A week ago, we made a last-minute reservation for a large group at this spacious izakaya near Hakata Station, with plenty of parking nearby and open on Sundays. Located on the 7th floor of a building, the view from the windows was lovely and the interior was clean and well-maintained. From the course menu, we enjoyed dishes such as tempura bamboo shoots, seaweed chawanmushi, amberjack sashimi, motsunabe, champon, and ice cream, all of which were delicious. The drink selection was also extensive, and we appreciated the attentive service, especially when our beer was brought in bottles for the first toast and then served in glasses for refills. "Hakata Station" is a 3-minute walk from the Chikushi exit, located on the 7th floor of the Station East Sun City Building. Please take the elevator in the building. I entered the store from Hakata Station, but there was no greeting and I was guided without much enthusiasm. There seemed to be many young staff members, and their attitude was not very friendly. I was surprised that they did not respond to my questions. This shop seems to be a nationwide chain, but despite saying that all rooms are private, they were actually just separated by curtains. There were some private rooms as well. The fried food had a strong smell of oil, which was disappointing."

I had dinner here. The restaurant allows smoking, and there are large private rooms where you can relax. The appetizer was made with wagyu beef and was one of the best I've had recently. The food was also delicious. They also had infection prevention measures in place, such as using mobile ordering to reduce contact.

Last year, at the year-end party, the young organizer booked this restaurant with a completely private room. It was small and noisy... The food was as expected, so I didn't think I would visit again. However, this time, it was a reunion with Mr. N, who received a generous retirement package from a major company and has been living a comfortable life. He has found a new job, so we had a drink together after a long time. He likes private rooms, so he booked this place, but I never expected it to be here... Well, last time we had a course with a nomihodai, but this time it seems we're ordering a la carte, so I decided to join! We started with a toast with draft beer and I immediately ordered the Kyushu-produced fresh bluefin tuna belly sashimi for 2,782 yen, but it was sold out!! Sold out by 7:00 pm, what's up with that~!? Disappointed, I ordered the grilled tuna on straw, which was okay! For drinks, we had Tanaka Rokujugo, then Nanbu Bijin, then Higashi Ichi, and I also tried the recommended Iki's Yokoyama Goju, which turned out to be surprisingly delicious! I didn't know there was such delicious sake in Iki Island (^^; The beef seared on one side as an appetizer had a very mild meat flavor. The grilled tuna was delicious, but it had sinews throughout that were hard to chew. The sweet potato tempura seemed like something you could buy anywhere. The deer steak and grilled edamame were safe choices and quite tasty (^^) As the sake kept flowing, everyone started to feel cheerful, but yes, we're going to Snack now, right!! This was a company year-end party. The group chose a restaurant with a complete private room, and the new employees were in charge of organizing it. The food was served quickly, with appetizers, salad, simmered dishes, grilled Japanese beef, sashimi, all coming out at once and filling the table. The presentation of the dishes was nice, but the taste was lacking. The sake menu didn't have any brand names, so we had to order additional bottles of Kitaya sake. The chicken steak was followed by blowfish tempura, and we switched to Sangaku on the rocks. Despite the party ending in just 2 hours, it was surprisingly lively. Time to plan the next one!

It was difficult to find as it is located in a mixed-use building. Smoking is allowed in private rooms. We ordered a course meal with a separate sashimi platter. The banquet menu was typical with a pot dish included, but I forgot to take a picture of it. I can't remember if it was motsunabe or sukiyaki. I got quite drunk, so I don't have any impression of the pot dish. The drink all-you-can option was neither good nor bad. It felt like a chain izakaya.

Completely private rooms(^^) You can enjoy your meal in a calm atmosphere without worrying about others. There were a few other customers, but the staff were polite and the course meal was served pleasantly. It's close to the station, but in terms of cost performance, it's a bit... Visited a second bar for some drinks. Ordered a glass of red wine, straw-grilled tuna, uni, ikura, and tamago bowl, and aged salt koji marinated beef tongue skewers! The straw-grilled tuna had a nice texture and flavor that went well with the drinks. The uni, ikura, and tamago bowl had a good balance of flavors. I had some business to attend to at Hakata Station, so I decided to go in the evening. After finishing my ticket reservation and issuance, I headed to a bar that caters to groups for a quick visit. The bar was located on the 7th floor of a building. As soon as I got off the elevator, I saw the entrance of the bar. Inside, there was a counter with 2-3 staff members ready to assist. Since there were a few parties happening that day, they were busy guiding customers to their seats. Even though the place seemed spacious with a good capacity, there was a clever design that made other customers not visible. I was alone, but I was seated at a semi-private table for 6 people. The table was filled with an abundance of menu options. I started with a premium bottled drink and an appetizer of uni and ikura on a boiled chicken egg. It was a luxurious dish. The bar's specialty, straw-grilled blackfin tuna, was served slightly warm and recommended to be enjoyed with salt. Wrapping the provided garlic around the tuna enhanced its flavor. I also tried the salt-grilled aged beef tongue marinated in salt koji, which brought out the sweetness of the meat. It went perfectly with the drinks. The clientele mainly consisted of groups, but it seemed suitable for families as well. In addition to set courses, they also offered individual dishes and a wide variety of drinks. Overall, the dishes were satisfying for group gatherings.

On August 27, 2019, I visited the Hakata Station Chikushi-guchi branch in Kyushu with my colleagues from work. We enjoyed a banquet course with Mizutaki (chicken hot pot) as the main dish, and tried various other dishes as well. The Mizutaki had a rich flavor of chicken in the soup, and it was delicious! For the finale, we had the option to choose between noodles or Zosui (rice porridge), and we chose Zosui. Needless to say, it was also delicious...

Recently, due to the current situation, it's become common to have completely private rooms. I visited with colleagues in Fukuoka. They offer individual all-you-can-drink options, and it's a good deal when using coupons. For someone like me who enjoys drinking, individual all-you-can-drink is very convenient when drinking with others. We had a sashimi platter, grilled local chicken, mentaiko rolled omelette, etc. The beautiful private room provided a great atmosphere for us to enjoy. Maybe it's my age, but I couldn't eat much and ended up spending around 4,000 yen per person. It's a good place for a safe and enjoyable drinking experience in a private room.

All-you-can-drink with a coupon for 1000 yen is a good deal, but the food options are limited and prices are high. It's an elegant restaurant.
