and a clay pot dish. We ordered the size 1 clay pot and two of us girls finished it all in no time, haha.

The interior is beautiful and clean. The staff is friendly, bright, and polite. The food is delicious and beautifully presented. It's no wonder the restaurant is always full. They even provide an ice bucket to keep bottled beer cold. It's a great place for couples, but also suitable for groups of men.

This trendy izakaya, which is a favorite among fish lovers, has a second-floor seating area and a spacious interior. The food is delicious, but the prices are not justified. For example, a plate of sashimi for two costs 3600 yen, and a small serving of horse sashimi costs around 2500 yen. There are plenty of other places in Fukuoka where you can enjoy equally tasty sashimi and horse sashimi for half the price. Located in a charming back alley in Nakasu, the restaurant may have higher overhead costs, but I don't plan on returning.

I used to love this restaurant because of their great customer service, but it had gotten crowded so I stayed away for a while. When I finally went back, I found out that all the staff had been replaced. From the very beginning, they got my seating wrong, asked if they could take my flimsy jacket, and even placed the disposable chopsticks the wrong way twice. When I pointed it out, they admitted their mistake. It's such a shame because I really liked this place. It's disappointing that no one had corrected the staff's behavior before. If they continue with the same mistakes next time I visit, I won't be able to recommend this restaurant to anyone.

The food at this restaurant is delicious, especially the sashimi which is fresh. All the dishes that come out are beautiful and tasty. The interior of the restaurant is stylish and the atmosphere and service are great. It's a bit pricey but worth it! I've also been to the Hakata Hotaru in Ginza and Roppongi, but somehow I prefer the one in Fukuoka. I will definitely go back!
