Ribot
This day was a New Year's party. Not the type where you take attendance, make reservations, and clearly split the bill with a set all-you-can-drink course, but more like "Let's drink as much as we can this weekend." So, for the first place, we went to "Kaiju Tachi no Iru Tokoro" (details to be written later), and for the second place, we decided to drink until the last train at the station. However, as expected for the New Year, all the notable places were full, and we ended up here. It was also almost full, but we managed to get in just in time. For the second place, we opted for a la carte dishes with "all-you-can-drink per item" which was cost-effective. The restaurant made a customer-friendly suggestion, which was appreciated. We started with edamame, then ordered some yakitori and my personal favorite, bonito tataki. The edamame portion was huge! The quality was good, although I suspected it was frozen due to the price. The yakitori was quite large, ordered in sets of two, and even though we didn't order one per person, we had enough to share. The bonito tataki was mediocre as expected, but I thought it was better than the one at the nearby "Home Runken" (even though this place was more expensive). Ordering was done through a touch panel, which was high-performance and smooth. The only downside was the large menu, which made it hard to find items. It would have been helpful to have a paper menu for reference (which actually existed, my bad), and clearer categorization on the tablet. However, these were minor points. Overall, I was satisfied. It was probably a chain restaurant, but it was pretty good. I think my satisfaction would have been lower if we had opted for the all-you-can-drink course, but ordering a la carte was not bad. I wondered what the restaurant's rating was on Tabelog, and when I checked the next day, it turned out to be part of the "Wasshoi Million 4-Point Festival" (ironic). If you're not familiar, there are reviews with that title in other reviews, so you can refer to those. When I read that review, I honestly chuckled, but when I visited without prejudice, it was surprisingly good. The 4-Point Festival doesn't really affect the scores like it did in the early days of Tabelog, so there's no need to get worked up about it.
