A local friend treated me to a meal at a restaurant where the price was unknown. They ordered a course for me, including specialties like squid from Yobuko and sesame mackerel from Hakata. When they found out I love grilled chicken skin, they added three different flavors of grilled chicken skin as a special order. The menu was adjusted accordingly by the restaurant, which was a thoughtful gesture. I would love to visit this restaurant again if I have the chance to go to Hakata in the future!

Located on a street just off Daisen Street, this yakitori restaurant is recommended for its delicious grilled chicken skin, pork belly skewers, and fried chicken. The skewers are kept warm to prevent them from getting cold, which is a nice touch. The pork belly skewers are large in size. They also offer a croquette-like fried rice ball, which is surprisingly tasty. Customers are required to take off their shoes at the entrance, and there are about three private rooms with counters and sunken kotatsu tables. There is also a second floor. Orders are placed using a touch panel, which includes items not listed on the paper menu, so it's best to check the touch panel for more options. Payment can also be made through the touch panel, allowing for cashless transactions, which is convenient.

Yakitori izakaya in Gofukumachi, Hakata-ku, Fukuoka City. Please note that you need to take off your shoes at the entrance. This place specializes in chicken skin skewers. They offer a good variety of beers like Ichiban Shibori, as well as sake, shochu, and sour cocktails. There are both table and counter seats, so it's suitable for solo drinkers too.

Fukuoka City, Hakata-ku, Gofukumachi. I was looking for the popular dish "torikawa guruguru maki" and wanted to find a relatively new restaurant to enjoy a leisurely conversation while dining. The location was in Gofukumachi, a little away from the city center, near Motsukou. The restaurant had counter seats and table seats. They served Kirin Ichiban beer. The smoked chicken skin was delicious, so I ended up ordering multiple servings. The yakitori was kept warm, so you could eat it while it was still hot without rushing. The atmosphere was cozy and relaxing, with many female customers. One thing to note is that you have to take off your shoes before entering the restaurant, so it's recommended to take measures to prevent foot odor before going there!

This is a shoe-free entrance type of shop. The staff is very friendly, so you can drink with peace of mind. The chicken skin is the trendy chewy type. There are two types, soy sauce and smoked, but I prefer it a bit crispier. They also offer all-you-can-drink, so be careful not to drink too much.

In the back alley of Nakagofuku-cho, there is a fairly new yakitori restaurant. I ordered pork belly, liver, breast meat, tsukune, and heart. Honestly, they were all delicious!! The grilling was perfect, especially the breast meat, liver, and heart were amazing!! The tsukune was a bit too much, but for 130 yen, it was surprising. Thank you for the meal!!!

At Meitetsu Department Store, there is a limited-time Bread & Sweets Festival going on. Various bread and sweets from all over the country are being sold. Although it's not in the category of bread or sweets, they were selling a Fukuoka specialty called chicken skin. I purchased the "torikawa gurumaki (tamari)" from this shop. There were three different seasonings available, but tamari seemed to be the most popular. The chicken skin is rolled around a skewer. Tamari is soy sauce-based and spicy, with no sweetness. The skin is plump and not crispy.

This is a yakitori restaurant in Nakagofukumachi, Fukuoka. Due to the spread prevention measures in Fukuoka, I decided to get takeout from this place. I made a reservation over the phone in advance and arrived when the food was ready. The counter had a grill to keep the yakitori warm, and the atmosphere inside was nice. I ordered a few items from the menu, including chicken skin for 120 yen each, which was easy to eat with soy sauce and smoked flavors. I also got chicken liver for 150 yen and homemade tsukune for 180 yen. For salt-grilled items, I ordered pork belly for 150 yen and chicken breast for 140 yen. All the yakitori were big and delicious. The restaurant is located a little off Daiboku Street.
