The restaurant is located on the B2 floor of Osaka Station Building No.3, although it's not shown on the map. The staff was helpful over the phone, even though they were busy. After 11:30 am, there's a long line, but you can check the menu while waiting. Ordering early is recommended. The turnover is fast since there are no alcohol drinkers. I ordered the following: - Fresh soy sauce udon for 630 yen - Jako rice for 370 yen The udon had a unique texture and aroma, different from others. Even the regular size was satisfying. The Jako rice had a rich flavor and was delicious. The pickles were also tasty. I would wait in line again for this udon. Overall, it was a delightful meal.

In front of the station building, there is a popular udon restaurant known for its long lines, similar to the famous dancing udon restaurant. The udon here has a firm texture and is typical of Sanuki udon. They also serve chilled and tempura udon with yuzu juice on the side, and offer monthly limited edition udon dishes. The dancing udon style may not be to everyone's taste. I ordered the chilled and tempura udon with 1.5 servings, which cost 1,400 yen and they accept PayPay. It was a Sunday at 11:30 am, and I had to wait in line for about 40 minutes due to the crowd of about 20 groups. The seating is limited, so there is a bit of a wait for an udon restaurant.

The fig and sudachi dish for September was delicious. We shared the champon udon from the previous menu, which was also tasty. Even though it's hot, I still felt like eating something with a sauce. I think the chilled version really brings out the flavor of the noodles. We arrived before 11:05 and were able to get a table on our second try.

Limited-time September dish - Umeboshi and Yuzu Udon for 1,100 yen. Umeboshi Tempura for 450 yen. Extra noodles (2 servings) for 200 yen. The Umeboshi Tempura that the person next to me was eating looked so good that I couldn't resist ordering it. It was such a happy moment. I ended up ordering the extra noodles, but maybe 1.5 servings would have been enough for me. Nevertheless, I finished it all in no time.

The menu item is Chanpon Udon for 1,100 yen. Despite it being summer, I decided to try the hot udon. The thick ankake sauce with plenty of vegetables like cabbage and green onions was a nice touch. The flavor of the sauce was a bit strong, but when eaten with the udon, it was very satisfying. The noodles were hot, so the texture wasn't very firm, but it was still decent. I think it would be good to try a cold menu item next time.

There were about 7 people lined up, but it didn't take even 5 minutes to move forward. I ordered the limited edition fig and sudachi udon with chikuwa tempura for 1300 yen. It was my first time here and I was planning to order the regular menu, but I was drawn to this dish by its refreshing appearance. The noodles were smooth and the broth had a very clear and refreshing taste. The figs were prepared in a way that you could eat them whole. The staff moved efficiently, so I think I could come here during my lunch break. The limited edition dish was a bit too light for my taste, so next time I would like to try the regular menu.

Udon Bou is a super popular udon shop with long lines every day. I visited around 12:30 on a Saturday and there were 10 groups ahead of me! The limited edition fig vinegar and yuzu udon for September was amazing. The combination of fig and yuzu was surprising but the acidity of the yuzu complemented the sweetness of the fig really well. The udon was smooth and chewy, and the broth was excellent. I also enjoyed crushing the yuzu pulp with my chopsticks to enhance the flavor. Highly recommended!

I visited the highly popular udon restaurant located on the B2F of Osaka Station Building No.3, where they are serving a limited-time menu for September called "Fig Vinegar and Citrus Udon." Despite hearing about the long lines, I underestimated it and arrived around 10:50 thinking it would be fine since it was a weekday. However, there was already a long line. I managed to place my order while waiting in line, and once inside, the udon arrived promptly. The "Fig Vinegar and Citrus Udon" set came with cooked rice and freshly fried fish cake on top. The presentation was beautiful and the udon had a refreshing sweetness from the fig. It was smooth and had a good texture, with a satisfying broth. The cooked rice was fluffy and comforting, and the crispy yet chewy fish cake was delicious. Overall, the meal was beyond delicious and I left the restaurant feeling very satisfied. By the time I left, the line had gotten even longer. I highly recommend experiencing the chewy texture and refreshing taste of their udon. Thank you for the meal!

This was my first time visiting Udon-bo. It's a very popular place, and last time I came, I couldn't muster the energy to wait in the long line, so I ended up eating Russian food and going home. But today, I decided to line up! I was supposed to arrive at 11:00, but I forgot my commuter pass and had to go back to get it, so I arrived at 11:15. There were 18 people ahead of me, but I thought the turnover might be fast since it's udon, so I waited! While waiting in line, they brought me the menu. After a while, they came to take my order. I got seated at 11:35. There was a group of 5 people ahead of me, but they were put on hold. I guess it can't be helped since they are a group of 5... This place is not very big, so it seems like it's just right for 1 or 2 people. I saw on Instagram that I definitely wanted to try the fig udon, so I came, but this time they had a September limited menu, the fig and yuzu udon! It came out in about a minute. It was really delicious. The sourness of the yuzu combined with the sweetness of the fig, and the broth was really tasty. The udon itself was also very delicious. I understand why this udon shop is so popular! The udon is really delicious! Next time, I definitely want to try the chilled udon with poached egg, but I might just have to repeat the fig and yuzu udon (lol)! There were more people ordering different udon dishes than the fig and yuzu udon. It seems like this place is popular for its delicious udon. Thank you for the meal. I thought there were a lot of customers waiting, so I ate and left quickly. As expected, there was a huge line outside! Thank you very much! It was delicious.

I ordered grated daikon udon at Udonbou. The broth was very flavorful with a perfect balance of soy sauce and dashi. The udon noodles were very firm with a smooth texture and a pleasant throat feel. When I added yuzu juice for a flavor change, a refreshing taste spread in my mouth. Thank you for the meal.

The limited edition fig vinegar and sudachi citrus udon this month was truly beautiful with the green of sudachi and the pink of fig. However, after waking up at 4:30 and walking 20,000 steps today, I opted for the meat dish. Learning from my past mistake, I also ordered the set with simmered rice this time. The Olive Beef, similar to shabu-shabu meat, was incredibly sweet and delicious. It had dried mushrooms and plum paste which made it lighter than pork. The simmered rice with a sharp ginger flavor and the pickled vegetables were also delicious. Thank you for the feast.

I went around 6 pm on a regular day. There were already about 3 groups waiting in line. While waiting in line, a staff member came to take our order. I ordered chilled chikudama tempura udon for 1250 yen, champon udon for 1100 yen, and a side of mixed rice for 300 yen. After waiting for about 15 minutes, our order was called and we sat at the counter. The interior of the restaurant was in a traditional Japanese house style. Since we had pre-ordered, our udon arrived in about 5 minutes. The champon udon was warm and had a gentle flavor, with soft udon noodles. The chilled chikudama tempura udon had grated daikon radish, perfect for summer. The noodles were cold and had a nice firm texture. The mixed rice was ginger-flavored, simple but delicious. It was very tasty.

I had planned to visit the Sanuki Udon restaurant in Tokushima, but unfortunately, I couldn't find the opportunity, so I visited the branch in Osaka instead. The udon noodles were delicious with a nice firm texture. The seaweed topping was crispy and added a great flavor. It might be different from Osaka-style udon, but if it's delicious, that's all that matters! [About the review] This is just my personal subjective opinion. I keep track of the wait time, entry time, and serving time to plan my schedule. Everyone has different tastes, so I also evaluate based on customer service.

I arrived a little before 11 o'clock on Saturday, but there was a long line! I couldn't get in on the first try, so I waited a bit. But the turnover was fast and it was good. I ordered the tempura and cold udon. I tried tempura with shiso and nori for the first time! The shrimp was plump and the udon was smooth and delicious! If I go to Osaka again, I will definitely eat here.

This is a famous udon restaurant in Umeda known for its Sanuki-style udon. There is always a long line, but I went early and was able to get in right away. They offer a variety of menu items, from traditional to unique and creative dishes. On this day, I tried the udon with fig and sudachi, which was surprisingly delicious. The location used to be in a strange, giant mixed-use building, but recently it has become a trendy area with many different shops. If you master the underground passageways, you can easily find your way to this restaurant.

Located on the B2 floor of Osaka Station Building No. 3, "Udonbo Osaka Main Store" is a restaurant that has won the Udon Hyakumeiten award on Eatery for five times. Even before 1 p.m., there was a long line, but we were able to get in fairly quickly due to the fast turnover. I tried the Champon Udon, which was full of ingredients and had a delicious ankake broth. Additionally, they provide grated ginger on the side, so you can add it according to your preference. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I came here because I wanted to eat delicious udon after a long time. There is quite a line, but the turnover is fast so you can get in fairly quickly. I was debating between the chikuta tempura and the grated daikon udon, but today I chose the grated daikon udon with chikuwa tempura topping. The udon was firm and had a light broth for the bukkake. The chikuwa tempura was large and crispy, but also had a light taste. If I have the chance, I might come back again. I would like to try the hot udon next time.

On August 31, 2023 (Thursday), I had dinner twice during a day trip to Osaka, Osaka Prefecture. After leaving Tennoji, I walked through the underground shopping area towards Osaka Station and ended up at this restaurant in Osaka Station Front Building No. 3, even though I originally intended to go to a different restaurant in Building No. 4. I hadn't had breakfast or lunch that day, so it was two dinners for me. This place is a popular Sanuki udon restaurant listed in the Udon Hyakumeiten WEST 2022 ranking on Tabelog. By the way, out of the 100 restaurants listed, I have written reviews for 36 of them. I am ranked 71st in the rankings (laughs). I arrived at the restaurant at 7:15 PM and there were two people waiting in line outside. While waiting, I was given a menu. When I asked about the most popular dish, I was recommended the Chikudama Hiyaten Udon (1250 yen), so I decided to order that. After about 5 minutes, I entered the restaurant and sat at the counter. The udon arrived shortly after. The noodles were firm, had a good texture, and didn't stretch too much. However, the flavor was lacking a bit. The broth had a sweet and strong taste, which I later realized was made with sardines, horse mackerel, urume fish, bonito flakes, and Hidaka kelp, as mentioned in the menu booklet. The tempura with shrimp and fish cake was decent. I left the restaurant at 8:06 PM and caught the Nozomi 56 train from Shin-Osaka, arriving in Tokyo at 10:33 PM. Throughout the journey, I was able to admire the Super Blue Moon on the right side, although it was occasionally obscured by clouds.

Today is the last day. We arrived at 1:00 pm and were seated right away because we were a group of three. Maybe it's because summer vacation is over. The udon noodles are neatly arranged. Squeeze some lemon juice on them. Even if you're not a fan of spicy food, the broth is light and doesn't cling to the noodles, so you might be able to handle it. There are plenty of vegetables, so it would be a waste not to drink the broth. Overall, it might still be a bit spicy.

I went to this udon restaurant for a light lunch before going out for drinks at night. I ordered the Meat and Mushroom Tempura Udon with Soft-Boiled Egg in Soy Sauce. The presentation looks great! I like that the condiments are served separately. The noodles were smooth and had a good texture, very delicious! The mushroom tempura was crispy and the meat was juicy, I can see why it's so popular. Thank you for the meal!

Today is a holiday, but I went to Umeda for shopping. After finishing shopping at Hankyu and Hanshin, I headed to Osaka Station Building No.3. I have been curious about the limited edition udon here, so I plan to try it before heading home. I arrived at the restaurant around 10:45. Despite opening at 11 o'clock, there were already about 20 people in line. I just made it into the first group. While waiting in line, I was handed the menu and asked to place my order in advance. Eventually, when the opening time arrived, I was the last person to enter in the first group. After waiting at the counter for about 15 minutes, the cold Keema udon was served. I dug in right away. The Cold Keema Udon (1,200 yen including tax) consists of cold udon with cold Keema curry on the right side, topped with boiled egg, tomato, and coriander. Additionally, lemon was served separately. It was nice that they also provided a disposable apron without me having to ask for it. First, I tried the cold broth with the Keema curry. Both were delicious. The udon had a good texture and was smooth. The cold curry mixed with the cold broth made it light and easy to eat. It had a moderate spiciness and was really tasty. I finished the leftover curry broth as well, and finished the meal in no time. This Cold Keema Udon was so delicious that I hope it becomes a regular menu item, especially during the summer. Thank you for the meal.
