If you're looking to have breakfast in Fukuoka's Tenjin area, there is one clear choice. Especially the Morning Set C (700 yen) with the "Loaded Grilled Sandwich." Stacked with ham, lettuce, and thin slices of tomato. Beneath that, there's a cucumber laid on top of a boiled egg mixed with mayonnaise. The perfect spiciness adds an exquisite harmony to the sandwich. The lightly toasted bread adds a perfect crunch, making you devour it eagerly. This place is an old-fashioned coffee shop, not a cafe. It's a three-story old building tucked away in a corner of the arcade shopping street of Tenjin called Shintencho. By the way, I recently found out that there is not a single Uniqlo store in the Tenjin area right now. Despite being a commercial hub, there are no Uniqlo stores in Tenjin. On the other hand, there are three stores around Hakata Station. Currently, there is a redevelopment project called "Tenjin Big Bang" underway in Tenjin. Buildings like Fuku Building, Tenjin Core, Vivre, and IMS on the east side of Nishitetsu Fukuoka Station are being demolished and replaced with office buildings. They seem to be imitating the redevelopment of Marunouchi in Tokyo, but it's a tasteless city with no human touch. Although there is a dining area underground in the buildings, it's filled with chain stores that are seen everywhere. This makes it hard to enjoy walking around the city. In reality, shoppers, especially young people, have shifted to Hakata Station. Recently, a large-scale redevelopment plan was announced on the west side of Nishitetsu Fukuoka Station, and it was decided that Shintencho will disappear. They say they will bring back the stores of Shintencho on the ground floor of the new building, but by then, there will probably be no shoppers left in Tenjin. "Tenjin Big Bang" seems like it will be a major failure that will kill the city of Tenjin, leaving behind a historical mistake. Now, there are two other types of Morning Sets. The simple B set with toast, boiled egg, and a drink for 500 yen. The A set with scrambled bacon and eggs, salad, toast, and a drink for 630 yen. The A set is a classic morning set at a coffee shop and will also provide a high level of satisfaction. However, I highly recommend trying the C set at this restaurant. As soon as they open at 7:30 in the morning, people of all ages rush in, and the place quickly fills up, creating a scene of an old-fashioned coffee shop. I hope that this everyday scene that has been continuing for a long time will last for a long, long time. This text is from [Tokyo Totteoki!!].
