It's not onigiri, it's omusubi. Omusubi rolls out of the bento box. Omusubi is what grandma makes. This shop seems to be related to the popular standing bar Kegomusu. I didn't confirm it, but the name is similar. I was looking for a quick lunch in Kenkaku, debating between Mos Burger or ramen... but eating that from Monday is not good for my body. Just then, a savior appeared. I usually eat mostly brown rice at home because I love it. Brown rice is fluffy and difficult to mold, but I entered the shop. I told them I wanted to eat inside, and they set up a table for me. The soup set was a good deal at 500 yen, so I ordered that. It came with root vegetable miso soup and 2 omusubi. I chose the dried small fish and salted mackerel with shiso. Just the names sound delicious. The omusubi is small but well-seasoned and tasty. Brown rice takes time to digest, so I chewed it thoroughly. It seems like they didn't sprout the rice, but it was moist from soaking for a long time. The combination of sansho pepper and dried small fish is delicious. This would be a luxurious accompaniment for sake. The atmosphere for dining in is a bit awkward (making eye contact with people outside...), but the omusubi and miso soup are delicious, so I would like to get takeout again. I wish they would change the miso soup to pork miso soup for an extra 100 yen (laughs). I got flustered by the beautiful waitress, but let's keep that a secret. Am I getting closer to being an old man as I age? Thank you for the meal~~
