I had never gone for afternoon tea with my colleagues before, so we decided to look for a place and managed to make a reservation at a restaurant. We could use the place for 3 hours which was great! We reserved for 12 o'clock and enjoyed a lunch followed by tea time. They had a separate stand for sweets and a plate for savory items. The drink options were plentiful, including herbal tea, flavored tea, soft drinks, coffee, and soup. We were completely satisfied. The atmosphere of the restaurant was not too formal, making it a good choice for those who find high-end hotel afternoon teas intimidating. Thank you for the meal.

The restaurant is located about a 5-6 minute walk from Tennoji Station. The interior is mainly filled with young women in their early 20s. The staff seem to focus on the younger customers, asking them to post on Instagram and checking for allergies, but they tend to ignore customers from other age groups. It can be a bit awkward when you are blatantly ignored. I probably won't be visiting again. #SoloFriendlyRestaurant

After having samgyeopsal, I felt like having something sweet, so I decided to head to Tennoji. I found a nice cafe called Honey Toast Cafe on the 1st floor of Hotel Bali Tower Osaka Tennoji. This cafe is open 24 hours a day, all year round, which is quite impressive. It was a bit challenging to have honey toast after samgyeopsal (laughs), so I opted for tiramisu and catarana instead. They were both well-made. The best part is that they are open 24/7, which is fantastic. I don't think there are any other cafes in Osaka that are open 24 hours a day.

I tried the French toast this time after having the Honey toast before. The catchphrase "French toast the size of Honey toast!" caught my attention. However, the French toast was only about the top quarter, with the rest being plain bread with maple syrup soaked in the center. It was too sweet and the edges and bottom were tasteless. The toppings were minimal, with just ice cream and whipped cream on top, along with a few berries for a nice touch of acidity. It was too sweet overall, but the berries helped balance it out. It might have been better with a berry sauce. I noticed that toppings could be added for an extra fee, so maybe that would have improved the experience. The Honey toast was delicious, but the French toast was disappointing. The staff were friendly and even lent me a charger. The cafe had free Wi-Fi from the hotel lobby, but strangely not in the cafe itself. I didn't realize it at first, but they were hosting a collaboration cafe with Danganronpa, which explained the crowded evening atmosphere. I had to wait about 20 minutes to get a table. It was odd hearing Danganronpa anime voices coming from the TV the whole time. It felt out of place for a regular cafe to have an anime collaboration. It would be better suited for stores like Animate. They mentioned a coaster or something as a gift for each Danganronpa collaboration menu item ordered.

The portion was amazing, and I was confident in my separate stomach capacity, but the last 5 bites were tough...lol But the taste was superb! I ordered the Caramel Honey Toast, and the toast was so crispy it seemed like it was fried once? The ice cream, caramel, and fruits were all incredibly delicious. The staff and atmosphere of the restaurant were also great, making it a good spot for a date.

The portion size is huge. One loaf is just right for 3 people. The taste is good for dishes, but if you use it for dessert, there is not enough filling on top and you end up with leftover bread!

The staff were very friendly and stylish, and they happened to be having a collaboration event when I visited. It's great that they are open late at night!

I was drawn in by the cuteness and ended up deciding to eat until the karaoke opened when the staff asked me how it was. It's a one-order system, so I chose the Kerontu Burger Beef (single item) and Honey Squash. The Kerontu Burger Beef is in the shape of a cute frog. The vegetables (lettuce and tomato) were delicious, and most importantly, the beef was like a handmade hamburger patty - thick and very tasty! However, I didn't notice that it was spicy. The Sambal chili sauce was spicy! It was too spicy for me, who is not good with spicy food. I wonder if they can make it without the chili sauce next time? If they do that, it would be 100 points for me personally. It came with potatoes and onion rings, so it was very filling. The Honey Squash had a rich honey flavor and was gently carbonated. It was just right for me after the spicy burger. I was very satisfied and would like to go again. I want to try other items too.

Continuing from yesterday, the topic is the thick honey toast at the "HONEY TOAST CAFE Tennoji Store" located on the first floor of Hotel Bali Tower Osaka Tennoji. As the name suggests, this cafe specializes in honey toast and offers a wide variety of options. There are also Osaka-exclusive items available. The Maple Toast is priced at 630 yen (excluding tax). Next time, let's try the Abeno Tower Toast, which is exclusive to Osaka.

<First Visit in May '17> On a Sunday morning after finishing some errands in the area from Tennoji, I searched on Tabelog for a place to have breakfast. I came across this place which was open early in the morning. It is located on the first floor of a hotel, but despite being during their operating hours, the interior was dimly lit. There were various souvenir shops mixed in, which was a bit odd. We were seated at a table in the back (which was also dimly lit). The atmosphere was calm and not bad. Although they promote a Balinese theme, there was no sense of Bali at all. We ordered the following: - Honey Toast Zakuzaku Chocolate Mille-feuille (¥820) - Coffee (¥420) - Assam Bali (¥530) The drinks arrived promptly, but the Honey Toast never came even after waiting for 30 minutes. We had finished our drinks by then, so we decided not to visit again.

[June 2016] We visited the Honey Toast Cafe located on the 1st floor of the Bali Tower in Tennoji, Osaka. The cafe is decorated with Bali-inspired decorations, and we tried the popular Kerontu Burger. The burger was made with a beef patty, fresh vegetables, and a spicy sambal chili sauce, served with crispy onion rings and potatoes. We also had iced coffee and grapefruit juice with our meal. The cafe has a relaxing atmosphere and is a must-visit for both frog lovers and non-frog lovers. [March 2016] We revisited the Honey Toast Cafe at the Bali Tower Hotel in Tennoji. The cafe has a tropical Bali theme, and we enjoyed the delicious cakes there. The cakes are reasonably priced, and we tried the Vanilla Pudding Alamo and the Fraisier Histoire cakes, along with hot drinks. The cakes were flavorful and had a good balance of sweetness. The cafe is open 24/7 and offers a great selection of pastries and drinks. [December 2015] We visited the Honey Toast Cafe during the Abetenbar event at the Bali Tower Hotel in Tennoji. The cafe has a luxurious tropical resort feel, and we tried the Strawberry Cake and hot coffee. The cafe also sells Asian and interesting knick-knacks. The cakes were small but delicious, with a light and moist sponge and creamy filling. The cafe is a great spot for a sweet treat in a relaxing atmosphere.

I wanted something sweet to eat, so I found a Honey Toast Cafe. I had trouble finding the entrance, but eventually made it inside and ordered a Honey Toast to share with a friend. It was delicious!
