I visited during lunchtime. I wanted to go to the main store, but it was crowded, so I went to the Umeda store next door. It was my first visit. I was seated at the counter. When I arrived, there were not many people at the counter, but it soon became quite crowded. Besides the lunch menu, it seemed like you could also order individual items. However, ordering items other than the lunch menu required scanning a QR code with a smartphone. I chose the lunch menu, thinking that I would take my time to add more items if I wanted to using the QR code. The draft beer arrived! And the sushi too! Sushi = unexpected. The pieces were big, both the fish and the rice. More like onigiri? You dip it in soy sauce and eat it. This might be a new style for some. The soy sauce pot was so unique that I forgot to take a picture. As for the sushi, it felt more like sashimi at an izakaya. Probably cut like sashimi and placed on rice. So, the shape of the sushi was wide. This is just my personal opinion!! This is not sushi. I think it's more like a seafood bowl. And the rice. Since I was at the counter, I could see it being molded in front of me. The chef used his right hand to mold the rice, then used the same hand to place the topping, completing the sushi. The topping was not re-molded after being placed on the rice. The ultimate one-handed molding. I remember a manga about sushi like that. In the end, I didn't add anything else and went to pay. With one beer included, it was 2090 yen! Thank you for the meal!

A friend from Tokyo came to Osaka and we ended up at this sushi restaurant. The head chef and staff were wonderful, and most importantly, the sushi was fresh and delicious! We had a meal for two for around 6800 yen, and I think with 10000 yen, even more people could eat until they're full! Affordable, delicious, high-quality ingredients - it was a fantastic restaurant! We will definitely visit again!

I made a reservation for my master's birthday. It's a sushi restaurant that we usually go to, so we splurged a bit! We added a few extras to the 3000 yen course. The size and taste of the sushi were really satisfying. The red miso soup was also a perfect match for the sushi. The eel was, of course, melt-in-your-mouth delicious. We enjoyed it while saying, "It's really different, isn't it?" The restaurant was lively and welcoming, making it easy for us to enjoy. The staff even wished my master a happy birthday, making our time there very enjoyable and delicious. We're already talking about wanting to go back. Thank you very much.

I jumped into a casual atmosphere branch of Umeda Shotengai Sushiya Honten Bekkan. The sushi was quite delicious, especially the hamachi had a large size, good texture, and great taste. I also ordered a special dish called "engawa" which was thick and flavorful. I will definitely visit again casually.

I came to Osaka and was craving fish after eating a lot of heavy meals. I searched for lunch options and found Uogokoro. I ordered the "Bucchikiri Teishoku - Kiwami" which had a generous portion of fish and rice. It was only 1,500 yen which was a great deal. The food was delicious.

The lunch set is a good deal. You can choose from large portions or a variety of items. The miso soup had no bones in the fish, making it easy to eat. The female staff member was very attentive and good at customer service. I occasionally come for lunch, but I wonder if the miso soup was warm at the main store across the street. The Umeda store may be more suited for lunch.

"Umeda's Higashi-dori Shotengai, 'Uogokoro.' This shop is located diagonally in front of another shop, but if you walk from Umeda, it will be on the right side (south side). Arrived at 11:30, several customers already there, seated at the counter with 2 seats available. The chairs are fixed but you can place your belongings on the seat next to you. There are also table seats available, and it seems like reservations are possible. ★Revived! Butchiri set meal (with red miso soup) for 1000 yen including tax, PayPay accepted. QR code is displayed, but for lunch, ordering verbally is also okay. The full stomach set meal comes with 10 pieces, but the butchiri set has 8 pieces with the toppings about 1.5 times the usual amount, I guess? Inside the counter, there are 4 sushi chefs working, very fast! The sushi and red miso soup arrived in no time. The toppings are thick and big (^-^) The red shrimp is firm and delicious! Yellowtail and salmon are also fatty and tasty. The squid is also delicious. Personally, I prefer eel over conger eel. They also mentioned that they can serve shari-komi sushi to other customers. They will confirm if you are okay with wasabi. It's nice that all lunch sets come with red miso soup. There was also fish head included. We used it with our family. As you can see in the photos, the sushi pieces are huge and each one comes with a hidden knife, making it easy to dip in soy sauce. They were all very delicious. The amount of sake poured varies depending on the staff, but they always pour at least one cup!

While walking along the Higashi Street shopping district, I came across a sushi restaurant that caught my eye. Without any prior information, I was a bit hesitant, but judging by the appearance, the prices shouldn't be too shocking. I noticed a recommended menu on a blackboard outside and suddenly felt like eating ark shell. So, I decided to go in. I was handed a QR code, but the staff kindly offered to input my order on a tablet device. I ordered ark shell sushi, vinegar oysters, tuna, and mackerel sushi. The oysters arrived first, and they were from Hiroshima, with a delicious taste and a mild ponzu sauce. Next, the sushi arrived, and they were huge. It was a bit challenging to eat such large pieces in one bite. The tuna was well-aged and would have been better as sashimi. The mackerel was also large, and while the rice was good, the size of the mackerel seemed unnecessary. Finally, the ark shell arrived, and it was definitely the highlight of the meal. The texture and flavor were perfect, although the aroma was slightly weak, perhaps due to the season. Overall, the quality of the ingredients was good, but I personally prefer smaller pieces for easier consumption.

I have visited the main store and the south store of Uogashi Honten many times, but since they were not reviewed on Tabelog, I decided to try the Umeda store in front of the main store for the first time (^o^)/ Uogashi brings back memories of my youth. Yes, that was 34 years ago... The faraway Dojima area of the main store was a holy place for vintage clothing stores at the time. Brands like jojo, comes a time, FIESTA, container, etc. were selling Levi's 501 BIG E in good condition for 50,000 yen. XX was 100,000 yen, what a wonderful time before the vintage boom (≧∇≦). I clenched all of my part-time job earnings of 70,000 yen and just before heading to the vintage clothing store, I saw a sushi restaurant sign overflowing with salmon roe visuals Σ(゚д゚lll) What's this!! I was captivated by the impact at the time. I impulsively jumped in and was impressed by the sea urchin and salmon roe I ate there. It had been a long time, so I tried the revived "Butch Cut Set Meal Extreme"! The chef will make the sushi after you order. Recently, there are more sushi made by cooks rather than chefs, but here you can feel at ease. The large volume of sushi gets you excited, but in today's world where there are many visually appealing sushi, the "butch cut" doesn't seem as outstanding as before... From the top right: ☆Hamachi... A firm texture, not the freshest, but the fatty taste is outstanding. ☆Chutoro... This is delicious! A luxurious volume for lunch. ☆Tai... The fresh and elastic texture is wonderful! The more you chew, the more the umami spreads. ☆Amaebi... Crunchy and sweet. ☆Ikura... I was expecting overflowing salmon roe, but it's a normal volume! The small, rich type of salmon roe is sweet and delicious. ☆Tsubugai... The crunchy texture is delightful. ☆Tamago... A classic taste of popular sushi with a good volume of toppings. ☆Maguro... Generous volume. ☆Anago... A fantastic volume that can't fit in one bite even when rolled up! The melting texture on the tongue is very satisfying. I am satisfied with the sushi lunch with good quality, voluminous toppings, and chef-made sushi after a long time.

I went to Uogokoro, known for their Bucchigiri Sushi. Reservations are for a 2-hour time slot. I was surprised to see that they now have touch panel ordering system. I ordered a sashimi platter and then a sushi platter. The sashimi was thickly sliced and satisfying. I forgot to take a picture of the sushi, but each piece was generously sized. The cost performance is still great. I don't think they offer the uni wooden box platter that I used to order in the past.

The other day, during dinner at home, my family member excitedly showed me their phone and said, "The sushi at this place has big pieces of fish." I realized that it was the same place I had been to before. I didn't mention it and the topic ended there. About a week later, I had some errands in Umeda, so I decided to visit the restaurant. The shopping street was crowded with people, including many non-Japanese. It felt like things were gradually returning to normal before COVID-19, similar to Taiwan. I ordered the most popular lunch set, the "Revival! Best Value Set" for 1,000 yen. It included 8 pieces of sushi - white fish (probably sea bream), red fish, yellowtail, salmon, squid, sweet shrimp, tamago, anago, and miso soup. The pieces of fish were indeed large, a noticeable feature. However, the content was different from the main restaurant I had been to before, where they had eel and medium fatty tuna. They may have changed the ingredients to reduce costs. Overall, it was neither impressive nor disappointing. I paid quickly with PayPay. Thank you for the meal.

Around 8:00 PM, we visited the "Original Butchigiri Sushi Uogokoro Main Store" in the Hankyu Higashi-dori Shopping Street with 5 people. This restaurant is known for its reasonable prices and large sushi toppings. The name "Butchigiri" comes from the word "butsugiri," which expresses the rough way fishermen handle fish on the deck of a ship. They use their unique four techniques to create sushi with these large toppings: Technique 1 - "Tare nigiri" where the topping hangs down like a drooping sleeve, Technique 2 - "Kobore nigiri" where the topping overflows like scattered cherry blossoms, Technique 3 - "Kasane nigiri" where the toppings are stacked like a pagoda, and Technique 4 - "Tomo nigiri" where the topping is so long that it wraps around more than once. The dishes we tried included raw oysters, plum and cucumber rolls, bonito rolls, natto rolls, cucumber rolls, overflowing ikura gunkan, tuna liver sashimi, eel, sashimi platter, tamagoyaki, ume suisho, simmered eggplant, and red miso soup with fish. The standout dish was the "Tuna Liver Sashimi," which was surprisingly delicious with a strong flavor of raw liver. Overall, the restaurant offers not only large toppings but also delicious side dishes, making it a satisfying dining experience with good value for money. There are several Uogashi-san restaurants in Osaka. I wanted to eat sushi in Umeda, so I found a sushi restaurant while walking on Higashi Street. I went to the Umeda branch, and right across from it was the main branch! The sushi pieces are 'three times normal size'! And the sushi toppings are incredibly fresh. The menu was not available, so I looked up the prices on the web and will list them here: - Salmon nigiri (one piece) ¥350 - Yellowtail nigiri (one piece) ¥390 - Sea bream nigiri (one piece) ¥420 - Bluefin tuna nigiri (one piece) ¥440 - Flounder nigiri (one piece) ¥420 - Squid nigiri (one piece) ¥350 - Sweet shrimp nigiri (one piece) ¥370 - Conger eel nigiri (one piece) ¥390 - Red miso soup ¥380 Everything is really delicious, big, and thick... so happy! It's amazing to be able to eat such fresh sushi in the izakaya street of Umeda!

Each piece of sushi is big and delicious. It's great that you can have sushi for a reasonable price during lunchtime. All lunches come with red miso soup, which is a nice touch. The fish head soup was included and it was delicious. The restaurant is located on Higashi Street shopping district, and there is another branch diagonally across, so even if it's crowded, you can try the other location. Orders are placed using a touch panel.

To my favorite sushi restaurant, Uogokoro-san. I have been coming here for many years. On this day, I visited with my family for a quick meal. It is often crowded during lunchtime, so it's better to make a reservation if possible. The lunchtime set menu is reasonably priced, which is great! Of course, there are regular menu items available, so you can also add extras. The lunch set with ikura and large conger eel, I believe, comes with red miso soup and costs around 1500 yen. The staff and chefs are cheerful, making this place a cheerful spot to visit. This is the place I go to when I want to enjoy delicious sushi at a reasonable price.

I love restaurants with a wide variety of sushi toppings, but when I went in the other day, they had almost no toppings available, only expensive or less common ones (they didn't even have eggs). The staff were still trying to bring in customers, which was disappointing. I had to order something, so I ended up getting something I don't usually eat. Be careful when going to the restaurant near closing time.

I visited Uogokoro in Osaka Umeda for the first time! It was my second stop of the night and I was wondering if they would serve such large sushi after drinking so much, but it was so delicious that I couldn't stop eating. It's a popular place, so reservations are a must. The sushi pieces were incredibly thick and the cost performance was great!! Thank you for the delicious meal!
