It was a cake with just the right amount of sweetness made with sweet potatoes, and it was so delicious that I wanted to eat more. It was moist and tasty, and I was able to finish it all even after dinner. I didn't try the other cakes, but they were also said to be very delicious. I want to buy and try the other cakes next time! I randomly walked into a cake shop and bought a fruit-filled cake famous in Kansai, currently at a pop-up store in Shibuya Scramble Square. I purchased a cake with Shine Muscat grapes, mango, and peach. The top layer had large fruits, and there were plenty of fruits between the sponge layers. Located inside Nishi-Funabashi station, this shop seems to be popular for its fruit cakes. There was a line of more than 10 people, so I decided to take a look. The cakes and tarts looked very delicious. I couldn't resist and bought some early Christmas treats. I purchased the Amaou strawberry ganache frais (890 yen) and the Amaou strawberry mont blanc tart (890 yen). Both were filled with plenty of strawberries, making them colorful and appetizing. The appearance was great, and the cream and chocolate were very tasty. The tart crust was crispy and the chocolate sponge was moist. It was so soothing~♬ I paired it with dark roast coffee, but it would also go well with light roast coffee or tea.

It was the second day of my business trip to Osaka, which happened to be my wife's birthday. So, I went to the Hanshin Department Store in the morning to make a reservation for the Amaou tart and then went to work. In the evening, I picked up the tart. I put the cake in a cooler bag with 2 hours' worth of ice packs, but realized I needed more ice packs for the trip back to Tokyo. So, I stopped by 551 Horai in Shin-Osaka to get chilled pork buns and more ice packs, making sure to carefully carry the bag to avoid tipping. I then took the Shinkansen back to Tokyo, transferred to a local train, and finally brought the tart home after about 4 hours. It was quite a journey, but seeing the happy faces of my wife and our dog, it was all worth it. I can't wait to buy it again when I return to Osaka. It was really delicious. Thank you for the meal.

The Amawou here is known as the king of fruits, very sweet and not overshadowed by the cream. The tart crust has just the right amount of sweetness, making it the best cake.
