Favorite French restaurant that ranks in the top three. This, along with Stephane Pantel in Kyoto and another restaurant, are the French restaurants I am currently repeating. This is my first review on my third visit. I really liked it during my first lunch visit, had dinner on my second visit, and this time I visited for lunch. The location is inside the commercial building odona in Yodoyabashi, directly connected to the station, making it very convenient to access. The interior has a classical atmosphere that evokes a sense of the good old days, exuding the grandeur of a grand mansion. I prefer this kind of subdued atmosphere over overly stylish ones (sometimes overly stylish can be tiring, and sometimes it looks rather unsophisticated, don't you think? lol). Being a restaurant with Japan's oldest winery, "Maruki Wine," I think they offer a rich selection of wines and provide high-quality wines at a reasonable price. Leave the wine selection to the sommelier, and you can't go wrong. I don't remember any of the wine brands I've had so far (lol), but they were all delicious. Also, I had cheese for dinner, and the lineup of cheeses is fantastic! Aren't there types of cheese that you don't often see elsewhere? They must be properly stored, as they are all delicious, and I want to try all of them. For those who love cheese, be sure to give it a try. Now, onto the main topic. This time, I ordered the 5000 yen course. (I extracted the course contents directly from the restaurant's website) ■ Pre-appetizer - A bite of bliss I think there were about four types, but each one was elaborate and so beautiful that it was almost a waste to eat them. Mmm! They're all delicious! ■ Appetizer - Half-cooked egg of pheasant and asparagus from Presskiru Field The pheasant egg was rich and very sweet, and the harmony with the asparagus was wonderful. ■ Fish dish - Biwa trout with Bearnaise sauce It melted in my mouth. The beautiful color of the trout and the rich yet elegant taste of the sauce. ■ Meat dish - Grilled veal loin with a good aroma The meat was very tender, and the sauce was exquisite. The quality of the meat was high, and I was very satisfied with the main dish! ■ Dessert - Strawberry nougat glacé with yogurt sherbet and matcha sauce The dessert is always outstanding. Both the appearance and taste are excellent. My excitement never wanes until dessert. ■ Cute little sweets in a jewelry box ■ Coffee or tea, infusion And here, women's excitement rises even further. Just as the name suggests, it's a jewelry box. With a separate stomach fully open! Each sweet is lovely, and I conquer all the varieties every time. Here, women's hearts are truly captivated. So, this is also perfect for a date, right? The 5000 yen course with soft drinks and service charge was 7000 yen per person. When I had the 7500 yen course, I also had alcohol, so it was a little over 10,000 yen, and for dinner, I drank several types of wine by the glass, added cheese, and it was about 25,000 yen. The reason I like the food at this restaurant is that it has a solid foundation of traditional French cuisine with a proper touch of originality. This "proper originality" is the most important point for me. (Because there are more and more restaurants showing off incorrect originality) I basically have an allergy to restaurants with the genre "Innovative" on Tabelog (with some exceptions). Well, with the current trend, there are many excellent restaurants, but... is it a matter of taste? Am I a Showa-era person, or do I have no interest in sushi restaurants that emphasize the marriage of champagne or wine, or sushi restaurants that incorporate Western elements into their ingredients. Oh, I digressed lol. The service is outstanding in hospitality, and while being a traditional restaurant, it is characterized by its friendliness. It relaxes you with just the right Kansai-style warmth, so you can enjoy yourself without feeling tense. The customer base is older in age. It's calming, this atmosphere. Also suitable for couples. As mentioned above, women's excitement rises even further. In other words, this is the best lol. Just like its name, it's a jewelry box. With a separate stomach fully open! Each sweet is lovely, and I conquer all the varieties every time. Here, women's hearts are truly captivated. And that means it's perfect for a date, right?

When it comes to the delicious season of sweetfish, I always crave for the "Sweetfish Fuyute" at Preskil. I had a dish of "Sweetfish Fuyute from Nagaragawa, Gujo, with a balance of bitterness and umami" as part of the course. The Fuyute had a beautiful brown color and an elegant pattern. When I cut into it, the crispy pie crust made a sound, and a steam rich with the scent of sweetfish rose up. Inside the crunchy pie crust was a fluffy and tender sweetfish meat, with a sauce that enhanced the flavor with the distinctive bitterness of sweetfish organs. It's a wonderful dish that delights all the senses. I'm so glad I was able to visit during this summer season again.

I visited the restaurant that I had to cancel due to the risk of premature delivery. Every dish was beautiful and the sauces were delicious, especially the scallop and summer truffle sauce. The seared duck meat was fragrant and full of flavor. The desserts were all cute and satisfying. I was very happy with my experience. It became a favorite restaurant that I would like to visit again when I return to Osaka.

I made a reservation for a private room because I was with my child. It's hard to find French restaurants where children are welcome, but they were very accommodating when I made the reservation over the phone. The dishes were made with seasonal ingredients and both the presentation and taste were amazing. The dessert at the end was cute and really lifted my spirits. They even prepared a lovely children's lunch for my child, who happily enjoyed the meal. The staff interacted well with my child, showing care and attention, which I truly appreciated. They even gave my child a cookie at the end, showing incredible hospitality. It was a wonderful restaurant that makes me want to visit again. Thank you for the meal.

I visited for lunch on a regular day. The interior of the restaurant is very spacious and has a classic atmosphere. The large flowers displayed are very tasteful. The food was all excellent! It looked beautiful and the explanations of the dishes were very detailed. The sauces, in particular, were all outstanding. The sweet tomato sauce served with the trout appetizer was amazing (*^_^*). The tea sweets at the end were very Instagram-worthy and perfect for girls! The staff even took photos for us, which was a lovely touch (≡^ ^≡)♪ I love French cuisine, and this has become one of my favorite restaurants. It's great that it's directly connected to Yodoyabashi Station. Thank you for the delicious meal (´▽`)/ ===========

I went with my mother for a belated Mother's Day celebration. It was amazing from the appetizers to the tea sweets at the end! Every dish was impressive with carefully crafted sauces that were delicious. Many places focus on appearance, but the food here was truly delicious! I definitely want to come back next time to enjoy it with wine!! It was a wonderful time!

Each dish was explained carefully, which was very educational. I was nervous dining alone at a high-end French restaurant, but the staff were kind and accommodating. The angel prawn and ginger-flavored quenelle were incredibly delicious. I heard they deep-fry fish paste and choux pastry. I had never heard of these dishes before and the flavors were completely new to me, but strangely delicious. I would love to try other dishes by the chef, so I hope to visit again when I'm in Osaka. Thank you for the delicious meal.

I visited the restaurant for a celebration on a Sunday afternoon. The table was decorated with seasonal passion fruits. The dishes were vibrant and colorful, with a balance of flavors and textures that kept me engaged throughout the meal. The Champagne "Champagne La" served at the beginning was light and fruity, very easy to drink. The one-bite flounder amuse-bouche was not only cute with a butterfly design but also offered a delightful texture and left me excited for the next course. The warm bread served in a covered dish stayed deliciously warm. The sea bream in the primo course had crispy skin and tender flesh, while the Ehime pork in the secondo course had a satisfying chewiness. The asparagus ice cream was visually striking and surprisingly balanced in flavor, creating a unique dessert experience. In the private room, a family was joyously celebrating a birthday, making it a perfect restaurant for special occasions. The sommelier and staff were friendly and provided attentive service, allowing me to enjoy a leisurely dining experience. Thank you very much. I would love to visit again.

My husband made a reservation for my birthday. The amuse-bouche of a bite-sized flounder with a butterfly on top was not only delicious but also visually stunning, which got me excited. The sea bream had a crispy skin and a tender flesh, it was delicious. The dessert was asparagus ice cream, which was a delightful surprise for my birthday. Lastly, a cute assortment of small sweets in a jewelry box was presented. Opening the large pyramid-shaped lid revealed a beautiful display of various sweets, and I was able to choose my favorites from the 8 varieties. It was an exciting presentation that made the whole experience enjoyable until the end. I highly recommend this restaurant for special occasions. Thank you for the wonderful meal ★

Located in Yodoyabashi, Osaka, "Presquile" is a well-known French restaurant that has recently gained recognition from Michelin and has been selected as one of the top 100 French restaurants in Japan. Owned by the oldest winery in Japan, Maruki Winery, this restaurant offers a splendid dining experience. During a Thursday lunchtime, I visited this restaurant with a reservation at the opening time of 11:30 am. Here is what I ordered: Course "Raison" (including tax ¥20,570): - (Cold dish) Pan-seared scallops with green apple puree. - (Warm dish) Asparagus and Morel mushroom farce. - (Warm dish) Eel wrapped in puff pastry. - (Seafood dish) Lobster a la nage. - (Meat dish) Lamb flavored with thyme. - (After main course) Selection of natural cheeses. - (Dessert) Lychee-flavored baba. - (Dessert) Tropical fruit vacherin. - (After meal) Assorted petit fours served in a jewelry box. - Coffee or tea. Overall, I was extremely satisfied with the experience, although the number of dishes was overwhelming for me personally. The standout dishes for me were the pan-seared scallops, eel wrapped in puff pastry, lamb flavored with thyme, and the desserts. The taste, service, and ambiance of the restaurant all deserve a 4-star rating. Despite the relatively high prices, the quality and execution of the dishes justify the cost. This restaurant truly lives up to its reputation as a top-tier dining establishment. Overall rating: 3.9 stars.

5/18 Yodoyabashi "Presquile" Compilation of Michelin One Star and La Liste 1000 Since the collaboration with the master chef Kamigakimoto last November to celebrate the Michelin acquisition... It's been a while since I experienced Presquile. Although it's a bit sad that one less joke can be made about Michelin's delayed recognition, I am still looking forward to enjoying the delicate and beautiful French cuisine. Today, I once again indulge in a lunch that feels more like dinner... ★ Beautiful Aurora's Pillow One of Presquile's specialties. A masterpiece that makes you think, "Ah, I'm at Presquile." The Champagne seeps in, reviving my hungover body... ★ Cold Fish Soup with Turbot and Caviar Turbot and caviar soup with a pleasant fennel aroma... The Greek Sovinion paired with it is intriguing... The caviar, along with slightly larger pieces of turbot, is savored in one go... This moment feels like the essence of this dish... When I asked for water, they brought out a sparkling Evian that is not sold in France... The skilled sommelier Hikosaka seems to have "acquired" it... ★ Matsuno's Asparagus and Morel Mushroom Farce After taking two bites, I looked up and called the waiter back to hear the explanation again... Morel mushrooms wrapped in chicken mousse. Asparagus sourced from Matsuno. The sauce, made with morel extract, Madeira wine, and shallots, shows a sense of dignity... It has a sweet fragrance different from matsutake... The texture and umami of the asparagus have a subtle depth... Above all, this sauce is excellent... If possible, I would like to pack it in a large Tupperware and take it home... ★ Saffron-scented Blue Lobster and New Potatoes with Clam Stew A dish from the Alain Chapel lineage, I believe... A saffron-scented sauce with a light clam flavor... They must have chosen a large blue lobster... When you wrap the sauce around the thick lobster and savor it, the gentle richness of the sea slowly blossoms in your mouth... ★ Inokan's Venison Loin with Cep Puree and Praline Jus "How is your stomach?" the waiter asked... I smiled and replied, "I'm in excellent shape!"... Probably, they added an extra piece of meat... Inokan means a deer and a deer store... The sweet and transparent sauce, combined with the venison, reveals a lovely yet poignant scent... As you chew, the essence of the deer seeps out, enticing your tongue and sliding down your throat... It was a venison dish that exemplified the essence of French game cuisine... ★ Cheese I love the unusual Washed Rind cheese, Garde de la Loire. I forgot the aging period... Comte has a robust sweet chestnut flavor... Followed by Brie Savarin, etc. The wine is a Ratafia with Taylor (Port Wine)... When you say, "My stomach is in excellent shape," the alcohol keeps flowing... Thank you... ★ Tropical Fruit Vacherin ★ Cute little sweets in a jewel box As usual, I enjoyed the dessert without saying a word... Just smiling... The finale was a Sauternes... Since last November was a collaboration with Chef Kamigakimoto, it's been about a year since I had Chef Sasaki's unique course... The overall stability of the course, along with the memorable dish of morel mushrooms, left a deep impression... Finally, as usual, I took a commemorative photo with Chef Sasaki and Chief Sommelier Hikosaka, who came to see me off. Their calm expressions show that I can trust the French cuisine in Osaka... ☺️ But Chef Sasaki seems to have a slightly fuller face?... Perhaps he's feeling relieved after getting the Michelin recognition...

Every year during this season, I use this place and I am always impressed by the hospitality of the staff and the chef's cooking. Even though it's the same season, the dishes were different from last year, making me feel the change in seasons. The classic atmosphere that doesn't feel like it's in an office area makes conversations flow and time passes satisfactorily. It's a place that makes me want to come back again.

Attracted to the oldest winery in Japan and made a reservation. There were two sommeliers and a fromager, so I was able to ask various questions about wine and cheese. I decided to try both the white and red wines from Maruki Winery. They mentioned that this is the only place where you can drink Maruki Winery's wine in a glass. The red wine was particularly good and very delicious. The dishes were all beautifully presented and got me excited. We started with a salmon appetizer, breaking the crispy butterfly while enjoying it. The second dish was yellowfin tuna carpaccio, which was quite delicious with tasty tuna and the flowers and herbs on top. Usually, edible flowers like edelweiss don't have much taste, but these were delicious. Next came the bread, freshly baked with seaweed-infused butter, which surprisingly wasn't fishy at all. My friend even asked for seconds. The pan-fried sea bream had a mayonnaise-flavored mousse-like texture, resembling custard pudding sauce, recommended by the fromager and a popular dish for its unique taste. Then the meat, tender and delicious. For dessert, we had a cabbage mille-feuille, where cabbage was crisped, layered with cream and strawberries, creating a unique dessert. The petit fours at the end were a delightful surprise, with 8 different types to enjoy. They were elegantly presented in a cigarette case, and each petit four was so cute and delicious. Especially the guimauve (marshmallow) was very tasty.

I've always wanted to visit this restaurant, and the dishes were filled with the deliciousness of the spring season. The appetizer made with red king crab was so cute with butterfly-shaped tuile. I was surprised to hear that it was made with beetroot, not vegetables. The marinated salmon for the appetizer was sliced like flat pasta made from daikon radish. The fish dish was prepared using a method called "mi-cuit," where half of the saury was cooked crispy on the skin side and the other half was raw. The saury was moist and flavorful, especially when paired with the sauce. The duck meat for the meat dish was tender and the aroma of the orange sauce was irresistible. The dessert, a cabbage mille-feuille, allowed us to enjoy the taste of cabbage without any pastry. The ice cream made from the extract of cabbage leaves was a unique and delicious treat. The celebratory plate was cute and delightful, and I was excited to open the treasure box of small sweets. The moment of opening the box was unforgettable. I struggled to take photos, but the staff kindly took beautiful pictures for me. This restaurant is perfect for special occasions like anniversaries. I highly recommend it.

Visited a Michelin-starred restaurant for lunch for the first time. The table was set with a tablecloth, table flower, show plate, and napkin. Quite traditional. In the center of the dining area, there was a centerpiece flower and women customers more beautiful than the flowers. It's a wonderful atmosphere in this restaurant. And with my handsome presence, the elegance is further enhanced. I ordered the 5-course lunch set with 3 wine pairings. The presentation was beautiful, the traditional French cuisine was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I occasionally visit this French restaurant that I love! Last year, they received a Michelin star, making me even more curious about this place! I hope they continue to do well and I am cheering for them. From the amuse-bouche to dessert, everything was delicious on this day. I also enjoyed Maruki's wines, both red and white. Japanese wines can definitely hold their own against foreign wines. However, they may not be suitable for long-term aging. The wines available for purchase are also fantastic and reasonably priced! I am looking forward to experiencing more delightful food and wine pairings in the future.
