Located a 4-minute walk from Akasaka Station, this revolving sushi restaurant is situated in an area with various dining options. They offer nigiri sushi starting from 130 yen per plate (2 pieces), as well as reasonably priced seafood dishes. The quality of the oily fish, especially the saba (mackerel), is excellent, making it perfect for a casual drink and snack. Upon receiving a recommendation from a local deity in Roppongi for a place where you can easily enjoy goma saba (mackerel with sesame), I decided to visit this revolving sushi restaurant in Daimyo that operates from lunchtime. Upon entering at the opening time of 11:00, I immediately took a seat at the counter. The conveyor belt had not started moving yet, but my goal was the appetizers. I was particularly interested in the goma saba, but due to the season, I opted for a sashimi platter with horse mackerel, sardine, and horse mackerel. I also ordered a beer to go along with it. The "Blue Fish Platter" for 600 yen arrived, featuring fresh saba, sardine, and horse mackerel. The colors were vibrant, the fat content was high, and the deliciousness was devoid of any unpleasantness. Since the saba was in good condition, I also added the goma saba to my order. The "Goma Saba" for 600 yen consisted of diced raw mackerel mixed with white sesame seeds. Served with green onions, ponzu sauce, wasabi, and lemon, it was a refreshing and tasty dish. Feeling adventurous, I ordered a second beer. The nigiri sushi, starting from 130 yen per plate, had large toppings that were well-balanced, providing a hearty bite. The seasoning of the sushi rice was subtly sweet and sour, making it easy for children to enjoy. The nori on the gunkan sushi was flavorful, enhancing the experience of the raw whitebait. By around 11:30, more customers began to arrive, including many mothers with children. The tables quickly filled up, and the restaurant appeared to be bustling. It is recommended to arrive early for lunch.
