A udon restaurant in Naka-Zaki-cho, Kita-ku, Osaka. There is always a long line, and I have tried to go before but ended up giving up because of the wait or because they were sold out. This time, when I visited, there were only a few groups waiting, making it easier to get in. Finally, I got a chance to try it out. I ordered the Taimaki Tempura and Onsen Tamago Bukkake udon for 1000 yen including tax. The udon was soft and chewy, with a smooth and slippery surface. When you bite into it, it's fluffy and sticks to your teeth, with a firm core in the center. The broth was flavorful and delicious. The tempura was crispy and had a nice flavor of sea bream. The onsen tamago was good, but I might prefer a regular egg tempura. Overall, it's no wonder this place is popular and chosen as one of the top 100 udon restaurants. It can definitely compete with other highly rated restaurants.

I visited the restaurant on Thursday around 1 PM and there were only 2 groups waiting, so the wait was about 5 minutes. I asked the staff for recommendations and ordered the "Sea Bream Fish Cake Tempura and Onsen Tamago Bukkake Udon." The udon noodles had a great texture and chewiness. The flavor of the sea bream fish cake was different from regular fish cake, so I highly recommend trying it. I visited Udon restaurant Kisuke. It was on my radar as one of the top 100 restaurants on Tabelog. I arrived after 2 PM, and there was a line of about 10 people, probably because it was a holiday. When I entered, there was a pot in front of me, and I peeked inside to see what kind of seasoning was in it, only to find a zebra inside. It was a surprise set up by a beautiful lady, and it made me feel like I was in Africa. It was a playful touch that I enjoyed. The udon was delicious, and the red snapper fish cake tempura was exceptionally tasty. I can't wait to see what's inside the pot next time I visit. Day visit. I came after a long time. Lucky that there was no line on Saturday evening. When I sat down and looked at the menu, I noticed that the prices had gone up significantly since the last time I visited. - Sea bream and chikuwa tempura with hot spring egg on rice bowl for 1000 yen The crispy chikuwa tempura was delicious. However, considering the price, it was a bit expensive for just chikuwa tempura and an egg. The udon noodles were chewy and tasty. - Mochi tempura for 300 yen Three pieces of mochi tempura were freshly fried and crispy. However, the price was 1.5 times higher than the last time I visited. I arrived a little before the 11:00 am opening on Saturday. There were already about 20 people in line, but I was able to enter on the second round. The turnover seems to be fast. I ordered the tai chikuwa tempura and warm egg udon. The udon noodles had a good texture and the broth was delicious. I finished every last drop. The chikuwa tempura was crispy and I want to eat it again.

I had the warm meat and egg udon with a topping of chikuwa tempura. It was delicious on its own, and the shichimi pepper provided on the table was a perfect match. Next time, I will definitely add the chikuwa tempura, and if I have the chance, I would also like to add some seaweed. Overall, it was a delicious restaurant that I would love to visit again and again.

This is a udon restaurant located near Nakazakicho Station, in a highly competitive area for restaurants. There are other popular udon restaurants nearby such as Soudaishou, Mugi to Menusuke, Yashichi, and Takeuchi Udon. This was my first visit, even though I had passed by it many times on my way to Mugi to Menusuke. I arrived around 7:15 PM and was able to get in without waiting. I ordered the Ume Oroshi Bukkake Udon with Tai no Chiku-Ten (tempura fishcake with sea bream) on the side. The male staff member seemed a bit clumsy, making mistakes with the order and dropping the ticket, but I watched over him as my bowl arrived. The udon was beautifully presented, with the white noodles against the black broth, garnished with green shiso leaves, green onions, red umeboshi, and yellow tempura. The udon had a great texture, chewy and with a strong bite, and the broth was slightly sweet, complementing the udon well. Even when I crushed the umeboshi and mixed it in, the flavor remained balanced. The tempura fishcake was sweet with a hint of saltiness, enhancing the sweetness of the chikuwa. Honestly, this was the best udon I've had so far. I might become a regular here...

I ordered the hot spring egg over rice bowl with beef (1,250 yen). It was delicious! I was quite hungry, and the noodles had a nice chewy texture, giving me a feeling of eating udon noodles. The beef was well seasoned with a sweet and savory flavor, so I kept slurping the noodles and eating the meat until I realized I had finished it all without even noticing.

Located a short walk from Osaka Umeda Station and Nakatsu Station, this restaurant had a line of 4-5 groups of people waiting outside when I visited around 1:30 pm on a Sunday. The outdoor unit was constantly emitting warm air, making it quite tough to wait in line during the summer. After about 30 minutes of waiting, I finally entered the restaurant and ordered the Chikudama Tempura Udon (1000 yen). Despite the quick service once seated, the water was slow to be served, which was a downside. The udon had a delicious chewy texture that paired well with the broth, and the tempura was crispy with a distinct flavor, especially the chikuwa tempura which was exceptional. The food was delicious, but the process leading up to it was a bit disappointing.

I visited on a regular Thursday. I arrived at the restaurant 30 minutes before opening at 11:30 and ordered the "Sea Bream Fish Cake Tempura and Hot Spring Egg on Rice Bowl" before entering. It was served to me immediately after entering. The noodles were chewy and had a nice texture, showing why this place is popular. The broth was not to my taste as it was too much, and the "sea bream fish cake" was tasty but didn't stand out much compared to regular fish cake.

I had always given up because there was always a long line, but on my fourth try, I decided to wait in line! I visited around 1 pm on a weekday after the Bon holiday, and there were about four groups ahead of me, so I only had to wait for about 20 minutes to get in! There were many options, but I chose the sea bream fish cake tempura and udon with hot spring egg, topped with mushrooms. It was delicious!

About an 8-minute walk from Hankyu Umeda Station. I arrived just before 3 pm, avoiding the lunch rush, but there was still a line! Mostly female customers. While waiting outside, I felt dizzy from the heat, so I decided on the Ume Oroshi Bukkake Udon for 950 yen from the menu I had looked at beforehand. The staff advised to check for sold-out items. Surprisingly, the turnover was quick, and I was seated in about 15 minutes. I wanted tempura as a topping, but decided to go with the Ume Oroshi to cool down! Shortly after ordering, the cold Ume Oroshi Bukkake Udon arrived. It looked refreshing and the texture of the udon was excellent. It was smooth and cool, a perfect oasis for my overheated body. The Umeboshi wasn't too sour, but had a perfect balance. The udon paired well with the broth and Ume Oroshi, and I finished it in no time. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal!

I visited the restaurant near closing time on Sunday (around 7:45 PM). I thought they might not be able to accommodate us due to the time, but the staff said it was okay for us to come in. They recommended the sea bream fish cake, so I ordered the "Sea Bream Fish Cake Tempura with Onsen Tamago Bukkake." There was also a double portion available, but I didn't have the courage to try it on my first visit. However, after tasting it, I regretted not ordering the double portion. The sea bream fish cake was delicious, so I highly recommend ordering the "Double" next time. It was so delicious that I am sure I will order the "Double" without hesitation on my next visit.

The famous restaurant featured on the TV show "Magic Restaurant" where you order before entering the store while waiting in line. The main menu consists of cold udon, but there are also options for hot udon and warm bukkake udon. If you want to order warm bukkake udon, you say "oatsu" when ordering, which is quite interesting. I ordered the Tai Chikuwa Tempura and Onsen Tamago Bukkake for 1000 yen, which is a popular menu at "Kisuke". The freshly fried Tai Chikuwa Tempura is incredibly delicious, crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. The slightly sweet bukkake sauce with a rich dashi flavor goes well with the chewy udon and chikuwa tempura. The smooth texture is enhanced by the onsen egg. The noodles have a firm texture yet are easy to swallow. Among all the udon I've had on this trip, this broth suited me the best. Since the udon takes quite some time to cook, it's best to visit with some extra time on hand. Today's first meal was delicious.

On a regular day, arrived at the restaurant at 12:30, there were 7 people waiting in front of the air conditioner outdoor unit (can't something be done, it's too hot). Waited for 20 minutes and then the udon was brought to the table. Eating it made me forget about the heat. It was so delicious... The sea bream fish cake was also excellent. So delicious!

A renowned udon shop that has also been selected as one of the top 100 restaurants on Tabelog. It was Saturday afternoon, so there was a long line with about 30 people waiting. After a 30-minute wait, I finally got in. I ordered the set meal with mixed rice, sea bream fish cake tempura, and hot spring egg on top of noodles for ¥1250. The noodles were chewy and had a good texture, different from Sanuki udon. It was delicious! The highlight was the sea bream fish cake tempura, which was one of the best I've ever had. All the tempura looked delicious, so next time I go, I want to add a lot of tempura toppings and enjoy them!

In the town of Tsuruno in Osaka, there is a famous restaurant called "Udon-ya Kisuke," which has been selected as one of the top 100 udon restaurants for 5 consecutive terms! I visited the restaurant around 3:30 pm on a weekday (Friday) and was able to enter smoothly as the peak hours had passed. I ordered the "Nama Shoyu Udon" (cold udon with soy sauce) priced at 900 yen, which had recently been increased from 750 yen. The udon noodles were refreshing and had a good texture, and the flavor was enhanced by adding a light soy sauce and grated daikon radish. The addition of sudachi citrus at the end provided a refreshing finish. The taste was excellent, and I would rate it 4 out of 5 stars. The atmosphere of the restaurant was pleasant, and the service was good. However, the price increase to 900 yen per bowl may be a drawback for some customers. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant for its delicious udon noodles.

I visited in the afternoon but the line was quite long, so I came back at night. Around 6 pm, I only had to wait about 5 minutes to get in! The udon noodles were very firm and had a great texture. The tempura chikuwa also had a slightly stronger sweetness compared to other places, and it was very delicious.
