Rivage has stores in Tsukuno, Ootori, and Higashi-Kishiwada. I took a train to the Tsukuno store on the weekend around noon. I used Google Maps and arrived in about 15 minutes. When I got there, I realized that the Tsukuno store does not have seating, so I got takeout. Rivage's cakes are all large and I had a hard time choosing. I tried the refreshing melon shortcake for ¥680, the fruit daifuku for ¥580, the pudding a la mode for ¥600, and the chocolate torte for ¥600. I had the melon and pudding and they were delicious. The melon cake used two types of melon, and the cream and sponge were a perfect match, with just the right amount of sweetness. The pudding was a traditional, firm pudding that was large and satisfying. The fruits were also delicious! Thank you for the meal! Next time, I want to go to the Ootori store or the Higashi-Kishiwada store where I can eat in.

I heard that their baby shoes are famous, but as soon as I entered the store, the Dutch shoes caught my eye and looked delicious, so I quickly decided on that product (laughs). I didn't even get to see the baby shoes. We offered the altar in the morning and enjoyed the snacks with my mother in the afternoon. How many years has it been since I had a cream puff.

The other day, I had some cake from a local bakery called "Rivage Tsukuno" in Sakai City. I bought a chestnut, Rivage cheese, and a cake with pudding on top. Rivage is a popular bakery in Sakai and their cakes are always delicious. The cakes from Rivage were so tasty!

The cream puffs here are delicious. I used to buy them often when I went to pick up my son from elementary school. Having cream puffs after a long time is still delicious. The point card has been discontinued, but now they give out discount coupons when you make a purchase. I bought a Baumkuchen this time and used a 10% discount coupon that I received the other day. The discount does not apply to cream puffs. The Baumkuchen is also neatly wrapped, making it perfect as a gift.

The most popular item is the cream puff "Dutch Shoe" for 200 yen. It has a cookie-flavored choux pastry filled with plenty of custard cream! Mmm, delicious! It's often brought as a gift or enjoyed as a snack at work. Today, I also bought choux ice cream and cookie sandwich ice cream. I'll enjoy them on this hot day.

The cakes here are American-sized and quite large, but a bit on the expensive side, so I often buy Dutch shoes, shoe ice cream, and baked goods. Today's Dutch shoe sales start at 4 pm, which doesn't work for me. Just then, a roll cake caught my eye. It's priced at 1080 yen, which is reasonable. As expected from Rivage, the sponge is fluffy and the cream is just right, not too sweet, completely different from convenience store roll cakes. Oh no... When did the price of the Dutch shoe go up to 200 yen including tax? I'm a bit shocked... I didn't realize even though I like it. But let's move on. My next favorite after the Dutch shoe is cookie ice cream and busse ice cream, both priced at 250 yen. They are popular items. I was happy to find out that I could use a discount coupon I received last month, which gave me a 10% discount. The cookie ice cream is different from regular ice cream, it's crunchy! When you eat it, cookie crumbs fall off, which I like. The busse ice cream has soft dough that matches well with the ice cream. Both are delicious! Well, I prefer the cookie ice cream. I recommend trying both.

I visited the Tsukuno store instead of the Ho store. They had the schedule for the April cake buffet, and I would like to challenge it someday. I usually go to buy cream puffs aiming for the completion time, but today I bought birthday cakes based on everyone's requests. They were all big and I was grateful.
