In the newspaper insert for the third week of July, there was a 20% discount coupon for weekdays only. I used this coupon on my day off to go to a restaurant. I ordered the all-you-can-eat premium domestic beef yakiniku course menu (3980 yen) which was the most expensive option available, marked with a star. Other options included the premium beef tongue salt-grilled, domestic beef loin with wasabi, domestic beef sukiyaki-style shabu-shabu, and domestic beef loin, all marked with a star. I also ordered the premium harami, harami steak, and tetchan. The beef tongue salt-grilled marked with a star was thick and incredibly tender. It was a bit fatty but very soft. The domestic beef loin with wasabi, sukiyaki-style shabu-shabu, and loin, all marked with a star, were delicious but a bit fatty. As I get older, I find that I can't handle fatty foods as well. The harami and harami steak, marked in red, were not as fatty and tasted great. Overall, I think the all-you-can-eat premium domestic beef yakiniku course is a good deal for younger people. However, as you get older and become more sensitive to fatty foods, the special yakiniku course menu is probably sufficient. The harami and harami steak are available in this category and are quite tasty. Without the 20% discount, the premium domestic beef yakiniku course would cost 3980 yen, while the special menu is 2980 yen, making a difference of 1000 yen which is significant. Also, the soft drinks are self-service and cost 200 yen each, so if you plan on having two or more drinks, it's worth it. Next time, I plan to try the special yakiniku course menu without a discount coupon.
