On Friday night, I feel like having a draft beer at Kushikatsu Tanaka. The pork belly asparagus rolls are delicious. The Shanghai dumplings were also tasty. This time, I tried the Stamina Chiritori Nabe for the first time, and it was also delicious. The hormone inside the hot pot was also tasty.

I went to Tanaka Fujisaki, a kushikatsu restaurant, after a long time. The taste is still satisfying, about 70-80% as before, but for some reason, the draft beer at Tanaka tastes delicious. The pork belly asparagus and premium shrimp kushikatsu were a bit more expensive but delicious. The potato salad used to be tasty with boiled eggs, but now it has changed to half-cooked egg, which I personally preferred the old version. Despite being full, the staff at this cost-effective restaurant were attentive, which impressed me. With a satisfaction rating of 70-80% in taste and good value for money, I am likely to come back again soon.

Located in the area of 1-4-10 Momochi, Sawara-ku, Fukuoka City - just a 1-minute walk from Futsukaichi Station on the subway, this restaurant boasts a prime location. However, it is situated on the opposite side of Route 202 from the bustling shopping street that connects Futsukaichi Shopping Street to Nishijin Shopping Street, resulting in less foot traffic. With a branch also in the Nishijin area, there is no cannibalization concern. "Kushikatsu Tanaka" has been expanding its presence in Fukuoka City, with this particular location opening in May 2019. Offering Osaka's traditional B-class gourmet dish of "Famous Kushikatsu for 100 yen each," this establishment is a lively pub. The exterior is in a multi-tenant building on the first floor, while the interior features a long depth with counter and table seating, creating a vibrant atmosphere. I tried the recommended winter dish, the "Winter 5-piece Assortment," accompanied by a "Lemon Sour." They were also running campaigns to celebrate reaching 300 stores. The Winter 5-piece Assortment included "Chicken and Shiso Leaf," "Large Oyster," "Ginkgo Nut," "Pork Kushikatsu," and "Onion." The pork kushikatsu was delicious, but the standout was the "Onion" - perfectly fried at high heat, resulting in a sweet and exceptional flavor. The young staff members were cheerful, energetic, and friendly, making it a welcoming place for solo diners. I look forward to visiting again. Thank you for the meal. Enjoy Gourmet Life☆

I visited Mr. Tanaka's kushikatsu restaurant in front of Fujisaki Station! It's a great choice to have a variety of kushikatsu to choose from. I decided to have a lemon orange juice as my drink. The different types of kushikatsu were all good. It's important to carefully consider the drink options and buffet choices as well.

Located in Fushizaki, Sawara Ward, this restaurant has been thriving since its opening in June. The skewers are delicious and affordable, and the service is excellent. However, there are two points to mention: 1) Double dipping is not allowed, supposedly to experience Osaka culture, but in reality, it's just a rule without much reason. It would be nice if they allowed it. 2) On weekends, there is always a long line, and the staff tends to discourage customers from waiting by mentioning long wait times. However, in reality, there are often empty tables within a short time. Despite these issues, the skewers are delicious, affordable, and the service is great, making it a great spot for a casual drink.

I visited the Fujisaki store for the first time. Since it was a Friday, I made a reservation just in case, so the guidance was smooth. Since all items on the menu were 100 yen that day, I ordered a lot, but it took a while for the food to be served, perhaps because there were many customers. The inside of the store was crowded with people, so it was a noisy atmosphere. I think it's best to eat slowly at the counter.

"Kushikatsu Tanaka" is an izakaya founded in Setagaya, Tokyo in 2008 by Keiji Nuki, a former advertising agency employee who received advice from Yoko Tanaka, the current vice president, when he was a regular customer at his bar in Shinsaibashi, Osaka. The restaurant's menu is based on the original recipe notes for "kushikatsu" that Yuki Tanaka's father, Yuukichi, used to make at home. They offer a variety of kushikatsu, along with Osaka B-class gourmet dishes like "katsu udon," "gyu-suji dote," and "chiritori nabe." The restaurant has become popular and expanded nationwide through both direct management and franchising. In June of this year, they even achieved listing on the Tokyo Stock Exchange first section, with plans to reach "1000 stores" in the future. This year in May, they opened a new direct-operated store in Fukuoka called "Kushikatsu Tanaka Fujisaki Store," which serves as a training ground for new employees to learn the necessary tasks over a year. The reviewer visited the restaurant with two friends for a summer gathering and enjoyed a satisfying meal and drinks. They praised the lively atmosphere, delicious food, and reasonable prices, expressing their intention to visit again in the future.

Ano Kushikatsu Tanaka has opened in Sawara Ward, Fujisaki. I wonder when it opened?? There was quite a line on weekend nights. I had never been there before, so I went with my family. The staff were lively and there were energetic shouts, almost a bit too loud. Maybe because it just opened... We started with a toast with draft beer, and my wife ordered a sour based on the flyer she saw for 50 yen?? What we ordered: - Shrimp: very light and delicious, we ordered many more - Pork cutlet: good portion size and tasty - Beef cutlet: also delicious. Overall, everything was tasty and had a lively atmosphere. My child was curious why dipping twice was not allowed. After explaining, they understood. Thank you for the meal.

A new restaurant called "Kushikatsu Tanaka" opened in the neighborhood! Yes, it's the same "Kushikatsu Tanaka" that is listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Mothers! I had to go check it out! Here's my undercover report! [Overview] Time: Weekday evening at 7:00 PM Line: 4 groups waiting, resulting in a 30-minute wait to enter the restaurant Interior: L-shaped counter with about 20 seats, table seating, and even sunken kotatsu seating in the back Atmosphere: Festive atmosphere of a newly opened restaurant [Order] - Cabbage appetizer $250 - Pork katsu x2 $120 each - Beef katsu x2 $120 each - Shrimp $200 - Chicken wings $120 - Smelt fish $200 - Draft beer $200 - Jim Beam highball $200 Total: $1,782 (including tax) [Impressions] - All the kushikatsu was delicious! Lightly breaded and crispy without being heavy! - Shrimp and smelt fish come with tartar sauce! It's not just one type of sauce, which is nice! - The sauce is light and not too heavy. It might be better if it was a bit thicker for those from Hakata, but of course, double dipping is not allowed - The draft beer is a "Premol aromatic ale" which is not to my liking, so a bit disappointing - The highball with Jim Beam is great, with a good amount of carbonation! [Overall] - The restaurant is very lively, with staff shouting so loudly. They must be getting pumped up before opening. It seems like they are boosting each other rather than calling out to customers. But the festive atmosphere of the opening is important, so I hope they keep up this energy even a year later! - I love kushikatsu and always eat it when I go to Osaka, but the kushikatsu here is so light that I could eat as many as I want. - Since it's a new store, there was a line, but when a salaryman asked "How long is the wait?" and was told "It will be more than 30 minutes," he left. In reality, the group after me was seated in 10 minutes, so he missed out. - The stack of dirty glasses was accumulating. They must be busy, but it looks bad. - They did ask "Would you like a refill?" which is important. Whether they enforce this or not can make a huge difference in sales. [Regarding double dipping] - In Osaka, it's true. Double dipping is not allowed. I understand the reasoning. But how about deliberately saying "Double dipping allowed!"? If you're promoting it, why not go with "Kushikatsu Tanaka, the first store to allow double dipping!" Two times, three times, all you can dip! Customers would probably be happier with that! That's it for the undercover report.

Osaka specialty "kushikatsu" restaurant, but the "fried chicken bowl ¥550" that is fried after ordering is also delicious!

Famous restaurant Kushikatsu Tanaka! I went there for the first time and the taste was delicious. The staff at the Fujisaki branch were young and friendly, which I appreciated. We ordered various items for two people, and since we drove there, we only had Oolong tea to drink. It ended up being close to 3000 yen per person, so if you're going to eat kushikatsu, the all-you-can-eat option might be better... I thought I could eat 10 pieces, but the portions were small so even women can eat more than expected. If you order alcohol normally, it would cost over 10,000 yen for two people, so unless it's a high-end kushikatsu restaurant, it might be better to go for yakiniku at that price... I, who narrow-mindedly equate luxury with yakiniku, tend to think that way. Forget it! You probably don't have to worry about that if you're wealthy. lol The impression was that the portions were smaller than expected. I had only been to high-end kushikatsu restaurants in Nakasu before, and I had a preconceived notion that Kushikatsu Tanaka was reasonably priced, so ordering individual items might be surprisingly expensive... That's an honest impression. Well, if you go for the all-you-can-eat option, that problem would be solved. If I were to go again, I would choose the all-you-can-eat option. I wonder how others are doing? In terms of being able to enjoy it at a level where you can enjoy it with children, there are positive points for the rotating system. Both my companion and I did not eat the famous red pickled ginger. Is it just me that all the items seemed to be smaller than the usual yakitori size, about two sizes smaller?

Today, I enjoyed my day off while being conscious of preventing the spread of infection in the new style of living. I tried out a takeaway order from Kushi Katsu Tanaka, a chain restaurant that I had previously tried during a business trip outside the prefecture. They have been expanding in Fukuoka recently, with a new store near the local station. By ordering online, I got a 5% discount. I decided to order online and got the following: - Kushi Katsu Barrel 3797 yen → 3700 yen (excluding tax) With an 8% consumption tax, the total came to 3996 yen. It's a shame how the sense of a good deal disappears once the tax is added. The set included 5 types of skewers (lotus root, beef, ham, shrimp, cheese) x 5 each. Each skewer came with its own "no double dipping" sauce. There was also tartar sauce. The taste was just like I remembered, a bit junky. The smell of the oil reminded me of a certain fast-food chain, I wonder if they use the same type of oil? Skewers are definitely best when freshly fried, so for takeout, it's important to consider the time it takes to get home. I think it's best to eat within an hour. Thank you for the meal!
