Today, I went out for drinks with my colleagues at a park near Ohori Park! There was a popular restaurant I was curious about, but every time I passed by, it was always full. The entrance was tricky to find, but it was actually disguised as a vending machine! Inside, it was a normal izakaya with counter and table seating. We tried their specialty, which was skewers dipped in fondue. We ordered a variety of dishes including yakitori, cucumber salad, kimchi, fondue, fried daikon, and more. The fondue options were cheese and tomato, and they paired perfectly with the skewers. The menu also had a selection of noodles and rice dishes for a satisfying meal. Overall, it was a fun and delicious experience, and I look forward to trying their all-you-can-drink option next time!

I visited the hidden gem restaurant, Hakata Warasuke Otemon branch in Fukuoka City, Chuo Ward on August 23, 2021. This place is located near the Ohorikoen subway station, along a road that extends north from Arato Higashi on Showa Street. It's quite a mysterious place, and first-time visitors may not know where the entrance is. The vending machine with the word "push" is a unique sign. Upon closer inspection, you'll notice that the coin slot is blocked. Inside, there are counter seats and table seats in a calm adult-oriented space. I ordered the recommended hand-molded hamburger set for lunch, which comes with free extra rice. The hand-molded hamburger set costs 900 yen (tax included). I opted for a regular serving of rice. The side dishes included bean sprouts and broccoli. The sauce for the hamburger is served in a heart-shaped container, adding a stylish touch. The hamburger itself is thick and quite substantial. I should have definitely gone for the extra rice. The hamburger was tender and delicious. It was a thoroughly satisfying lunch at this super hidden gem. The restaurant is often closed on Tuesdays.

Recently, I visited this restaurant that was featured on several local TV programs as a "hidden gem" and I was quite intrigued. I must say, finding the entrance was extremely difficult, to the point where it would be challenging to locate without prior instructions. If you get lost, just focus on the vending machine! Make sure not to enter the adjacent "Umikuma-ya" restaurant. It truly is a hidden gem... or rather, it's hidden to an extreme extent that it makes sense why it was featured on local TV. Once inside and led to the second floor, it was fairly busy due to the lifting of the state of emergency. The staff seemed a bit overwhelmed, possibly because it was the first time in a while they had this many customers. The service was a bit slow, with delays in taking orders and serving the food. The recommended fondue yakitori (cheese and bagna cauda options chosen) was surprisingly delicious, but the pot's flame was not well adjusted, and overall, the food and drink service felt a bit slow and disjointed. I wonder if things will improve once they settle back into regular business after the reopening. Thank you for the meal.

The mentaiko cheese was enough with just one color. It was incredibly delicious. The bonjiri and yotsumi are the best match with cheese and taste great. Personally, I set the bar too high for the seseri and tsukune.

You would never know about this hidden gem unless someone told you about it.

The taste is delicious, but the impact of the cheese fondue is amazing.
