"Nori maker's specialty shop, Niconico Nori, located in Namba, Daikokucho, and Imamiya Ebisu. The variety of onigirazu options is overwhelming! Here's what I ordered: - Juicy rolled omelette with okaka ¥250 - Whole luxurious salmon with salted kelp ¥260 - Homemade spicy miso beef and colorful vegetable bibimbap ¥240 All the fillings are generously packed, making them a delight to eat! The thick egg releases a flavorful broth, the salmon is huge, and the salted kelp is delicious. The bibimbap has just the right amount of spiciness. And the nori from the nori maker's shop is incredibly fragrant and crispy. The nearest location is Imamiya Ebisu, but it's also within walking distance from Namba. There's also a kitchen car in Honmachi! Onigirazu is a trendy dish right now, so be sure to try it out! #KansaiGourmet #KansaiLunch #KansaiDinner #KansaiCafe #OsakaGourmet #OsakaLunch #OsakaDinner #NambaGourmet #NambaCafe #NambaLunch #NambaDinner #NanbaGourmet #DaikokuchoGourmet #ImamiyaEbisu #Gourmetstagram #OsakaTakeout #Namba #Takeout #TakeoutGourmet #Onigirazu #OnigiriSpecialtyShop #NiconicoNori #Nicoya #NambaOnigiri #Instafood #Foodstagram #GourmetGirls #Foodies #Osaka #Onigiri"

Mrs. Niko's Onigirazu The other day, I went to Mrs. Niko's Onigirazu with Mr. Niko for a day off. There were so many choices that I couldn't decide which one to get, but I ended up choosing the popular classic one. The spam and thick omelette were delicious, but the beef kalbi with aromatic soy sauce was also really tasty. Mr. Niko's favorite was the big salmon and salted kelp onigiri because the seaweed was crispy. The freshness of the onigiri was amazing. Along the way, we found a lovely park and enjoyed a picnic. It's such a great season. If you're nearby, definitely try Mrs. Niko's Onigirazu. It might become your new favorite.

I often pass by this shop, but never had the chance to buy anything, so today I parked my car and bought two items for lunch. Beef and vegetable bibimbap for 290 yen, and crispy spam with thickly cooked egg for 290 yen. I made a phone reservation and picked them up, so I didn't see the actual items until I opened the bag in my car, and I was disappointed that they were not big enough to fill me up. I decided to eat them with cup noodles from the convenience store. As others have mentioned, the seaweed was very crispy and fragrant, which was good. The spam was salty, and the egg was on the sweeter side, creating a sweet and salty flavor that I have never experienced with onigiri. The beef bibimbap had crunchy vegetables and a rich flavor that made the rice very enjoyable. I wish they were a bit bigger.

I heard that a new shop opened near Imamiya Ebisu Shrine where you can get "onigirazu" to go, right next to the headquarters of "Niconico Nori." The shop is called "Nikoya" and it has a clean and welcoming atmosphere. You can also purchase just the nori if you like. Now, let's talk about the various types of onigirazu I tried: - "Autumn-scented burdock and sweet and savory beef simmered onigirazu": The texture and flavor of the burdock add depth to the dish, while the beef simmered in a sweet and savory sauce complements it perfectly. - "Soy meat and vegetable keema curry onigirazu": The soy meat gives a meaty texture, and the variety of vegetables adds a nice crunch, all with a hint of curry flavor. - "Crispy spam and thickly cooked egg onigirazu": The salty and fatty spam adds a subtle flavor, while the thickly cooked egg provides a gentle sweetness that ties everything together. - "Whole luxurious salmon and flavorful salted kelp onigirazu": The generous chunks of salmon are lightly seasoned, allowing the balance between the saltiness and umami of the salted kelp to shine. - "Juicy dashi roll and flavorful bonito flakes onigirazu": This award-winning onigirazu features a gentle Japanese dashi flavor in the dashi roll, complemented by the aroma of bonito flakes. - "Homemade spicy miso beef and colorful vegetable bibimbap onigirazu": A unique flavor reminiscent of bibimbap, with a well-balanced level of spiciness and saltiness in the miso, enhanced by the nori and rice flavors. - "Tender pork belly and crunchy sweet and savory burdock onigirazu": A perfect match of pork and burdock, with the tender pork and crunchy burdock creating a delightful texture. All the onigirazu are made with a base of sticky rice mixed with about 30% mochi rice, giving them a soft and chewy texture with a rich sweetness. The nori adds a deliciously crispy and flavorful touch, enhancing the overall experience. The ingredients are thoughtfully seasoned to highlight the flavors of the nori and rice, creating a well-balanced and satisfying meal. Each bite leaves you craving for more, and you'll find yourself reaching for another onigirazu before you know it. The ingredients change according to the season, so I look forward to revisiting and trying the recommended onigirazu for that time. Onigirazu is a great option for a gift as well!

Since Namba Parks was built, this area has become very clean and many new buildings have been constructed. In one of these beautiful buildings, you can find a shop called "Nikoya," which is located in the hometown of the famous Niko-Niko Nori. I didn't know that the headquarters of Niko-Niko Nori was located here. Recently, they have been selling nori specifically for "onigirazu," which has become a trend. You can see this product in various supermarkets, and they also sell onigirazu made with this nori. When I visited, it was already late for lunch, so most of the items were sold out. I tried the "Spam and thick omelette onigirazu for 290 yen" that was still available. I enjoyed exploring the possibilities of onigirazu and now I want to try making it at home. Thank you for the meal!

Mary and I went out for a food tour and visited Tennoji Zoo (ΦωΦ)♪ After stopping by Anagumatei, Rofuan Cafe Tsugine, we headed to Tennoji Zoo. On the way to the zoo, we stumbled upon this place that Mary had already heard about in the media! It was a pleasant surprise to find it unexpectedly. Mary seemed unaware of it, just like she was unaware of onigirazu. She seems to be not very knowledgeable about things other than noodles. As we were discussing this, a staff member came out to promote the shop with enthusiasm, which was nice to see. The staff member was kind enough to offer us a sample of onion soup even before we had decided to buy anything! After that, although we were heading to the main event of the meetup, we decided to buy just one item to eat at home later. We bought the Juicy Dashimaki and Flavorful Okaka for 270 yen. It might be a good snack for later or when you're feeling a bit peckish. The dashimaki was full of egg flavor and went well with the okaka. The nori was crispy, and everything seemed well thought out. It was delicious! Mary, on the other hand, was eating at the zoo. She struggled a bit with unwrapping the onigirazu, even though it came with instructions. We enjoyed seeing the lions and the huge tiger at Tennoji Zoo, it was very soothing. It had been a while since we last visited, and while it had a jungle feel, there seemed to be fewer animals around than before. |・ω・*)?

Nikoniko Nori's main office has a new takeout shop specializing in onigirazu. Currently, they offer 5 types of onigirazu and salads. The shop is located in Okunicho, just off Parks Street. The interior is surprisingly clean for a place that only sells onigirazu. The 5 types available are: Tuna Mayo Rich for 200 yen, Healthy Ume and Okra with Lightly Seasoned Chicken for 230 yen, Juicy Ochazuke with Plenty of Bonito Flakes for 270 yen, Homemade Spicy Miso Beef and Colorful Vegetable Bibimbap for 270 yen, and Whole Luxurious Salmon Belly and Flavored Salted Kombu for 280 yen. I tried the Okra and Salmon Belly ones. The Okra with Ume was interesting, with the okra condensed inside the seaweed. The Salmon Belly and Salted Kombu were as expected in taste. The rice is blended with brown rice for a healthy touch. The seaweed is crispy, but I prefer seasoned seaweed on my onigirazu. Overall, it's fun to choose and try different flavors of onigirazu. The prices are reasonable, ranging from 200 to 270 yen per piece. It's a nice change from convenience store onigiri. I enjoyed the onigirazu!

I visited the restaurant for the first time on its opening day. On that day, they gave out seaweed as a gift. There were no special events on my second visit, but recently I received seaweed for making character bento. The onigirazu with chewy brown rice was delicious and addictive. My favorite items are bibimbap and dashimaki. The side dishes are bite-sized, which is just right. I always forget to take photos of the shop, but I remembered to do so today.

Nico Nico's main office opened a new takeout-only onigirazu specialty shop called "NICO-YA" on the first floor on October 1st (Osaka, Imamiya Ebisu). Originally scheduled to open on July 18th, it was postponed due to the effects of the heavy rain in Western Japan. Finally, the shop is now open for business, offering onigirazu such as Tuna Mayo Rich for 200 yen, Smooth Okra and Lightly Seasoned Chicken Breast with Plum Dressing for 230 yen, Juicy Dashi Roll with Plenty of Bonito Flakes for 270 yen, Homemade Spicy Miso Beef and Colorful Vegetables Bibimbap for 270 yen, and Whole Luxurious Salmon with Flavorful Salted Kombu for 280 yen. Last time, it was the Juicy Dashi Roll with Plenty of Bonito Flakes for 270 yen. This time, it was the Whole Luxurious Salmon with Flavorful Salted Kombu for 280 yen.

In October, a specialty shop for onigirazu called "Nikoya" opened near Kizu Market. The shop has a stylish atmosphere. There are five types of onigirazu available, all for 1250 yen. They have a clean cross-section and are easy to eat without the rice sticking to the nori. The taste is decent, and while it may not be completely different from convenience store onigiri, the value for the price is there. It could be a good option for a gift or to impress foreign visitors in Kizu, especially considering its current low recognition.

I tried the "Beef and Vegetable Bibimbap Onigirazu" from "NICO-YA" and it was like a rice sandwich. This shop is a specialty onigirazu store located in Osaka's Shikitsu Higashi area (a bit of a walk from Imamiya Ebisu Station). The shop, located on the first floor of the Niconico Nori company building, has a showcase in the middle with onigirazu, a register next to it, and some packed side dishes displayed as well. The atmosphere is more like a high-end sweets shop, and the customers were mostly elderly. I bought the "Beef and Vegetable Bibimbap Onigirazu" this time. When I tried it, the bibimbap filling was spicy (it gets spicier as you eat) and goes well with the rice, with a good texture from the vegetables, very delicious. The nori comes separately from the rice in the pack (a bit more effort to prepare compared to convenience store onigiri, and you also get a set of instructions), giving a crispy texture if eaten right away or a softer one if left for a while. At 270 yen per piece, it's more expensive than convenience store onigiri, but considering the generous amount of filling, it's not exactly cheap but not overly pricey either. I also tried the "Sweet Rolled Omelette with Bonito Flakes," which offers a sweet taste and soft texture, allowing the flavors of the rice and nori to stand out. This one also costs 270 yen per piece, but compared to similar products seen in convenience stores, it does feel a bit expensive. There are a total of 5 types of onigirazu available, along with some side dishes and instant miso soup, so if you're curious about onigirazu, it might be worth a visit when you're in Imamiya Ebisu.

Stylish boxed rice balls with a mix of brown rice, making them healthy. The seaweed has a rich flavor, fitting for a high-quality seaweed. The fillings include okra and pickled plum, offering a variety of options and delicious taste. Definitely a hit with women!! It seems like they would sell well in department stores!!
