Visited "Chinese Cuisine Momokalin" on the basement 1st floor of Hotel Okura Fukuoka in Hakata Riverain for the first time. The restaurant serves authentic Chinese cuisine without altering the original Chinese cooking methods, catering to the Japanese palate. The dishes were elegant and visually appealing, made with high-quality ingredients. The "Seasonal Assortment" (including tax and service charge, ¥12,100) featured a variety of dishes, some of which were not explained at the time of serving, but I later supplemented the information from the website. - Assorted Appetizers: A combination of shrimp, char siu, grilled fish, and more. - Braised Whole Shark Fin with Green Vegetables: A luxurious dish with a whole piece of shark fin in a thick, flavorful soup. Despite the unexpected okra as the green vegetable, it was delicious. - Peking Duck: Thin pancakes wrapped around duck skin, miso, shredded cucumber, and scallions. The shrimp crackers were also delicious. - Stir-Fried Japanese Black Beef Sirloin with Oyster Sauce: A dish of Japanese black beef sirloin and summer vegetables stir-fried in oyster sauce. - Jumbo Shrimp in Chili Sauce: Jumbo shrimp and white wood ear mushrooms in a white dome-shaped fried shell with chili sauce. - Scallop and Pickled Mustard Green Soup Over Fried Rice: A unique dish of fried rice topped with scallops and pickled mustard greens, served with soup. - Mango Pudding and Pineapple Anko-filled Shiratama Dumplings: Both desserts were tasty, but there was no explanation provided at the time of serving, leading to some surprises. Overall, the dishes were delicious, but it was disappointing that some dishes were not explained when served. Thank you for the feast.

When I come to eat Chinese food, I always order shark fin soup to feel the originality of the restaurant. It's simple with only shark fin, which highlights its deliciousness. The spring rolls are cut for easy eating, showing the hotel's attention to detail. The shredded pork with green peppers and mapo tofu are both meaty and filling. The sweet and sour pork is rich in meat flavor and has a generous amount of pickled radish, reducing the heaviness. Instead of yakisoba, I ordered a Chinese rice bowl this time. Despite being full, I enjoyed almond tofu and sesame dumplings for dessert. Thank you for the feast. This time, I didn't make a reservation and ended up in a dark corner, so next time I will make sure to reserve a better seat. Looking back at the photos, I realize I almost always order the same dishes, haha.

The atmosphere is quiet and very pleasant. The food is delicious. I ordered a la carte. There are also course options available. The courses change with the seasons, so it might be a good idea to try them. However, personally, I found the portion size of the courses to be a bit small. For those who eat a lot, I recommend ordering a la carte or adding a la carte to the course menu. The variety of menu options is great. I tried a dish called "Creamed Chinese Cabbage" for the first time and it was really delicious! I also like that you can order the Peking Duck in the quantity you prefer. If you go with two people, one person can order a course menu. The staff's service is excellent, just like you would expect from a Chinese restaurant in a hotel. I apologize for not remembering the names of the dishes and their prices as I am writing this later. The Tan Tan noodles I ordered were cold (I believe it was a seasonal item, so I chose that). It wasn't spicy. There are also various warm noodle dishes available. The restroom is reasonably clean since it's in the Okura Hotel, but you have to leave the restaurant to access it. This seems to be the case with other dining establishments within Fukuoka Okura that I have visited before.

Hotel Okura is a calm place to enjoy a meal without noisy or rude customers. The food is decent for the price, especially the fried dumplings with abalone and shrimp, and the shark fin soup were delicious. The staff was friendly and the drinks were also good. I am very satisfied and will definitely come back. Thank you for the meal.

I visited Momokarin at Hotel Okura Fukuoka and tried the Chinese GO-ZEN lunch set (priced at 2,100 yen). I chose the scallop and squid with oil sauce and soy sauce for the B dish, and the deep-fried shrimp with sweet vinegar sauce for the C dish. I was able to enjoy high-quality Chinese cuisine in a casual setting. Thank you for the meal.

I visited the Fukuoka Asian Art Museum's "Egypt Exhibition" and decided to stop by the hotel lobby, which was decorated with colorful May dolls! I headed to the underground restaurant via escalator, having made a reservation in advance through the official website. I reserved for 1 pm on a weekday, and the restaurant was almost full! I had pre-selected the Chinese GO-ZEN menu (including tax at 2541 yen), which allows you to taste various dishes in small portions and is popular among women. I also added a non-alcoholic sparkling drink (including tax at 907 yen). I chose white rice for the rice option and almond jelly for dessert. First, the sparkling drink and appetizers arrived - a watercress salad and shrimp and jellyfish, both delicious! The sparkling drink paired well with them. Next, the main dishes arrived, and I chose the braised beef with tomato and scallops and squid in soy sauce. The seafood was fresh and the beef had a refreshing tangy flavor from the tomatoes. The menu changes every two weeks, and the soup was a clear and light soup, not the typical egg drop soup. The shrimp dumplings and fried shrimp dumplings were tasty, along with the salad. The jasmine tea was served in a pot and enjoyed with dessert - the almond jelly was delicious. The restaurant had a luxurious and spacious layout, with attentive staff. A surprise happened when the staff gave me a rose, mentioning that it was my birthday month, even though I had not requested it. The staff and even the neighboring table congratulated me! The location is convenient, and it's a favorite spot for a relaxing meal. I will definitely visit again. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

When it comes to the Peach Blossom Forest, it's Toranomon, right? About 30 years ago, I had a lunch of Gomoku Soba, and the deliciousness was so overwhelming that it left me stunned. I still vividly remember it to this day! Since then, I have become a gourmet who pursues great taste. I originally planned to go to Camellia on the first floor, but it was full, so I ended up going to this place in the basement. The restaurant names at Okura are often the same as the main store, like Yamazato, Sazanka, etc., right? I ordered Gomoku Soba, Yellow Chive and Chive Yakisoba, Yakisoba with only Yellow Chive, Shrimp Vermicelli, Mango Pudding, and Almond Jelly. The Gomoku Soba had a rich and flavorful broth with vegetables, scallops, and shrimp cooked to perfection, enhancing the taste of the ingredients. When I ate it with straight medium-thick noodles, it was incredibly delicious! The Yellow Chive + Chive Yakisoba also had a rich seasoning with well-cooked medium-thick noodles, making it incredibly delicious! The Shrimp Vermicelli was also incredibly delicious with the same level of flavor! Oh, I realized that I ordered similar noodle dishes... I should have ordered some rice dishes too! The desserts, Mango Pudding and Almond Jelly, were also incredibly delicious without any flaws! Okura is the best! I had a great time!

I made a reservation at the Chinese restaurant on the basement floor of Hotel Okura for 12:00 on a weekday. The seats were somewhat filled, but the overall atmosphere was relaxed, which made me feel at ease. I chose the 7,000 yen lunch course, which was eligible for the first travel support regional coupon in Fukuoka. I enjoyed a glass of local beer and an 8-year-old Shaoxing wine warmed with rock sugar. The lunch course was elegantly prepared with subtle flavors, and the soup was especially delicious. The dim sum platter was also very good. After finishing the fried rice, I was quite full.

【Visit Date】Weekday at 1:00 PM.【Wait Time】None. 40% of the tables were occupied.【Service Time】10 minutes. This year's Beaujolais Nouveau faced a shortage in Japan due to factors like high oil prices and the Ukraine issue, leading to a rise in prices. Despite this, we still wanted to enjoy the Nouveau, so we gathered at a Chinese restaurant called "Toka Rin" inside Hotel Okura in Fukuoka to enjoy it with some dishes. We started with a Beaujolais Villages Nouveau from a producer named Henri Fessy. It was a light and fresh wine with a clear Gamay grape taste, typical of new wines. We paired it with the following dishes: ▪️Spring Rolls: Thick spring rolls filled generously with ingredients, cut into halves for easy eating. ▪️Bang Bang Chicken: Tender chicken with a sweet sauce on the side, a healthy and filling dish. ▪️Shrimp Chili: You could choose between large or small shrimp, with a mildly spicy finish suitable for a wide age range. ▪️Mapo Tofu: The spiciest dish of the day, but still not too hot, with a numbing flavor. We also tried several other dishes and drinks, all delicious thanks to the quality of Hotel Okura. The portions were quite generous, so it's best to visit with a few people and share the dishes. The staff provided excellent service, reflecting the quality you'd expect from a hotel. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

My family went out to eat a course meal together. We don't usually dine at Okura, so it was a fresh experience. The course was expensive, but we decided to go for it. The dishes kept coming one after another, and we were getting full quickly. The fish that was said to be "Tai" looked different from Japanese Tai, so I'm curious to know what kind of fish it was.

Having Chinese cuisine at a hotel in the middle of the day is really luxurious. On this day, I was invited to a meal by someone I am grateful to, and we went to "Toukaryuu" at Hotel Okura Fukuoka. I don't know how much the dishes cost, but they were delicious. It was such a happy experience to have a meal in that space in the middle of the day. I want to go again. The shrimp mayo was amazing. It's the best shrimp mayo I've ever had. I want to let my kids try it. Next time, I want to try turning the white rice into porridge.

Today, I had a luxurious lunch while having a business meeting at Hotel Okura's "Toukaryu." It was my first time going there, so I was a bit nervous. I chose the recommended lunch course, where you can select two main dishes. I chose the "Shrimp Mayo" and "Fish with Sauce" dishes. They were delicious and went well with the white rice. Even though it was a luxurious experience, it was around 3000 yen, so I would definitely want to go back. I'll save up and go for dinner next time.

The hotel industry seems to be suffering a major blow as well. I received takeout flyers twice, which really conveys a sense of urgency. It's quite unusual for a prestigious hotel like Okura to do something like this, so the situation must be quite serious. For lunch, I had the following dishes (including 8% consumption tax): - Peach Blossom Style Soy Sauce Yakisoba ¥1620 - Crab Meat and Lettuce Fried Rice ¥2160 - Steamed Shrimp Dumplings ¥216 - Spring Rolls ¥324 I ordered thinking it would be enough for two people, but it turned out to be a huge portion meant for one person. I shared it with a male colleague and still had leftover fried rice! So, please consider the prices mentioned above as for two people. The soy sauce yakisoba had crispy yellow chives and plenty of pork slices. It was a bit oily, but expertly balanced with the soy sauce flavor, typical of Peach Blossom. The fried rice was loaded with crab meat and had a nice crunchy texture from the lettuce. It was light, so we kept eating and ended up with leftovers! The steamed shrimp dumplings seemed small at first, but the bouncy shrimp texture and flavorful filling made them stand out. Despite their size, they were impressively delicious. The spring rolls were crispy and filled with lots of ingredients, more generous than usual. The crunchy texture remained until the last bite, thanks to the good oil draining. The restaurant is located to the right after entering the main entrance and going down the escalator on the right. Currently, they only offer takeout, and there were no customers around when I visited. (When I ordered, it was ready in about 20 minutes). Phone number: 092-262-1168.

First day of a business trip to Fukuoka. I checked in my luggage at the hotel before heading to the client's office for a meeting. Suddenly, heavy rain started pouring down, so I decided to seek shelter and have lunch at the Chinese restaurant, Tohkarin. It is located in the B1F of Hotel Okura Fukuoka, directly connected to Nakasu Kawabata Station. I arrived around 1:15 PM and was greeted by an open entrance leading to a clean and peaceful atmosphere inside the restaurant. Despite being just two people, we were seated at a round table. The table was already set with soy sauce, chili oil, vinegar, plates, napkins, chopsticks, and spoons. We were asked if we wanted hot or cold tea, and we chose cold tea. For lunch, we ordered the weekday lunch set for 2,000 yen, which included pickles, spring rolls, steamed pork with pickled vegetables, stir-fried beef with bell peppers, rice, onion and seaweed soup, mango pudding, and coffee. The lunch set menu changes weekly, and on this day, we had the option to choose one main dish from steamed pork with pickled vegetables, stir-fried squid with snow peas, stir-fried beef with bell peppers, or shrimp with mayonnaise sauce. We also had the choice of rice or congee, with free refills available. For dessert, we could choose from almond jelly, tapioca coconut milk, mango pudding, and more. Additionally, the set included spring rolls, weekly soup, pickles, and coffee, all for 2,000 yen. The dishes were served in about 5 minutes, and the weekly soup of onion and seaweed was delicious, setting high expectations for the rest of the meal. The pickles were subtly flavored with a satisfying crunch. The main dishes, steamed pork with pickled vegetables and stir-fried beef with bell peppers, were elegantly seasoned and paired well with the rice. I couldn't resist getting a second helping of rice because it was so tasty. Although both main dishes were delicious, I thought the shrimp with mayonnaise sauce might have been a good choice as well. The mango pudding dessert was light and mousse-like, with a perfectly balanced mango sauce. I finished the meal with a cup of coffee, completely satisfied with the lunch. At 2,000 yen, it was a great deal! I will definitely be returning when my new job nearby starts in September. The service was excellent, and private rooms are available, making it a perfect spot for business lunches or special occasions. I highly recommend the weekday lunch set for its high satisfaction level!

I remember visiting the Okura Hotel when it first opened, and the food left a good impression, possibly because the Tokyo chef was there. This time, it felt like the high-end Chinese cuisine was more ordinary compared to back then. They were having a half-price sale on wine due to excess stock from the pandemic, so we were able to enjoy many delicious wines, which was nice.
