● Additional post (January 2015)
Following last month, I visited early in the new year. This day, I unexpectedly had a wonderful encounter. There was a lovely staff member. A beautiful young lady who had just finished her coming-of-age ceremony recently. Well, it's inevitable that an old man like me would get excited. Let's start with a toast! My companion for the day was a young friend. He promised to take me to a cheap and delicious restaurant, so I knew he wouldn't let me eat anything bad.

- Tonpei Yaki
Other than the Tonpei Yaki, I had tried everything on the menu before, so I can confidently recommend them. This was my first time trying Tonpei Yaki, and it was quite unique. It consists of thick pork and mozzarella cheese wrapped in a fluffy egg. Oh, it was delicious! The wine kept flowing. I left the restaurant even more satisfied than last time. Oh, by the way, the lovely staff member will be leaving Osaka at the end of March. If you want to be pampered by a lovely staff member and delicious food, make sure to visit early. Thank you for the meal!

This was our third stop with my friend. The owner, Mr. Shibuya, is a young entrepreneur who also manages franchises of Valmar Espana in Kyobashi and Esaka. The restaurant is characterized by typical bar pricing and a wide variety of dishes. The house wine, both red and white, is priced at 380 yen. Other wines range from 540 to 1300 yen. Bottles range from 2700 to 6480 yen. I ordered a glass of wine with an interesting label featuring Beethoven's face.
- Beethoven Symphony No. 9 Label 2012, 690 yen
This wine is from a winery in Vienna, and it seems they own Beethoven's house as well. It had a refreshing acidity and sharp taste. Food-wise, the recommended dish was the duck dishes.
- Duck four-way assortment, 980 yen
Mustard seeds, balsamic vinegar, smoked, rare, you can enjoy the change in flavors and feel the value in this dish.
- White duck dumplings (6 pieces), 480 yen
- Red duck dumplings (6 pieces), 480 yen
We tried both. The white duck dumplings were delicious and tender. The red duck dumplings had a unique taste, with miso paste, chili oil, and white sesame mixed in.
- Ham cutlet, 480 yen
This is a personal favorite. Crispy coating with juicy ham inside. Dip it in mayonnaise for a delightful experience. I finished the meal with this dish. I felt like having rice after that.
There were many other duck dishes on the menu, creating a duck-themed park. The restaurant is surprisingly cozy, with a homely atmosphere. Whether as the first or last stop, it's a casual place to drop by easily. I'll definitely come back. Thank you for the meal!
