This is a true coffee shop! This is the place for mixed juice!! If you want to drink mixed juice in Osaka, you must go to Tsutenkaku. I have been there several times, but this time I tried their mixed juice for the first time. They make juice from fresh fruits on the spot, so it's very delicious. It's not too sweet, with the natural sweetness of the fruits, so it's really tasty and you could drink as many cups as you want. Whenever you go to Osaka, make sure to visit here. Thank you for the meal.

I took a little break and went to a place where I could catch my breath. I wasn't really hungry, but I couldn't resist ordering my favorite mixed sandwich. However, I was surprised by the hot and fluffy egg sandwich. It was incredibly delicious and took me by surprise!

On Friday at 5:30 PM, I went to "Kissaten Tsutenkaku" in Shin-Imamiya. I ordered a "Mixed Juice (550 yen)." It arrived in 3 minutes. I took a sip. Delicious. Ah, this is the taste of Osaka's famous mixed juice. The perfect balance of sweetness and fruits. I feel like I could drink about 1 liter of it. When sightseeing in Osaka, you must try the classic mixed juice at a traditional coffee shop. Thank you for the meal.

I found a café called "Kissa Tsutenkaku" while taking a break during sightseeing in Osaka due to tiredness from walking. I visited around 3 PM, and apart from the counter seats, it was fully occupied! I chose to sit at the counter, which had a very retro atmosphere. It felt cozy with a traditional vibe. The TV was showing a Hanshin Tigers baseball game. It really felt like Osaka! I ordered a Lemon Squash and a Cream Soda. The Lemon Squash came with syrup on the side, allowing me to adjust the sweetness to my liking, which was great! In the summer, carbonated drinks are always refreshing, right?

This shop is located right in front of Osaka's Tsutenkaku Tower. Feeling a bit tired from walking, I was drawn in by the parfait samples and decided to enter. It has a very Osaka vibe, with the Yakimeshi dish being served with sauce on top, which surprisingly tasted good when I tried it. I was a bit surprised that the shop is not non-smoking.

I stopped by while I was nearby for errands. I was craving something sweet, so I ordered a banana sundae. It came out quickly, but it only had bananas and cherries... lacking in color, it didn't look very appetizing. When I tried it, it only tasted like bananas. If it had more color, it would look more vibrant and maybe attract a younger crowd. Perhaps they are not targeting a younger audience. Thank you for the meal.

I really liked the Osaka-style signboard, so I visited. The location is right under the symbol of Shinsekai, Tsutenkaku. The cost performance is great. You can pay with just one coin and get change back, so you can visit frequently. Next time, I think I'll go try the nostalgic Resuka and sandwich! Thank you for the meal.

After having lunch, I had some tea and came across a word that caught my attention - "reikoo." I remembered that we used to say "reikoo" a long time ago, but somehow we stopped saying it. So, I decided to order it again after a long time, "reikoo, please!" The mom responded, "Sure!" and clarified to the other mom in the kitchen, "Ice coffee, right?" I thought, well, that's fine! It was the old-fashioned, smooth "reikoo" without any sharp edges. The customers were mostly older, and an old man who came in later also ordered a "reikoo." This word is still alive and well! The mom was kind and reminded me on my way out, "Watch out for that step over there!" It was heartwarming. Most of the cafes in this neighborhood have a sign for "reikoo." Thank you for the meal.

During a period of neglecting updates in the middle of 2020, I suddenly realized that I had forgotten to write about "Kissaten Tsutenkaku" when thinking back to "La Mia Casa" and where to eat instead of drinking in the new world. "Kissaten Tsutenkaku" is located right next to Tsutenkaku and has a simple and understated exterior. On this particular day, I had been drinking until morning, slept in until past noon, and finally left to go out around 2 pm with a bad condition. I had missed lunch and needed to eat, so I decided to visit a coffee shop where I could still have a meal even at this odd hour. This place offers set meals, curry, and spaghetti. I quickly chose the Yakisoba set meal. It came with Yakisoba, rice, and miso soup for 780 yen. It was my first experience of having rice with Yakisoba, which is a common thing in Osaka. The Yakisoba had chunks of pork in it, so I started by eating the pork with the miso soup as if it were the main dish, and then everything blended together as I enjoyed the flavorful noodles. The atmosphere of the shop was cozy and comforting, which helped me relax. Despite still feeling the effects of the alcohol, my stomach was full, and I was in good condition to enjoy a movie afterwards.

After leaving the café in Haihai Town, I took the subway one stop to Nihonbashi. From there, I decided to walk to Kuromon Market, Den Den Town, and even to Tsutenkaku Tower. The tower was lit up in green lights, as seen in recent news. I took a break at Café Tsutenkaku located right below the tower. The café had a nice retro vibe and I ordered a refreshing drink called "Fresh Lemon Squash." It wasn't too fizzy and had a nice cherry on top. It was a great place to relax and quench my thirst.

On March 15, 2020, around 3 pm, I came all the way from Kobe to Shinsekai just to eat kushikatsu. I tried two popular places, Yaesho and Kushikatsu Fukushoka, and now I'm taking a little break. The famous long-established restaurant Doremi has a long line, unaffected by the coronavirus. I found a nice little cafe nearby and decided to go in. I ordered a regular hot coffee (380 yen), which was surprisingly delicious! It had an old-fashioned pure coffee shop vibe. My partner, who grew up in a coffee shop, was also impressed by the taste. Thank you for the meal! As a bonus, the owners were middle-aged ladies, but the restroom was a traditional Japanese style, showing they have strong knees. I personally don't like traditional Japanese toilets.

At the end of February, due to the impact of the coronavirus, the streets of the New World area were quiet, except for the popular kushikatsu restaurant where there was a long line. It was a somewhat melancholy sight. Amidst this, right below Tsutenkaku Tower, I had a morning coffee service for 380 yen (tax included). The boiled egg was freshly made, still wet as it had just been dipped in hot water. My Kitoran, made of paper clay, must not get wet! So, I carefully wiped off the moisture and placed a spoon underneath the egg for stability. The egg balancing on Kitoran was complete. I quickly put it in my bag after taking a photo, as doing this alone was a bit embarrassing. It was a leisurely weekend morning. Thank you for the meal.

A friend took me to a retro-style café where they treated us to ice-cold water and I ordered an iced coffee. The coffee and toast were served quickly, and the toast was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, with a hint of butter. The boiled egg was hard-boiled, and I enjoyed it with a sprinkle of salt. It felt so satisfying to have a leisurely breakfast that I didn't have to make myself. The atmosphere was nice, and the friendly farewell from the staff at the end made me feel happy. Thank you for the meal! 😊

Today I have work again. I have to go to Honmachi area, so I will walk from Tennoji. The cherry blossoms in Tennoji Park are beautiful. This time, I also have some errands in Nihonbashi, so I took the route via Tsutenkaku. The restaurant was busy with 4 Chinese customers and 3 Japanese elderly customers after me. The interior of the restaurant looked clean and well-kept, probably because of the tourists. I ordered the hot coffee morning set for 380 yen. Let's do our best today. Thank you for the meal.

There are many old-fashioned cafes around Tsutenkaku and the Shinsekai area. When researching breakfast options, it seems that the standard is usually toast and boiled eggs for around 400 yen, with salad or fruit being rare additions. So, I decided to try a classic breakfast at a cafe right under Tsutenkaku called Kissaten Tsutenkaku. The entrance display was colorful and inviting. On a weekday around 9 am, there were only a few regular customers, so it wasn't crowded. The breakfast arrived in just a few minutes. The coffee was piping hot at first, making it hard to taste, but as it cooled down, it was rich and bitter. The toast was thick and soft. The boiled egg had a reddish yolk, which I later found out was their popular "Kodawari Akamitsu Tamago" (specially selected red yolk egg). This area seems to have many flavorful old-fashioned places to explore, making it worth a visit.

I woke up early in Osaka and took a taxi to head to Shinsekai towards Tsutenkaku Tower because I wasn't sure about the directions. When I arrived at Shinsekai, it was lively even in the morning. I went to a cafe called "Kissaten Tsutenkaku" located almost directly below Tsutenkaku Tower to have breakfast since I hadn't eaten yet. I ordered the morning set which came with iced lemon tea and toast with butter lightly spread on it and a sprinkle of salt, which was also delicious. I dipped the toast in the iced lemon tea, creating another delicious moment. Finally, I peeled the boiled egg, sprinkled a little salt on it, and enjoyed it. It was delicious. Even though I didn't feel full, I was satisfied with the meal that cost 380 yen. Thank you for the meal.

At the base of Tsutenkaku Tower, there is a cafe named "Tsutenkaku" - a straightforward name. The building is new, so it's not a retro cafe, but the atmosphere is reminiscent of a Showa-era coffee shop. I visited the shop near closing time after seeing Tsutenkaku at night. I tried the "Mitsukusu Juice," which was served in a full glass with a strong banana flavor. The citrusy taste of the orange was also refreshing. The juice was well-chilled and delicious. The atmosphere and service were good, but the inside of the shop smelled of cigarettes. It was a shame that the well-prepared drink couldn't be fully enjoyed. Thank you for the meal.
