I invited three of my friends to Ishii JR private room, and they were all excited to go. We had a great time talking about food and the restaurant, and everyone enjoyed the delicious yakitori. The second chef did a great job grilling the skewers, and we kept getting more until we were full. The meal ended with four different options for dessert, and this time we chose the oyakodon. The best part is that the cost performance is great, as we only paid about 8000 yen per person. I love yakitori and occasionally try other restaurants, but Ishii JR is still my favorite place to go.

IshiIi Jr has changed its name, and it was my first visit. Previously, I was very satisfied with the course of yakitori and hot pot, but now they only offer a yakitori course. The basic course includes up to 5 skewers, and they keep serving more until you say stop. I have never been to IshiIi on the first floor, but as expected of IshiIi's restaurant, the yakitori is quite delicious. The meat is fresh and juicy, cooked to perfection with just the right amount of salt. Each skewer is delicious, and I wanted to eat more, but I gave up after 14 skewers. I also ordered chicken skin with ponzu sauce and rolled omelette, which were also delicious. The chicken and the egg in the oyakodon were perfect. I was satisfied with everything I ate, and maybe IshiIi Jr is enough for me.

The restaurant is located about a 6-7 minute walk northwest from Exit 1A of Kitahama Station on the Osaka Metro Sakaisuji Line. Upon entering the shop, you will be seated at the counter. The meal starts with a toast with draft beer, followed by various drinks such as Iwai Highball, Lemon Chu-hi, sweet potato shochu on the rocks, and Japanese sake. We had the Jr.'s Chef's Choice skewers, which you can order in sets of 5 until you're satisfied. The meal included appetizers like fried chicken breast, Korean seaweed, and pickled vegetables. Then came a variety of grilled chicken skewers, each cooked to perfection and offering a unique flavor and texture. We finished with a hearty dish of Oyakodon with extra rice. The meal was satisfying, and we enjoyed the flavors and experience of each skewer. I would love to visit again if I can secure a reservation. Thank you for the delicious meal.

While reminiscing about the past, I visited the restaurant shortly after it opened, without any waiting time for reservations. The grilling technique was similar to Ishi-yaki and the perfect balance of tenderness. The highlights were the chouchin and dakimi dishes. The chouchin had a rich egg flavor that I loved. Despite a long wait for the food to be served, the total bill was around 12,000 yen, which was a great deal.

During our recent trip to Osaka, we were lucky to have made a reservation at this famous yakitori restaurant online before deciding to travel. The four of us booked a private room for dinner, which was served omakase style. The chef decided what we would eat that night. If we didn't stop him, he would keep making us delicious yakitori skewers all night. The ratio of charcoal flavor in all the food was excellent, and the chicken cartilage and chicken aorta were grilled perfectly, making the final oyakodon very delicious! Write a perfect conclusion for the entire dinner!

A restaurant in Osaka where two successful individuals are treated to yakitori at the main branch of a popular restaurant, with the apprentice offering a special discounted price. The private rooms are cute and comfortable, and you can adjust the portion size with a la carte options. The taste is excellent, and the usability is great! However, the timing of the dishes coming out may be a bit off. I'm not sure how it differs from the main branch, but I felt like something was missing. Perhaps I am expecting too much.

Located on the second floor of Torisyo Ishii, a Michelin-acclaimed restaurant in the Nishinotoin area, the establishment is run by the owner's apprentice. They offer an omakase style menu where you can have up to 5 skewers selected for you, and then choose as many skewers as you like from the 6th one onwards. The menu includes a variety of skewers such as chicken breast tempura wrapped in seaweed, furi-sode (chicken wing tip), kawa (chicken skin), seseri (chicken neck), okura (okra), negima (chicken thigh with green onion), hatsu (chicken heart), tsukune (chicken meatball), tebasaki naka (chicken wing middle joint), yagen nankotsu (chicken cartilage), eggplant, kimo (chicken liver), tebasaki moto (chicken wing base), duck with green onion, and harami (chicken tenderloin). They also serve a delicious oyakodon (chicken and egg rice bowl). With good cost performance and the ability to adjust the portion size, this place comes highly recommended!

"Diary & Memo & a Little Amateur Review" Last time, we visited the famous French restaurant Le Nez in Nagahoribashi♪ This time, we went to Ishii Jr., a reservation-only restaurant in Nishitenma, Kita-ku♪ We were invited by MyRebi-sama, and we had a great time with MyRebi-sama, MyRebi-sama's friend, my wife, and myself♪ MyRebi-sama's friend is fluent in English and the president of a certain corporation, and my wife quickly got along with them♪ The location of the restaurant was close to my workplace, but finding the entrance to the second floor was a bit tricky. We had to open a hidden door to go upstairs, which was quite unique♪ The counter was already full, so we were seated in a private room. It was the beginning of a great feast♪ For drinks, I had a soft drink [Elderflower], my wife had cold sake, MyRebi-sama had hot tea, and MyRebi-sama's friend also had hot tea. The food was served randomly until we said stop♪ We also ordered additional dishes like TKG and oyakodon. In conclusion, it was truly a popular and delicious restaurant♪ We had a great time in the private room, enjoying tasty chicken dishes and engaging in pleasant conversations♪ The bill came out to around 10,000 yen per person. This place is really great with a casual and relaxed atmosphere, and the food is delicious. I love the quality of the meat, the way it's cooked, and the tare sauce. I would love to go back here again and again. The guy who cooks the meat is always working hard, and I think that's really impressive. He's not only a good talker but also a great cook! For more details, please see my previous posts. The tare sauce was especially delicious on this day. The meat quality was really good, with a rich oil flavor and a deep chicken taste. It was perfectly cooked and had a great texture. Osaka has been seeing many famous restaurants expanding to multiple locations recently, but often the quality of the meat and flavors tend to decline. It's disappointing when even well-known places disappoint. But this place has always been and still is the best.

This was my fourth visit to this restaurant. I went with someone who was going for the first time, and hearing their excitement while eating made me feel warm inside. The chef is really nice too. Ishii-san is delicious as well, but Junior-san is relatively easy to make reservations at and is highly recommended. The atmosphere is relaxed and nice. On this day, we ordered the recommended course and added "chochin" skewers. I stopped at about 10 skewers, while my companion went for 14-15 skewers. We usually don't order them, but this time we got the "oyakodon," "soborodon," and "karaage." The karaage was deep-fried three times! The soborodon had a unique, delicious flavor, maybe from the ginger. Sweet and savory, it had a sophisticated taste that was excellent. Of course, all the yakitori skewers were outstanding. Ishiimototen is difficult to make a reservation at, but I was able to get a reservation at JR. There are many delicious yakitori restaurants in Tokyo, but I feel there are fewer in Osaka. The chicken doesn't have a strong smell, and the seasoning and charcoal aroma really stimulate your appetite! Eating at a low-quality place can make the food taste bad due to a strong smell, but the yakitori at Chouchin didn't have a strong smell and was very delicious. Unlike Omino, there are fewer seats at the counter, which allows for a calm dining experience. The entrance is hard to find and there are few drink options, which are the only downsides.

Tonight, I went for a yakitori stroll at Torisho Ishii on Naniwa Bridge in Osaka. It's located on the second floor, with an entrance that feels like you're staying over. The owner, Mr. Tanabe, has been making yakitori for 3 years, with all his experience gained since joining the company. He used to work in Japanese cuisine. The ordering process is predetermined, and you can stop based on how full you feel. Around 20 skewers are a good estimate per round. They use Amakusa Daio and Kumano local chicken. The chicken here is similar to the first floor's Torisho Ishii, but the charcoal used is different - they use Tosa Binchotan here, while the main branch uses Kishu Binchotan. Around the 20th skewer, you might start feeling full, but you'll definitely want to try the rice dish. I ordered the minced chicken bowl. First, I started with a draft beer. The skewers included: 1. Chicken nanban pickles 2. Pickled vegetables 3. Shoulder meat 4. Skin 5. Cucumber 6. Heart 7. Shishito pepper 8. Belly meat 9. Wing tip 10. Meatball 11. Wing midsection 12. Neck 13. Chicken thigh base with green onion 14. Green onion and tuna 15. Chicken white meat with spicy seven spice 16. Cabbage sprouts 17. Liver 18. Quail egg Additional orders: Chicken skin with ponzu sauce and minced chicken bowl. Among these, the neck, wing midsection, meatball, and liver were excellent. Every time I come here, the food seems to get more delicious. Among the yakitori restaurants where you can make a reservation, this place has definitely become one of the top ones. Even when you eat to your heart's content, the cost performance is also quite good. On this day, what I found delicious again were the "saezuri" (bird whistle), "tsukune" (chicken meatballs), "me cabbage" (sprout cabbage), and "harami" (chicken skirt steak). The Elderflower drink was also amazing. I found it on Rakuten and decided to buy it because it's so good. It has a new taste for a carbonated beverage, it's the best. The way they trap the meat juices in the yakitori and the perfect grilling on the outside are seriously divine. The timing and variety of the dishes that come out keep you from getting bored, so surprisingly, you can easily eat more than 10 skewers. If you don't stop yourself, you could just keep going forever, haha. The "Keema Curry" was my first time trying it, and it had a simple taste that really highlighted the ingredients, but it was also extremely spicy. The "Chicken Wonton" was quite average, nothing special, with a lot of sesame seeds on top. I've already made a reservation for my next visit and now I can go home feeling satisfied. This is definitely a yakitori restaurant that I want to visit at least once every 1-2 months. Thank you for the delicious yakitori.

This was my first time trying Ishii Jr. I had heard from locals that it's usually difficult to get a reservation, but I was able to book a table on a day when they had availability. There was a tatami seating area which was beautiful with a traditional Japanese house style. The lanterns were small, but the yakitori skewers were quite large and satisfying.

Ishii in Osaka is a famous and delicious yakitori restaurant that any yakitori lover would know. I had a great and delicious time when I visited Ishii before! Hinamochi in Tokyo was also quite good, so I wondered how this place would be. I made a reservation and visited. Upon arrival, I was confused about where to enter. There was a hidden door next to the entrance of Ishii, which led to the second floor. We had a private room that day. We started with a drink, Heartland beer. The meal included various dishes like chicken nanban pickles and assorted pickles. We left the grilling to the chef. The dishes included grilled items like chicken tenderloin with wasabi, grilled chicken neck, grilled gizzards, grilled chicken skin, and more. The overall impression was that the salt was a bit strong, making it a little spicy. The grilling was average, with some parts being slightly burnt. Perhaps I had high expectations due to the excellent impression of Ishii before. Thank you for the meal.

I was invited by a friendly reviewer to visit this restaurant. I had visited the old "Ishii" in Fukushima before, but it had turned into a "reservation-only yakitori restaurant" before I could revisit. This time, I visited this place instead. Location: Located in Nishitenma, a somewhat isolated area. It's not close to Kita-Shinchi either, so it can be a bit tricky to access. I leisurely walked there from "Tenjinbashi Roku-chome," where I live, on a holiday. Interior: The building was all black with small lanterns outside, giving it a sophisticated and hidden vibe. I ordered the "Jr.'s Chef's Choice Skewers 5 skewers ~ Stop System (with appetizers and soup) 2500 yen ~". Menu: - Appetizers (marinated chicken breast / pickles) - Skewers: chicken tenderloin, chicken neck, chicken tail, cabbage sprout, chicken skin - Additional skewers: chicken thigh, chicken liver, chicken tail, green onion, chicken cartilage, chicken wing, chicken heart - Oyakodon (shared with 2 people) - Chicken Keema Curry (shared with 2 people) I also had a few highballs, totaling around 7500 yen. The skewers were initially served with salt, then switched to a sauce-based style. The sauce flavors varied subtly with each skewer, complemented by the flavorful condiments like sansho pepper and shichimi, enhancing the overall experience. The slight charred taste added depth to each bite, making it truly exquisite. The "saezuri" skewer stood out with its crunchy texture and bitter notes. The meal ended with a hearty oyakodon and a flavorful chicken keema curry, showcasing the restaurant's expertise in grilling and seasoning. The portion sizes were generous, making it a bit challenging to eat directly from the skewers. A "yakitori fork" might be helpful. This restaurant is a sister shop located on the second floor of "Torisho Ishii," where Ishii's apprentice is in charge of the grilling. They have been selected as a Bib Gourmand in the Michelin Guide Osaka. The restaurant operates on a reservation-only basis, with reservations made through OMAKASE or by phone. It is a 7-minute walk from Kitahama Station on the Keihan Electric Railway, and we arrived at 5:00 pm for our reservation. The staff came out at 5:00 pm and guided us inside. The first floor is "Ishii," and up the stairs on the side is "Ishii Jr." The seating consists of 10 seats (6 at the counter, 4-5 in private rooms). We started with a draft beer to quench our thirst. The appetizers were chicken nanban-zuke and assorted pickles. We also ordered the special menu item "tebasaki chanja" to enjoy while waiting for the yakitori to be ready. The yakitori is an omakase style with a stop system for 5 skewers or more (starting from 2,500 yen). The basic ingredients are said to be almost the same as those at "Ishii" on the first floor. The yakitori we had that day included items like chicken wings, chicken tenderloin, gizzard, cabbage, skin, chicken stomach, tail meat, and more. We ended with a refreshing cabbage salad and chicken soup. In total, we had 22 skewers, and apparently, we could have tried 2-3 more to taste all the varieties. It was a delightful meal!

I tried to make a reservation at OMAKASE, with a booking fee of 390 yen, but couldn't get through over the phone. Finally managed to secure a reservation, so let's go for some yakitori! It's a little less than a 20-minute walk from Umeda station. The first floor is Ishii, and the second floor is Ishii Jr. There is a door next to the store, which leads to stairs going up to the second floor. Take off your shoes and go up. There are only 8 seats at the counter. There seems to be a private room at the back. For two people, we were seated at the counter. Started with a drink, a draft beer, Kirin's Heartland. Ordered a draft beer. The omakase starts from 2,500 yen for 5 skewers. The price goes up until you stop ordering. - Chicken breast marinated in Nanban sauce: Moist and flavorful. - Grilled chicken tail: Perfectly cooked and juicy. - Chicken gizzard: Crispy and delicious. - Baby cabbage: Crispy and juicy. - Chicken neck: Some parts were a bit disappointing. - Chicken liver: Rare and delicious. - Green onion with chicken thigh: Tasty. - Chicken cartilage: Juicy and flavorful. Stopped here! Also ordered some additional items: - Chicken tail: Tender and delicious. - Chicken breast with wasabi: Refreshing. I visited for the first time in a while within the omakase course! The dishes were cooked perfectly and I couldn't stop eating (*´ч`*) I got so caught up in chatting with my friend that I missed the right timing to stop and ended up not being able to add more dishes that I wanted to try, which was disappointing (T^T)
