On a late Saturday night when most places were crowded, I stumbled upon this restaurant. It was lively and seemed to attract a lot of students. I had trouble deciding from their extensive menu, but ended up ordering the salt offal hot pot, mentaiko, potato salad, and the daily recommended dish, all of which were delicious.

I made a reservation and visited the restaurant! The presentation was meticulous and the dishes looked delicious, which made me happy as a photo enthusiast. The staff, both male and female, were friendly and I had a good impression of them. The seating options included couple seats, private rooms, and seats with a call bell and large windows, allowing for a pleasant view. The specialty motsunabe was incredibly delicious! I want to try the salt motsu nabe next time! The udon noodles served at the end of the motsu suki nabe were also delicious... but I forgot to take a picture haha. All the dishes made with red chicken were tasty and overall, I was very satisfied with the restaurant. The 4000 yen course (with all-you-can-drink option) was definitely worth the price!

Located in the middle of a famous street. A second-floor shop reached by stairs. We ordered a course with all-you-can-drink option. We didn't have high expectations because it was cheap, but everyone was satisfied with the food! The horse sashimi was new and the famous motsu suki hot pot was delicious and bouncy. Even the udon was tasty. The staff were young and a bit casual, but they managed the basics well. It's a good place, with customers coming in one after another. I will definitely go again.

Visited GW with my family. We took off our shoes at the entrance and sat at a sunken table. The dimly lit interior had a cozy atmosphere with indirect lighting. The food was delicious no matter what we ordered, and the service was polite and pleasant. We also enjoyed watching a lively group next to us having a fun time at a mixer.

Izakaya Series #142 Fukuoka Edition Located about a 4-5 minute walk from Akasaka Station, this restaurant serves dishes like Mizutaki and motsu suki. I had made a reservation in advance for this place, specifically for their motsu suki where you mix hormones with eggs. The interior of the restaurant has a counter, tables, sunken kotatsu tables, and private rooms. The appetizer included dried radish, which is always a good choice. The chilled eggplant was seasoned just right with a light soy sauce flavor. The motsu suki in the summer was refreshing, with a taste similar to sukiyaki but on the sweeter side. The sweetness of the motsu and the richness of the eggs complemented each other well. The cabbage was a unique touch to the motsu suki. I didn't see it added too often. I usually order extra udon as the finishing touch. If I go again, I might try the Mizutaki next time.

It's been a while since I visited Fukuoka. Despite the ongoing fear of COVID-19, I decided to go on a lunch cruise as a gift from a friend. I searched on Tabelog for a restaurant near my hotel that offers private rooms and accepts GotwoEAT points, and made a reservation. The private room turned out to be a cozy couple's seat where two people sit side by side facing the window. It felt nice to be close together in such a small space. The restaurant was quite popular and packed with customers. We started with horse sashimi and red chicken tataki, although the horse sashimi portion was a bit small. Soon after, we were served with salad, grilled chicken, cucumber tataki, and fried chicken one after another. The salad had crispy bacon, the grilled chicken had a nice texture, and the fried chicken was freshly cooked. The bold flavors paired well with highball. For the main dish, we chose the famous "motsusuki" hotpot, where you dip Sukiyaki meat in motsu and egg. By the time we reached the udon at the end, the broth had become too intense in flavor. The all-you-can-drink option for 3500 yen with this much food was a great deal.

I went to Torinotetsu Daimyo. The chicken dishes and horse sashimi were delicious, and the cost performance was great! It was a private room, so it was easy to talk and the atmosphere was very nice! The location is also easy to get to, so please visit it!

The restaurant is clean, and the local who took me there often organizes gatherings, and if they end up in Tenjin or Daimyo with a large group, they always end up here. The staff is also very friendly, making it a perfect place for gatherings. I tried the soy sauce-based motsunabe the day before, so this time I chose the sukiyaki course. I can't comment on the motsunabe, but for those looking for a place for a large group, I recommend trying this restaurant. Today was the day before the "Oiyama" of the Hakata Gion Yamakasa festival, with the "Shudan Yama-mise" event taking place. Despite participating for three consecutive years, I had to skip this time due to fatigue, so I watched the event in front of Fukuoka City Hall. I spotted TV guests Yasuko Tomita and Hakata Hanamaru. The highlight of the day was the Mayor Takashima of Ebisu-ryu, a tradition of the Yamakasa festival. After watching the event, I sweated it out in a sauna and felt refreshed! In the evening, I had drinks with a junior colleague at a gathering called the "Yamakasa Kikidai-kai" at Torinotetsu. We enjoyed chicken sukiyaki and charcoal-grilled local chicken, along with other dishes. We started with a toast with beer and indulged in the delicious food. When I first came to Fukuoka, I was surprised by the idea of "chicken sukiyaki," but I've grown to love it. The charcoal-grilled local chicken is a must-try in Kyushu. The flavor of the parent bird and the charcoal grilling combine perfectly. We went to another bar later, watched the Yama procession around 2 am, and then headed back to prepare for the "Nagare-gaki" the next day. I've visited this restaurant 3-4 times and it never disappoints. Thank you for the delicious meal!
