I visited "Koirori" in Nihonbashi for the fourth time. Service set meal for 750 yen, Oyakodon for 428 yen, bottled beer for 539 yen, and a large sake for 649 yen. As usual, the cost performance is good. This time, I chose the service set meal. The meat is not of high quality, but at this price, it's understandable. However, the price of alcohol is a bit high. The beer is just average.

After walking around in the scorching heat, one of my friends was sweating profusely and almost passed out. We decided to go into a yakiniku restaurant, and thankfully he recovered. Eating meat really is the best remedy. [Access] Excellent - close to Nankai Namba Station and Kintetsu Nipponbashi Station. [Good Points] You can get a table even on weekend nights.

I went to "Koirori" in Nihonbashi for the third time. I had the crispy pork belly for 374 yen, grilled vegetables for 374 yen, a good deal on harami (skirt steak) for 495 yen, egg soup for 352 yen, a large sake for 649 yen, and a lime chu-hi for 484 yen. The cost performance is still good as always. This time, I didn't go for the set course, but chose individual items. The egg soup had a gentle flavor which was nice. However, the price of the sake was a bit high. It's more expensive than beer, which is just average.

It's easy to enjoy yakiniku alone. Most of the menu items here are perfect for one person, which is great when you want to try a little bit of everything. Ordering with a tablet is also convenient and hassle-free. The taste is good enough for the price. I ordered the yakiniku set with salted tongue, harami, and hormone mix, and I was so full I thought my stomach would burst.

Returned to "Koiro" in Nihonbashi for the second time. The A course with draft beer for 1300 yen, Wiener sausage for 440 yen, egg soup for 352 yen, and alcohol for 649 yen. The cost performance is still impressive, especially the A course. However, the price of alcohol is a bit high. The beer is average.

I went to "Koiroli" in Nihonbashi. The A course with draft beer for 1300 yen was great value. The toppings were 484 yen, the crunchy dish was 374 yen, grilled vegetables were 374 yen, egg soup was 352 yen, and bottled beer was 495 yen. The cost performance was good, especially for the A course. The egg soup had a nice flavor. I want to go again.

On Sunday around 7:00 PM, we went without a reservation and were able to get in just in time for two people. We ordered the premium tongue, premium assortment (which included about 6 different types of hormone and meat, 2 pieces each), premium tripe, premium loin, rice, kimchi, lettuce wraps, and salad. All the meats were of high quality and the hormone was tender. The meat had no unpleasant fat and was easy on the stomach, which was great. We had 2 drinks each and the total came to a little over 6000 yen for the two of us. It was affordable, delicious, and overall a great experience. Thank you for the meal.

Once again, I went to Koilori for yakiniku. This is my favorite place to eat meat. The side menu isn't very extensive, but it's perfect for quickly enjoying delicious meat. I couldn't resist getting seconds of the grilled squid. I forgot to take a photo of the salted tongue. Not the best place for a date though.

I went to Naniwa in Osaka, Japan on July 24, 2022, to find repair parts for my beloved "Monkey" motorcycle. It had been a long time since I visited Nipponbashi, also known as "Japan Bridge," where you can find electronic parts. After finishing my errands, I decided to have lunch at a yakiniku restaurant called Koirori within walking distance. I parked at a nearby coin parking lot and quickly headed to the restaurant. I was seated at a table in the back of the restaurant, where I placed my order using the self-service touch panel. I ordered the Special Skirt Steak Set Meal for 840 yen and the Beef Tongue Set Meal for 1,380 yen. The food was served promptly, and the portions were generous. The meat was thickly sliced with a good texture, and I enjoyed grilling it to my preferred doneness (medium-rare). The quality of the Aussie Beef was evident, and despite cost-cutting measures, the restaurant provided a high-quality yakiniku experience at a reasonable price. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.

I entered the restaurant around 7:30 PM. I had the B course for 1500 yen, upper harami for 968 yen, a medium bottle of beer for 440 yen, medium rice for 220 yen, and egg soup for 330 yen. The total came to 3458 yen, but they gave me a discount and it was 3450 yen. I enjoyed solo yakiniku at the counter seat. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

You can only use cash or credit cards here. They don't accept things like electronic money or cashless payments (as of January 2020). This restaurant should consider going cashless in the future to take advantage of being open 24 hours.

Today, I had lunch in Nihonbashi. There are so many yakiniku restaurants in Nihonbashi. I chose this restaurant, which is popular on Tabelog, and went with two other guys. We all ordered the "Special Beef Harami Set" (I actually forgot the name of the set). The set had a large portion, tender meat, and delicious taste. The cost performance was so good that we were worried if they were making a profit. Even the two guys who are good at eating were surprised by how "cheap" it was, beyond just being amazed. We ate while imagining that the struggling comedians from Yoshimoto Kogyo might be using this place to fill their stomachs. The meat was not cheap quality, it was juicy, and we couldn't understand why we could eat rice, vegetables, daikon kimchi, and soup all for 850 yen. It's such a hidden gem of a restaurant that I want to keep using it in the future.

First visit to a restaurant located along Namba Nankai Street. Nearby, there was a popular restaurant called "Horumon Sakagami Ura Namba Store." Upon entering at 18:10, there were 3 groups of 5 people already inside. The restaurant had a slightly aged medium-sized setting with a straight counter with 8 seats and 4 tables with 4 seats each. There were 2 male staff members. Orders were placed using a touch panel on the table, which was a unique approach for a yakiniku restaurant. Perhaps it was a way to reduce labor costs due to a shortage of staff. We ordered the following items: - Tax not included: 250 yen - Spicy kimchi: 250 yen - Foil garlic: 290 yen - Heart: 290 yen - Economical teppan: 390 yen - Premium teppan: 380 yen - Lime shochu highball: 400 yen - Highball: 470 yen Total bill: 2470 yen The food experience was as follows: - Heart: Some slices had fatty parts and the thickness of the cuts varied. The quality of the meat was inconsistent. Rating: 3.0 - Foil garlic: The fatty parts were cleaned well, but the texture was a bit rubbery. The affordable price might explain the smaller portion size. Rating: 3.3 - Economical teppan: The fatty parts were well-balanced. The beef was said to be Wagyu, unlike the Heart which was likely an imported product. While it may be tough for denture wearers, it was considered good quality otherwise. Rating: 3.8 Overall meat rating: 3.4 Spicy kimchi was too salty, so a lower rating was given. Food rating: 3.5 Value for money: 3.3 Next time, I will try the Economical teppan only. We left at 19:00, and there were still 4 groups of 10 people inside. Since the nearby popular restaurants were full, this place could be a hidden gem if you order correctly.

***January 2020 (1st visit)*** The New Year has ended, but right after that, there was a three-day weekend. After finishing a 10km jog on my day off, I took a relaxing bath at a hot spring and then went to Osaka Dotonbori Winds to watch horse racing. Before that, I decided to explore some "yakiniku lunch" places that I've been into recently, and I remembered the meal I had at the "Nankai-dori branch" before, so this time I went to the "Yakiniku Koirori Sennichimae branch" for a yakiniku lunch. Upon entering the restaurant, I noticed that it was a bit smaller compared to the "Nankai-dori branch," but it was still almost full, showing that it is quite popular. I sat at the counter seat for 1-2 people and ordered the "Yakiniku Bara Teishoku" (850 yen including tax) using the unfamiliar touch panel button system. About 5 minutes later, all the items arrived. Just like last time, I prepared by adding plenty of yakiniku sauce, grated garlic, and yangnyeomjang. After about 5 minutes, the yakiniku was cooked perfectly. 1. "Yakiniku Bara Teishoku" [Appearance] ★★★☆☆ The size of each piece of meat is a bit small! There are nine pieces, and while the meat looks a bit sinewy with little fat, once cooked, the meat juices come to the surface, making it look delicious. [Taste] ★★★★☆ I dipped the nicely grilled bara meat in the sauce and took a bite. "Mmm, delicious..." The meat, which I think is American, has a unique chewy texture and umami flavor typical of sinewy lean meat. I personally love "tsurami" in yakiniku, so I enjoyed this lean meat that is similar to the part I like, even though it may not be to everyone's taste who prefers more fatty bara meat. Without delay, I tried the "Yakiniku Bara On The Rice" placed on a bed of rice. "Mmm, I see why I've been hooked on this flavor recently! Delicious..." The sweet soy sauce-based yakiniku sauce with the aromatic garlic and the deep sweet and spicy yangnyeomjang accentuated the taste, enhancing the deliciousness of the rice. It's a flavor that lifts your spirits! The lightly grilled cabbage is a refreshing side dish, and the soup, with its light saltiness from beef bone broth and the sesame oil adding a nice touch, I quickly finished it. After savoring the yakiniku bara and turning the leftover rice into a tea-flavored dish by pouring it into the soup, I finished my meal. [Overall] I had a yakiniku lunch at the "Yakiniku Koirori Sennichimae branch" this time, and it was delicious, especially considering the high cost performance of under 1,000 yen. Taste-wise, I preferred the "Mix Teishoku" I had last time, with its kalbi, bara, and harami, and the better quality of the meat. Next time, I'm thinking of trying the "Bone-In Kalbi Teishoku." Yakiniku on rice with grated garlic is the best! I feel energized now... Thank you for the meal. *Rating: "Yakiniku Bara Teishoku" 3.5 points*

Today, I had some errands to run so I left work a little early and came to a solo BBQ restaurant located near the back streets of Namba, known as Ajien. It is open 24 hours a day and serves lunch until 5:00 PM. I arrived for lunch, but you can still come in after 3:00 PM for BBQ. When I entered the restaurant, there were two table seats available, but one was already taken. The counter seats were mostly empty. The menu is ordered through a tablet. I ordered the Mixed Set Meal (3 pieces each of pork loin, skirt steak, and short rib), along with rice, grilled vegetables, pickled cabbage, kimchi, and soup for 840 yen including tax. Feeling a bit unsatisfied, I also ordered the Tetchan (290 yen before tax) and Kappa (290 yen before tax), which is the meat between the belly skin and short rib, with a texture similar to chewy. None of the meats were exceptional, but they were all decently tasty. However, the portions were a bit small. I finished my meal in no time and the total bill came to 1470 yen. For BBQ, 1470 yen is cheap, but I would have been more satisfied with a bit more food. The staff were friendly and I enjoyed my meal comfortably. The fact that it's open 24 hours is convenient. Since it's a chain restaurant, I am curious to visit other branches for comparison. Thank you for the meal.

On this day, I had some business to attend to at Edion Namba Honten, and on the way there, I happened to come across "Iroriya" and decided to make a stop even though it wasn't planned. I always order the same menu here, the "Special Harumi Set". I was seated at the counter, but the seating arrangement was spacious. The Special Harumi Set costs 880 yen, and for the amount of meat you get, it's a good deal. The beef harumi, although I'm not sure where it's from, has a decent amount of flavor and a good texture, making it quite tasty. There were more thinly sliced pieces of meat compared to what I had at a different affiliated store before, which was slightly disappointing, but overall, it's a good value for the price. Thank you for the meal.

Classmates had training in Namba. Even though it ends at 3 pm... I headed to Namba in the morning (^_^; Pulled another classmate along and went straight to the restaurant we heard about where you can eat yakiniku in the morning. It's called Irori and it's open 24 hours a day. We entered and sat at the counter. Oh my... even though there was a staff member in front of us, we had to order everything through a tablet. I'm not good with technology, you know... But we managed to order beer and meat! It's ready! The set of beer and meat costs 1500 yen including tax, plus single orders of beer and meat like belly, harami, and hormone (maybe teppanyaki). Vegetables are also included. We grilled them on a smokeless roaster. It's not heavy, so you can enjoy it even in the morning. It's a good place for a quick drink for two people. I'll visit again. Thank you for the meal.

Osaka is Minami, the back side of Namba. The symbol of the back side of Namba? Across from the Mezon Building, there is this restaurant. I visited the restaurant after a long time, and although the exterior, interior, and staff remained the same, there were modern tablets for ordering at each table. Furthermore, there were four cameras hanging from the ceiling, surprising me. I ordered a draft beer and a special prime harami set from the tablet. The cold draft beer served in a chilled mug was delicious. Before the meat arrived, I ordered another beer and enjoyed the atmosphere. However, when the special prime harami arrived, I noticed that the portion size had decreased significantly. Despite this, considering the price, it was quite affordable. The elderly fatherly staff member was as friendly as ever, making the place very comfortable. The white rice was still delicious. I will definitely visit again.

I had breakfast on the day I stayed in Namba. The restaurant is located a little east of the street where Namba Oriental Hotel is located in Sennichimae. The exterior of the restaurant looks old, but the interior is cleaner than I expected. I ordered boneless kalbi, good value harami, wagyu tetchan, and rice. Despite the fact that the prices at this restaurant are quite cheap, the quality of the meat is good, the thickness of the meat is firm, and I was able to enjoy a delicious and satisfying meal. I think this restaurant can be used for various purposes.

When I become an unrefined middle-aged man without any sense of sophistication, I feel most comfortable in a place like this rather than in a stylish or fancy restaurant. Since I have airplane food tomorrow and food at home, I opted for a 4000 yen course with all-you-can-drink instead of all-you-can-eat. I regret not choosing the all-you-can-eat option after finishing my light meal of meat. I also added a hormone platter for 490 yen.
