I bought a deep-fried sausage bun and 2 pieces of fried chicken for 442 yen. The sausage bun and fried chicken were not bad. However, I felt that the sausage in the bun was a bit mediocre because it used artificial casing. I thought it would be even more delicious if they used natural casing instead. Nevertheless, it was not unappetizing, so please do not misunderstand!

Opened in April this year in Shinokuri Town, this shop "Yakitate Pan Rokoroko" seems to have a popular curry bread. Located along the main street of Shinokuri Town, the Shinokuri Kaido, also known as Route 607 Fukuoka Shinokuri Line, you can easily spot it across from the ENEOS gas station. The shop is in a shared tenant space, and parking availability may not be clearly marked, but I was able to find parking in front of the shop when I visited. The shop has a simple yet decent eat-in space, and the female staff members were friendly. I purchased three items: 1) Beef Curry Bread - rich in flavor with curry and beef, 2) French Toast - a soft and eggy texture, and 3) Sausage Bread - a substantial and filling sausage bread. The beef curry bread had a good amount of curry filling, although it could have been distributed more evenly. The French toast was similar to a custard-style toast, and the Sausage bread was hearty with a well-seasoned sausage inside. Overall, the shop seems to excel in creating junk food-style bread, but could benefit from adding more unique flavors to stand out. Personal rating on food review platform: 3.2 stars.

A new bakery called "Rokoroko" has opened on the main street of Shinorugi. It seems to have a Hawaiian cafe concept. I remember a cafe nearby that used to sell curry bread at a very cheap price, so I was surprised that they have now opened a bakery. When I visited in the afternoon, there were only a few bread left, but I could hear them frying curry bread in the back. I decided to try a mini baguette (220 yen + tax) and a cranberry cheese bread (160 yen + tax). The shape of the mini baguette inspired me to make a Banh Mi sandwich with ham, boiled egg, and cilantro. It was delicious. It seems like the curry bread is now sold at a regular price. The bakery's name is Rokoroko, and it is located at 974-2 Otonu, Shinorugi, Kasuya District. Their opening hours are from 10:00 to 17:00.

This is a bakery that opened along a prefectural road in Sasaguri Town. On the opening day, it was unfortunately drizzling, but the store was packed as soon as it opened. When I visited, there were already several types of bread sold out. There was also an eat-in space inside where you could enjoy freshly baked bread. I chose four types of bread to take out. Curry bread for 220 yen. A curry bread with plenty of flavor and chunks of beef inside. Sausage bread for 180 yen. A voluminous fried bread wrapped around a large sausage. Salted butter mentaiko bread for 170 yen. A bread topped with mentaiko that goes perfectly with the salted butter. Apple custard for 200 yen. The only sweet bread I bought that day, with a gentle sweetness. The store is located along Prefectural Route 607.
