I always use this restaurant when I'm near the company branch and can't decide what to eat for the night. It has great taste, service, and a variety of delicious Fukuoka cuisine. It never disappoints, whether for a casual meal or entertaining business partners. It's always surprisingly not too crowded, despite being surrounded by other popular dining options in the area. The squid, sesame mackerel, and hot pot are all delicious. I'm actually planning to go there again today. Can't wait. And they have a great selection of shochu too.

I used this place for dinner in Hakata during my Kyushu trip. I ordered Mizutaki, Motsunabe, Goma Saba, sashimi of mackerel, and other drinks. I wanted to try both Motsunabe and Mizutaki here. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't particularly delicious either. Maybe next time I should go to a specialized restaurant, as they say you can't catch two rabbits at once.

I used the course with beef offal hot pot. The appetizers were like heart-shaped tofu, mentaiko, and potato salad, similar to the appetizers at a typical izakaya. The vinegar offal had a slightly refined taste with the umami of the offal coming through nicely. The sesame mackerel was as delicious as the sweet sesame soy sauce dressing, and the mackerel was very tasty. The chicken tempura was juicy and crispy, making it a very delicious tempura. The offal hot pot had a light soy sauce-based soup. The offal had little to no odor, but occasionally there were 1 or 2 pieces with a slight odor. It could be described as "offal with a refined taste". I wanted to try the live squid sashimi, but it was sold out. I made a reservation for 17:30 on a public holiday Thursday and when I arrived, it was quite crowded. Despite the crowd, I didn't have to wait long for service or orders, so it was comfortable.

On the first day in Fukuoka, I dropped by a restaurant to kill time before my reservation at 9 pm. I wasn't expecting much, but it turned out to exceed my expectations. I started with a lemon sour for a toast. Since I had another place to go later, I held back on ordering a draft beer. This being my first Fukuoka meal of the year, I ordered the classic motsunabe (tripe hot pot), horse liver sashimi, and fresh squid sashimi (market price). The motsunabe was seasoned with soy sauce, and the broth was delightful, warming me up in the chilly Fukuoka weather. The tripe was tender and not too heavy. Fukuoka truly is a gourmet city, and even regular restaurants here seem to offer a higher quality of food compared to Tokyo. The horse liver sashimi had a slightly chewy texture, different from the usual liver sashimi, which I found intriguing. As I chewed, a hint of a beastly aroma spread in my mouth, which I surprisingly enjoyed. The highlight of the meal was the fresh squid sashimi. I ordered the largest size available, and when it arrived at the table, it was so fresh that it was still moving. The restaurant's original sashimi soy sauce was so delicious that I couldn't stop eating. The squid had a crunchy texture, a hint of sweetness, and thanks to this meal, I now love squid. I am grateful for this new discovery. Lastly, you can choose between squid legs sashimi or fried squid. Be sure to try the sashimi with the restaurant's special soy sauce.

Fukuoka gourmet dishes are abundant in a course meal that is top-notch. A convenient and upscale izakaya. Located in Nakasu Kawabata, "Hakata Naginoki Nishi Nakasu" has a calm atmosphere with private and semi-private rooms, making it suitable for business dining. Tonight, we ordered the "Aritadori Mizutaki Course" for 4 people at 3500 yen, including all-you-can-drink! Affordable! The course includes appetizers, silky tofu, sesame mackerel, quail tempura, Mizutaki (chicken hot pot), udon noodles, and dessert. The quality and quantity at this price is cheap! We couldn't resist ordering the "Ikasashimi" from Yobuko, Saga Prefecture. The freshly prepared spear squid is transparent and sweet, pairing well with the rich Kyushu soy sauce. Of course, we had the leftover tentacles fried as tempura, which was delicious. Hakata's Mizutaki is a chicken hot pot simmered carefully for a long time. Following the tableside instructions, we first tried it with condiments and salt. It's truly delicious, just like the authentic one. Next, we dipped the chicken meat and meatballs in the chicken broth before enjoying them with homemade ponzu sauce. The richness of the chicken essence was delightful. The menu composition and price of this course meal left us very satisfied. Highly recommended for a short stay in Fukuoka.

I made a phone reservation and ordered a course over the phone before visiting the restaurant. Upon arrival, I added an all-you-can-drink option to my order. In addition to the course, I ordered lean horse sashimi, appetizers, soft tofu with sesame, grilled mackerel, tempura, and a dessert. The course progressed in that order, and I made my own sukiyaki at the table following the instructions provided. The food was delicious, and the staff was attentive, allowing me to leisurely enjoy my meal and drinks.

In Nishinakasu, there is a semi-private room called Hakata Naginoki Nishinakasu Hanare, located just across the street from the famous mentaiko rice bowl shop. Recommended dishes include motsunabe (offal hot pot) and sukiyaki. It's hot outside, so let's skip the hot pot for now. They also have confidence in their fish dishes, such as live squid sashimi. Today's companion prefers meat, so we focused on meat dishes. Since it was a drinking session, there are few pictures and information available. First, we had draft beer. For appetizers, we had Caesar salad, grilled chicken, and squid tempura. Although there are no pictures, all of them were delicious. The Caesar salad is always a safe choice. The grilled chicken was incredibly tender! The squid tempura came with a generous amount of salt for dipping. It makes for a great snack. For drinks, we had shochu mixed with water. We ordered additional food: Hakata one-bite dumplings, Inca Awakening potato fries, and Amakusa Daioh chicken wings. The one-bite dumplings were okay, but the Inca Awakening potato fries were surprisingly tasty! And the Amakusa Daioh chicken wings were huge with a lot of meat on them. They were very satisfying to eat. Finally, we had grilled Munakata beef loin as our meat finale. It was delicious! The restaurant was quite busy, but thanks to the semi-private room, we were able to enjoy our meal in peace, which was much appreciated during this time of year. Thank you for the meal!

"Naginoki Nishinakasu Hanare" in Nishinakasu, Fukuoka, is a popular izakaya where you can enjoy delicious Kyushu cuisine. I have used this place for a year-end party for 4 years in a row. The motsu in the motsu nabe is chewy and the broth is just to my liking. You can also enjoy fresh squid from Yobuko and have Mizutaki hot pot. For those who are greedy and want to try everything since they are in Hakata, this is the perfect restaurant. The Yobuko squid can be served as tempura.

Tonight, I finished work early so I decided to head to Nakasu! I was wandering around wondering what to eat, and then I stumbled upon this restaurant... I thought, why not give it a try! The atmosphere here is quite nice! The menu is very extensive with options like sesame mackerel, live squid sashimi, and even wagyu steak! They also had motsunabe, although I didn't try it. The variety of dishes here seems quite useful. I also enjoyed the drinks. By the way, the yuzu pepper at this restaurant is really excellent. I thought it was much better than just good.

There are no disappointments in the bars in Hakata. After being turned down for a few servings of squid sashimi due to poor squid fishing, we ended up here. Although the location is a bit off the beaten path from Nakasu, the place was bustling with customers, indicating its popularity. The squid sashimi was a bit on the smaller side, but the quality of Hakata was still evident. The sweetness of the marinated soy sauce combined with the sweetness of the squid was unlike anything I've had in Kanto. Everything else was delicious, but what surprised me the most was the Miyazaki Jidori charcoal-grilled chicken. I've had Kyushu-style chicken in Tokyo before, but this was completely different. The smokiness of the charcoal and the tenderness and umami of the chicken completely changed my perception of charcoal-grilled chicken. Miyazaki chicken is a specialty, but I'm glad I got to taste such delicious chicken in Hakata.

The seat I was guided to was a semi-private room near the entrance, so it was quite cold. It was convenient that you could order one portion of water hot pot. The udon noodles at the end were thin and had a decent firmness, which was delicious. ★
