Opened in 2013, the popular cake shop in Osaka, Acid Racines, is located in Osaka Tanimachi. The name of the shop is a combination of the initials of atomicity, consistency, isolation, and durability, forming the word "acid," and the French word "racines," meaning "roots." The concept is to firmly establish roots based on these four principles and grow from there. The chef has experience working at Hiro Coffee in Osaka for 5 years, Windsor Toyako in Hokkaido, and Marque in Bordeaux for 3 months. After serving as the chef at Ke Montebello in Osaka, the chef has now become independent.
The menu includes:
- Lac'te for 620 yen
- Anonima for 640 yen
- Pesche Citron for 680 yen
- Chou a la Creme for 360 yen
Anonima is a specialty from the opening. It consists of rich cream cheese, speculoos cookies, almond dough, orange sauce, and whipped cream on top. The balance of the mildly sweet cheese, ginger and nutmeg-flavored cookies, and orange sauce is exquisite, creating a unique cheese dessert.
Lac'te is a specialty inspired by the chef's training in Paris, featuring ganache chocolate mousse with fondant chocolate and raspberry ganache inside, and chocolate biscuit. It offers a harmonious blend of cocoa aroma and flavor, depth, high cocoa content bitterness, fruity raspberry flavor, and sweetness.
Pesche Citron is a summer seasonal dessert with white peach mousse, jelly, lemon mousse, and almond biscuit. The combination of white peach's soft sweetness and lemon's acidity creates a refreshing taste, making it a fruity and easy-to-eat dessert.
Chou a la Creme is a hard type of custard cream puff with a strong vanilla flavor. It is enhanced with rum, making it a dessert with an adult taste. The hard texture of the pastry, combined with nuts for added crunch, makes it a cream puff that adults can enjoy.
This restaurant showcases the high level of Osaka's culinary scene. The exquisite appearance is mesmerizing, and this delicacy is reflected in the balance of flavors and overall quality. Every item on the menu is delicious, making it a truly remarkable dining experience. Thank you for the feast!
