It was a non-smoking restaurant with an ashtray outside. There are table seats and counter seats available. There is one unisex restroom. The edamame was 280 yen and came in a generous portion. The warm egg Caesar salad was 730 yen and also had a generous portion. The grilled pork belly and bean sprouts with grated daikon ponzu sauce was 580 yen. The meat was a bit dry but the bean sprouts and grated daikon were delicious. The eggplant had a spicy miso spread on it. The motsu nabe (tripe hot pot) soy sauce was 1480 yen for a 2-person portion and was light in flavor. The motsu nabe spicy miso was also 1480 yen for a 2-person portion and was delicious! The spiciness was gentle. We also ordered additional toppings - champon noodles and zosui (rice porridge) set for 300 yen. The zosui made with the spicy miso broth was also delicious. It was a shame that there was only one type of sake available (Senkyaku Bankai), but I would definitely come back for the spicy miso motsu nabe here. Thank you for the meal!

My wife is not at home, so I decided to go out for a drink alone. I rarely have the chance to take advantage of the service at this restaurant that offers sour drinks for 100 yen from Monday to Wednesday, 4pm to 6pm, but today was the perfect opportunity! I arrived at the restaurant at 5:45pm on Monday and found it already bustling with about 10 people and three groups having a drink. I was seated at the counter with the condition that the food might take some time to be served. I decided to try something new that I had never eaten before. I ordered the following dishes: - Beef tongue toro (1080 yen): It was slightly frozen when served. After some trial and error, I found that lightly grilling both sides and topping it with sliced onions without wasabi was the best way to enjoy it. But it still couldn't beat the liver toro. - Hormone chapche (480 yen): It was delicious but could use a bit more kick. The portion was generous. - Maruchiku gobou (2 pieces for 380 yen): The grilling and seasoning didn't bring out the deliciousness of the maruchiku. I had a similar experience with the sweet and spicy beef maruchiku I had before. I hope they improve their maruchiku dishes! - Sour drinks (100 yen each) x2 - Mega highball (750 yen) - Appetizer (330 yen): They served delicious dishes promptly, so I finished my meal within an hour and left. Overall, it was a satisfying visit. They accept PayPay at Umakaken Fukuoka. Thank you for the meal!

Since early December last year, this was my fourth visit to the restaurant, this time for a solo drink. The counter seats only about three people, but there is enough space between seats, making it perfect for solo drinkers. The menu was updated in December, and it seems that prices have also been raised. Oh well! Here are the updated prices: - Korean-style salad: 480 yen - Beef liver sashimi: 680 yen - Ueda's grilled skewers (2 pieces, spicy miso): 600 yen - Sweet and spicy beef intestines: 680 yen (price unchanged) - Mega highball: 750 yen, Regular highball: 500 yen - Appetizer: 330 yen The menu this time was great, with no disappointments. I tend to stick to what I know, so no surprises there. The appetizer was also very well-prepared, which was nice. The beef liver sashimi always makes me feel happy, and the grilled skewers were consistently delicious, leaving me very satisfied. I can't eat anymore after that. The restaurant is always busy, as most people come in groups of 3-4 and order course meals. The courses are priced at 2,800 yen, 3,300 yen, and 3,800 yen, which is very reasonable, and they come with a generous amount of food, including hot pot. My total bill was 3,340 yen. They accept PayPay and the Umakaken Fukuoka card. Thank you for the meal!

"Alicia's Food Log: After moving nearby for 9 months, I finally got to visit this restaurant that was always fully booked. Initially seated at the counter, I was later moved to a table. Following recommendations, I ordered the liver trotter, which indeed was delicious and I wanted more. The motsunabe soup came with a choice of 4 types of salt and white miso, and the salt I chose was excellent. The motsu was large and chewy. I also tried the champon with both types of salt, and it paired well. The champon noodles were also very tasty. I am happy to live near this restaurant."

After the long Golden Week, I finally visited this restaurant alone on a weekday evening after 7 pm. I pass by the restaurant almost every day, so I wanted to visit sooner, but my wife isn't a fan of offal-related dishes. This place only serves offal hot pot and grilled offal in portions for two people or more. Upon researching, I found out that Ueda Shoten is located in Shingucho and is a significant company with an annual revenue of 3.5 billion yen. I was seated at a counter by the window, which was a single seat for one person, allowing for a spacious dining experience due to infection prevention measures. The previous customers were a group of about six middle-aged men who seemed to be classmates and a pair of women. Later, a group of about six colleagues entered, and the small restaurant was almost full. - Korean-style salad 380 yen - Ueda's grilled skewers 2 pieces with spicy miso 500 yen - Beef liver and tofu 580 yen - Sweet and spicy beef ball intestine grill 680 yen - Ocean Lucky Highball 380 yen x 3 The skewers were cut with scissors, which was very satisfying due to the sharpness of the scissors. The spicy miso was a good choice, and the highball was very enjoyable. I really wanted to try the liver and tofu, and it was delicious! However, the sweet and spicy beef ball intestine grill was a disappointment as it was too strong in flavor and the intestine seemed to be fried, unlike my expectations. Overall, I had a good impression of the restaurant with good value for money, so I would consider coming back. There are many other wagyu beef dishes I want to try, and I also want to try the grilled offal. I paid with PayPay, totaling 3,610 yen. Thank you for the meal!

Meat wholesale company's motsunabe restaurant - Chihaya "Ueda Shoten" Nearby motsunabe restaurant "Ueda Shoten" located in the neighborhood. It has been open in the midst of the pandemic for about a year, but we finally visited. Cheers with the family! The appetizer was simmered beef tail and other dishes, which were quite impressive as they are from a meat wholesale company. We enjoyed crispy fried chicken skin (380 yen) and horumon chapche (380 yen) with our second highball. The motsunabe was soy sauce flavored and served for two people - the white in the middle is collagen. The bouncy motsu was indeed impressive. After filling up the child with meat-wrapped rice balls (380 yen), we skipped the motsunabe finale. My partner and I were discussing what to eat at night, and since it had gotten cold, we decided on motsunabe. We went to a nearby motsunabe restaurant, but the table seats were fully booked, so we sat at the counter. It had been years since I last had motsunabe. We ordered a half spicy and half regular motsunabe. We also ordered grilled liver and cheese sticks as side dishes. It had been a while since I had liver with sesame oil, but it was a perfect combination. Delicious! The restaurant was clean, the food was tasty, and I would love to go back again.

First of all, the grilled skewers were delicious. Next, the raw liver was delicious, so much so that I wanted to order more. The tongue was also delicious, cooked halfway so the surface was slightly charred. I came to eat motsunabe, but the appetizers were so delicious that I am happy. I had been passing by this restaurant many times and had always wanted to try it. When my child said they wanted to eat motsunabe, I thought it was the perfect opportunity to finally go with my family. We ordered dishes like grilled liver, beef intestines, beef tongue sashimi, and motsunabe. The grilled liver was delicious and so cheap! Almost too cheap. The beef tongue sashimi was frozen but it was fine after grilling, and it was really tasty! The other dishes were just okay. It's a shame because the grilled liver and beef tongue sashimi were so good. Definitely try the grilled liver!

Although this restaurant specializes in motsunabe (offal hot pot), their skewers and other dishes were also delicious. If you're in the mood for meat, this is a great choice. The motsunabe comes in four flavors to choose from, and I tried the soy sauce and white miso. Both were excellent! Usually miso can taste strange when simmered, but this one actually tasted better. I want to try the spicy miso and salt flavors next time.

"I finally visited the 'Direct-operated store of meat wholesaler' that I have been curious about for a while. The menu was truly a meat lover's paradise. I started with the liver trowel, lightly grilled with pellets, and it was so delicious that it seemed to melt in my mouth. Of course, when it comes to meat, you have to go for the steak, so I splurged on a steak, which was also exquisite. The beef tongue skewers were on sale at a great price. Of course, at this price, the cost performance was excellent. I chose the spicy Yakiton. It's actually spare ribs, but it has a spiciness that goes well with beer. Finally, I tried the tripe hot pot that I had been looking forward to. You can choose from soy sauce, salt, miso, or spicy miso flavors, and this time I chose salt. I had never tried a tripe hot pot other than soy sauce flavor, but it was surprisingly delicious and refreshing. The hormone was chewy and delicious, and the fried burdock was tasty. The finishing champon noodles were chewy and maintained their chewiness until the end, making it delicious all the way through. Next time, I want to try the grilled tripe. The casual and welcoming atmosphere of the restaurant, like a casual izakaya, and the friendly staff made the experience even better. Every menu item was a hit, and I left completely satisfied.
