It was a delightful treat for those with a sweet tooth, as it had chocolate chips, chocolate sauce, chocolate ice cream, and plenty of chocolate whipped cream that perfectly complemented the Gateau Chocolat. Apart from the Shinjuku Chocolate Pancake, they also have Roasted Apple, Blueberry & Caramel, Elvis, Strawberry Cheesecake, Salted Caramel Mont Blanc, Chocolate & Banana, Melty Caramel & Nuts, Butter & Whip, and more. You can add a drink to the set for an additional 300 yen. Drink options include coffee (iced/hot), tea (iced/hot), oolong tea, cola, orange juice, and more. I chose iced coffee. Since they serve freshly baked pancakes, it takes about 20 minutes for them to be ready. Highly recommended for pancake and whipped cream lovers.

Hi there! It's Pyon-chan! This time I visited Mokuola Dixie Diner in Shinjuku. The restaurant is located on the 8th floor of Lumine Est, directly connected to the station. The atmosphere is casual, with mostly female customers. I ordered the Melty Caramel Nut Pancake for 850 yen with an additional 150 yen for whipped cream, and BBQ Cheese Potato for 650 yen. The pancake takes about 20 minutes to bake in the oven, so we got the BBQ Cheese Potato first. It had a strong BBQ flavor, more than the cheese. It would go well with beer! Then, the pancake with extra whipped cream arrived about 10 minutes later! I asked for lots of whipped cream, and they really piled it on. I appreciate this kind of service. Even if the taste is just average, the great service makes me want to come back again. The pancake had a texture similar to hotcakes, and the whipped cream was light like that of Eggs 'n Things. The cream melts quickly, so it's best to share with someone.

Mokuola Dixie Diner Lumine Est Shinjuku store located on the 8th floor of Lumine Est directly connected to JR Shinjuku Station East Exit. This was my first visit. The concept seems to be a small island of sacred healing next to the Waikaea Peninsula on the island of Hawaii called "Moku Ola (also known as Coconut Island)". The interior of the restaurant is said to have a beachy open atmosphere, but it felt cramped and not open at all. Overall, it was disappointing that everything was too salty!! Especially, the Spicy Salmon and Ikura Salad (Salmon, Ikura, Paprika, Avocado, Alfalfa Sprouts, Fresh Cheese, Purple Cabbage, Mixed Greens, Onion Dressing) priced at 1,100 yen (excluding tax) claimed to be spiced up with Cajun seasoning but it was not spicy, just salty... This doesn't have the scent of the sea, right?

Yesterday, the long-awaited Lumine card 10% off promotion started! It's a special discount that only happens four times a year (March, May, September, November). I finished shopping for what I needed at Lumine Est, and even though I could have gone straight to work, I decided to have lunch there since it was 10% off (usually it's 5% off). I usually only use Lumine South Exit, so Lumine Est is a rare and fun place to explore. While there are many buffet restaurants in Lumine Est, I wasn't very hungry yesterday so I passed on the buffet. After wandering around two floors, I settled on "MOKU OLA Dexee Diner" on the 8th floor for a Hawaiian lunch. Since it was only 11:30 and the restaurant opened at 11, there weren't many customers yet. I don't like sitting at the counter (because I have long legs), so I chose a table seat. When it comes to Hawaii, you have to try Loco Moco, so I ordered the "Loco Moco Combo" with a salad and soup set. The napkins were in Spam cans on the table, which I found a bit unnecessary. The soup was corn potage and the salad had French dressing, but the lettuce was brown in many places, which was unappetizing. The Loco Moco Combo arrived on a hot plate, with a paper apron to protect from sauce splatter. The egg was perfectly half-cooked, but the yolk was off-center. The hamburger was juicy but lacked flavor, while the sauce was extremely salty, possibly due to evaporating moisture on the hot plate. It made eating the rice, hamburger, and sauce together difficult. Overall, I wished the sauce was less salty and easier to eat with the rest of the dish.

Maybe it was because of Lumine Est, but the restaurant was filled with young women. Looking around, everyone seemed to be ordering pancakes! We started with a light main dish first, and then ordered pancakes for dessert as well. The main dish, which caught my eye with its ribs, was just okay. It wasn't particularly delicious or bad. Perhaps the small portion was meant to save room for the pancakes later. However, the pancakes were absolutely delicious! Rich cream, chocolate, and raspberries - the pancakes were soft and had a great texture. Sometimes, having a dessert with a generous portion like this is nice.

There were 2-3 types of salads available! The atmosphere inside the restaurant makes you feel like you're in Hawaii, so I sometimes go alone to feel my love for Hawaii. Since it's been in Lumine for a long time, I think it's a popular restaurant in Lumine! There are also quite a few junky menu items, so I think it's a restaurant that is suitable for men as well, making it easy to use for couples during a shopping date. There may be a line during lunchtime on weekends.
