I suddenly felt like having a drink alone, so I stopped by on my way home from work. My first impression upon entering the restaurant was that the staff seemed quite young. The atmosphere inside was a bit more formal than expected for an izakaya, giving off a slightly uptight vibe. I wondered if it was a bit extravagant for a solo drink...? However, I sat at the counter. The drink menu was extensive, with about 8-10 different types of lemon sours alone, making it difficult to choose. Intrigued by the name, I ordered the "Electric Lemon Sour." - Electric Lemon Sour: It had a refreshing taste with a hint of lemon and a strong carbonation kick. However, I couldn't quite tell what made it "electric" compared to other lemon sours without trying them side by side. It was delicious and refreshing, so I quickly finished it along with some food. The menu had many unique items, so I decided to try a few. - Cold Spinach Salad: The salad consisted of cold spinach, salad kale, purple daikon, and a light dressing with sliced garlic. The sweetness of the cold spinach was delightful, and the slight bitterness of the kale balanced it out perfectly. The server mentioned that they used kale directly sourced from the producer, showing their commitment to quality ingredients. Although the portion was a bit large for one person, I managed to finish it. It was delicious and paired well with the drinks. - Live Scallop Sashimi: Being a fan of sashimi, I ordered this dish. The scallop was firm and sweet, making it very enjoyable. I had already started my second drink, "Sakura Shiranami," which paired nicely with the sashimi. - 180-Second Expiration Date Iron Plate Rolled Omelette: I was intrigued by the name, which indicated that the dish needed to be eaten quickly to enjoy it hot and fresh. It was a dish meant for sharing, and although the portion was a bit large, I managed to finish it. The flavor was rich, with a luxurious taste of dashi and bonito flakes. - Sakura Shiranami: My second drink was a "Sakura Shiranami," served on the rocks with a crisp taste. It was easy to drink and had a light aftertaste, making it a good choice for a pleasant evening. Overall, I was very satisfied with my experience. The restaurant had a sense of cleanliness and sophistication, making it suitable for work gatherings as well. When going for a solo drink, it would be helpful to review the menu a bit more before ordering. Thank you for the delicious meal!

On a regular night at 9 PM, I went to the classic restaurant "Umizakura." It had been a while since I last visited when it was still called "Yasai Sakura." The atmosphere inside the restaurant was still the same, bright and with friendly staff. The complimentary dish was oden, priced at 299 yen, which was very affordable. It would be better if the menu had photos of the dishes because it was hard to remember everything just by reading the descriptions. The staff recommended the Sakura trout fry, so I decided to try that as well. I was surprised that it was a fried dish. Since it was Umizakura, I wanted to try a dish with fresh seafood, so I ordered the sashimi of fresh fish. When I left the restaurant, the staff saw me off all the way to the entrance of the elevator inside the restaurant. When I arrived on the first floor, all the staff were waiting for me! It seemed like I was the last customer, so they hurried down from the third floor before the elevator arrived. And they were all wearing short sleeves despite the cold weather! With their cheerful attitude, it was a great way to leave the restaurant. If you want to lift your spirits, this is a great restaurant to visit. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

In between JR and subway, not far from Susukino, there is a stylish and surprising seafood restaurant called Umi Sakura San. They offer a variety of high-quality drinks at a slightly expensive price, with the option for all-you-can-drink as well. I recommend trying their Kinmiya Genmai Green Tea Highball for 540 yen, which becomes more cost-effective after the first drink. Their food menu includes delicious dishes like Oden and Cherry Salmon Fry, which are light and crispy. I also enjoyed their fresh and flavorful Carpaccio made with "Shimazoi" fish. Overall, the dishes may be a bit pricey, but the quality and satisfaction are worth it.

Sapporo city's various stores are always lively and bustling! Of course, Sapporo Classic draft beer is delicious, but the original sours and cocktails are also surprisingly tasty. If you keep drinking the recommended colorful drinks, by the time you pay the bill, you might find yourself feeling a bit tipsy like a lively middle-aged man. The staff always provide energetic service, even if you're dining alone, which is impressive. They are willing to customize the menu items if possible, which is greatly appreciated. I ordered various dishes focusing on September's monthly ingredients. The chanchan-yaki cooked right in front of me was a standout with its volume and the taste of Hokkaido. The sweet miso sauce caramelizing on the grill was irresistible. When I asked if they could make a final dish, they happily prepared yakisoba, which was also incredibly delicious. The garlic rice made with the leftover oil from the garlic bits was a hit as well. I also tried the autumn salmon fish & chips and the sweet red bean cream cheese, which were both delicious. Overall, Sakura in Kotoni is definitely in great shape, with the energetic staff and the fun send-off at the end. The Ozoneiko dash was a big hit and quite surprising. Goodbye, see you again. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

Today, I went out for drinks with a close friend and we decided to come to the nightlife area of Konoe after a long time. When it's just the two of us drinking, the focus is usually on the drinks rather than the food, but since it had been a while, we decided to pay a little attention to the food as well. We were looking for a place to eat and drink without much fuss, but then we saw a sign outside a restaurant that boldly said "We won't let you go to Susukino anymore," so we decided to have our meal and drinks there. The restaurant was located on the third floor of a building and the interior was brightly lit, almost like it was about to close. Personally, I found the lighting a bit too bright and it didn't feel very relaxing. We checked the menu to see if there was anything we really wanted but couldn't find anything in particular. So, we decided to order a highball and take our time choosing our food. We were served a cucumber pickled in a shallow dish as a complimentary appetizer. However, the cucumber was served with a chopstick stuck in it, which made for quite an impactful visual presentation. Unfortunately, the cucumber itself was a bit soggy, with the surface looking a bit dried out. This made us lose our appetite for anything fancy, so we ended up ordering the usual edamame, buttered corn, and "negima" (green onion skewers). We were expecting the "negima" to be covered in a lot of green onions since it was called "negima," but the amount of green onions was not enough to really emphasize it. Overall, we were a bit disappointed with the restaurant and felt like we had encountered a place that didn't live up to the bold claim of "We won't let you go to Susukino anymore" on the sign. In the end, it seems like we'll definitely be going to Susukino next time.

It is a seafood izakaya that resembles a traditional Japanese inn. They serve a seafood platter called "Sakura Mori" which is full of fresh sashimi. They also have a variety of appetizers like dashi tamago, all of which are delicious. They offer a wide selection of sake, and the staff will explain the different types of sake to you. It's a great place to enjoy a lot of seafood.

In conclusion (personal opinion), I think this restaurant is suitable for people who like lively places and are easygoing. For those who prefer a focus on seafood and a calm atmosphere/customer service, it may be worth considering carefully. Low points: - Sitting at the counter, the kitchen was right in front of me, and the cooking oil splattered on my face and seat. It felt dangerous. - After being seated and ordering drinks, the server brought the drinks and immediately said, "I want to explain the dishes, so let's cheers first." It felt like a forced toast, ignoring our timing. It was a shocking service. Ordered items: - Beer... 600 yen (tax included) - Spring herring and monkfish liver namero... 750 yen (tax included) - Dashi tamagoyaki... 650 yen (tax included) - Chicken thigh soy sauce zangi (4 pieces)... 650 yen (tax included) - Horse meat yukke... 1,050 yen (tax included) - Sashimi... 1,800 yen (tax included) - Sakura assortment (2,000 yen) Other notes: - The staff were all quite young and seemed inexperienced. - The customers were mostly loud and boisterous, with a mix of younger and older people. - The atmosphere was nostalgic, with some customers having tattoos and giving off a strong vibe. - The seafood was not as fresh or skillfully prepared as expected for the prices. - The restaurant may appeal to those who enjoy the lively atmosphere, but it didn't suit my expectations for good seafood and a normal dining experience. Overall, it was a rare and disappointing experience for me, but it might appeal to others. It's a good option for those looking for a less crowded place during busy times like Golden Week and Saturdays. Best of luck to the restaurant in these challenging times.

My friend made a reservation for me during the busy year-end and New Year period, and I was surprised by the dedication to sashimi at the restaurant. The taste of the tachipon was amazing. The quality of the all-you-can-drink option was also great. The young and motivated staff members were a plus. I thought to myself, "There are good restaurants in Konoe too."

Hang in there, Kaio Sakura Kotoni store! Thank you for always taking care of us! However, due to persistent corona-related restrictions, normal operations have been affected. As a result, the store has started offering takeout. I purchased two different seafood bowls and took them home. At first glance, it may look like a bowl full of eggs, but unlike the ones filled with cucumber and pickled ginger, this one had large slices of sashimi arranged on top. Surprisingly, it was quite filling and delicious!

Around February 2020, every last Sunday of the month was Bingo day at this place♪ On that day, two men and women (lol) would bring their Bingo cards they had previously gotten and the cards for that day, and the Bingo event would begin~! (lol) Unfortunately, no luck~! (^-^ゞ So, all that was left to do was eat and drink (^^) Cheers with Mega Oolong tea and Green Tea Highball♪ And then a sashimi platter♪ This is their specialty! (lol) I found out that Akira-kun, who was helping out in the kitchen, is going to start his own business. Don't know when or where but ( *´艸`)ウププ

First customer of the night (sweat). From a woman who was drinking with a man on Tanuki Koji, I received a message around 9pm (sweat) saying, "I want to go home." She didn't want to become a taxi refugee tonight, so she was trying to go by car (laughs). I picked up the woman who had abandoned the man on Tanuki Koji and in the car, she said she wanted to go to another place (^^; I'm sober here! I'll order sashimi and shrimp mayo to eat! There's always someone who orders expensive ikura soy sauce marinated (^^; I won't eat and just sleep :(;゙゚'ω゚'): What's with this all-you-can-eat situation!? ┐(-。ー;)┌ Yareyare, that's it! I'm getting used to this pattern now (^艸^) Upupu.

Are you busy today? Even though you know Totoron is always free, you're still considerate in your messages, haha. So, here's a simple one for you. This place is a restaurant that serves sashimi♪ So, this time we'll have a sashimi platter for 3 people. Let's also get a hand roll set. And I'll order some shrimp mayo too because I like it. The customer service here is really good, so I can come alone or with a pretty lady anytime, as many times as I want (*^^)v

I'm alone in Sapporo and staying in Kotoni for work. The job was in Ishikari. Hotels in Sapporo are expensive, so I thought of finding a cheaper option and ended up in Kotoni. But it's still expensive! Since I ended up in Kotoni, I decided to go drinking there. The fourth place I went to was "Umizakura," a place I had always wanted to visit. When I got off the elevator, I found the restaurant right there. I was asked to wait for 5 minutes even though there were empty seats. I ordered a beer, but it wasn't poured nicely. I also ordered a sashimi platter for 580 yen. The place was crowded with young people, and there was a strong smell of cigarettes. The sashimi portions were surprisingly small, especially the scallops. The live octopus was good, but the flounder was not so great in texture. Overall, the restaurant was not for me, but some dishes were enjoyable.

I attended a banquet at this restaurant. It was crowded as usual, but the staff were friendly. The crab miso hot pot soup was delicious with the melted crab miso. The ramen for the finale was excellent. Of course, the sashimi, fried chicken, and grilled eggplant salad were also delicious, and I was very satisfied with the banquet. The tomato juice was incredibly tasty and has antioxidant properties, so I drank it in between alcohol. Overall, it was a great banquet experience.

I have been a customer of the Sakura Group since the Sakura Chops era. I used to frequent 24-Jo and Miyako Dori, especially after I started drinking more. Recently, I invited some friends for drinks in Kotoni at "Umisakura," which was my first visit to this location. We opted for the 90-minute all-you-can-drink sour and highball option. I started with highballs but ended up sticking to frozen lemon sours, which were refreshing as the lemon slowly melted in the drink. The all-you-can-drink option allowed us to enjoy our drinks without limits. As for the food, the Yezo Mountain Sashimi Platter was delicious with fresh fish and generous portions. The hand-rolled sushi set was also a hit. I also tried the fire-roasted firefly squid, which was a unique delicacy. The shrimp with mayo sauce had a slightly strong acidity, but the shrimp itself was plump and tasty. The seared Hokkaido octopus was a highlight with a performance of torching it right in front of us, bringing out the sweetness of the octopus. Although not on the menu, they made a dashimaki tamago for us, which was salty and flavorful. The grilled beef heart steak was recommended by the staff and was moist and healthy. The lively atmosphere of the restaurant, even on a weekday, was impressive, with friendly and energetic staff members. The birthday celebration we witnessed was heartwarming, with the message "Thank you for being born." It made me feel nostalgic and grateful. With good value for money, I would definitely visit this restaurant again for a night out in Kotoni. Thank you for the meal!

Suddenly called out (sweat) the two of us headed over here♪ Only counter seats were available, but the table seats were all full due to reservations, so we ended up at the counter (lol). Of course, we ordered a sashimi platter for two♪ As always, the portions are huge and fresh♪ Our second daughter, who loves pickles, ordered pickles while drinking a green highball, and Totoron's favorite is shrimp mayo♪ We also ordered lar sa la, seafood rice bowl, shiokara, and uni to finish off the meal. This is always the case, but the uni is incredibly delicious! By the way, when did Totoron become so sweet?? lol

During the G.W. holiday evening, I headed to Kotoni for a stroll. I visited "Umi Sakura," a place that had caught my eye before. When I got off the elevator on the third floor of the building, I was warmly greeted with "Welcome!" The course started with taro surimi and dashi, a small but well-made dish that could easily be served in a high-class Japanese restaurant. The drink was "All-you-can-drink BEER with one glass" for 1,480 yen per course x 2. The first drink was beer, followed by frozen lemon sour, just the middle, just the middle, ice and just the middle, and finishing with cold Yatagarasu. My wife stuck to highballs after the beer. The sashimi platter, slightly more expensive than before at 490 yen per serving x 2, was served with five varieties on this day: octopus, scallop, tuna, salmon, and surf clam. The freshness was as rumored, very satisfying, although the portion size was a bit lacking. The chicken skewers and gizzards lacked a special feeling, but the saltiness was just right. The crab miso ramen for 880 yen had a rich and delicious soup with a seafood flavor of crab miso and plenty of crab meat, which my wife quite liked. In addition to the taste of the food, the energetic and polite service of the staff is also a selling point of this restaurant. Throughout the restaurant, there are riddles and quiz problems posted to keep customers entertained, making it feel like a "small amusement park." The bill came to about 7,000 yen, and on the way out, we were given candy and even lent an umbrella because it started raining. Such thoughtful service that comes naturally is something customers will greatly appreciate. I'm sure more regulars will continue to increase at this great restaurant, and I look forward to visiting again. Thank you for the meal.

Due to some circumstances, I visited the Kaisakura Kotoni store two nights in a row. Since I came by car, I opted for non-alcoholic drinks. When I come here, I always get the sashimi platter. This time, I focused on the food, so I received a hand roll set. Since I find hand rolls a bit troublesome, I put the rice in a small dish, tore the seaweed, sprinkled it on top, added all the sashimi from the platter, and made a mini seafood bowl. The shrimp was surprisingly small and not suitable for sashimi. It looks presentable with the head on, but there's not much to eat once you peel it. I enjoyed the taste of the shrimp mayonnaise sauce and the perfect saltiness of the zangi. For some reason, I also ended up drinking coffee.

This is my third visit. The food here is delicious, and it's also a great place for surprises. The customer service is excellent. First, we toasted with the excellent beer. Cheers to the cute girl! The all-you-can-drink option here is great because you can choose from beer drinkers, non-drinkers, or those who just want a toast beer. The appetizer, something with cod, was incredibly delicious. The grilled beef tongue is seared right in front of you! The sashimi at Kaisakura is delicious and huge! The tofu with grated radish and mustard was also very tasty. We drank and chatted a lot, and then I looked up and saw... a "Congratulations on your enrollment, Ryuto!" sign on the lamp! I was so happy and touched by this surprise! The person was also very pleased. The food is delicious, the service is great, I will definitely come back again!

The second daughter Azusa moved to Konoe and immediately called to be taken somewhere. When it comes to Konoe, it has to be Kaisakura! The sashimi is huge and cheap! If you love sashimi, this place is more than enough (*^^)v. It used to be 390 yen for one serving, but it's now 490 yen. Still, I think it's cheap. However, other menu items are a bit more expensive, so you need to order wisely to avoid a high bill. The sashimi platter this time had huge bonito, big salmon, and thick bluefin tuna! The texture of the crab legs and head is different, and I love the fresh scallops and spring herring. This alone costs around 1,000 yen, which is normal. The uni gyu is also recommended. The potato salad and zangi are tasty, but they can't beat the sashimi. Azusa really liked this place. She enjoyed the food, but she also liked the atmosphere created by the manager Yoshiki and the staff.
