A retro Showa-era style yakiniku restaurant where you can wear clothes that won't mind the smell! I went around 8 PM on Sunday, so some meats were sold out. I didn't like the tongue, but the other meats were tender and delicious. ☺️

I entered the restaurant around 5 pm to avoid the crowded hours. There was only one female customer in the store at that time. The place had a retro feel with an old-fashioned gas roaster, making me feel like I had traveled back to the Showa era. An elderly couple was working together. I ordered a draft beer and then selected ribeye, skirt steak, liver, and salted tongue from the menu posted on the wall. The dishes arrived quickly, with the tongue being served raw, which is quite rare nowadays due to the prevalence of frozen meat. I started by grilling the tongue with salt and squeezing some lemon over it. It was fresh and delicious, just as I had expected. I continued grilling the other cuts of meat, such as the ribeye (which was more like short ribs in the Kanto region), the skirt steak, and the liver, all of which looked fresh and appetizing. I ordered a chu-hi after finishing my draft beer. More customers started to arrive as it got later. Although I was still quite full, I decided to end my meal there. The total bill came to 5,250 yen, which was a bit high due to the use of fresh meat, but the quality was definitely worth it. This restaurant, full of Showa-era charm, is a gem. Attracted by the smoke, I entered a retro-style restaurant run by an elderly couple. It was already past 5 o'clock, but they had sold out of harami (skirt steak). I was satisfied with just the regular salted tongue! The regular sirloin was also delicious! Many people were ordering liver and uterus! The hormone dishes looked delicious, so I would like to try them again!

On a holiday night around 6 o'clock, I visited a popular yakiniku restaurant that I had expected to be crowded, but to my surprise, the interior was spacious with a few empty seats at the counter. I ordered Mino (beef stomach) in broth, Harami (skirt steak), Marushin (beef tongue), Garlic Akasen (beef ribs with garlic sauce), and a large bottle of beer for a total of 4,750 yen. The Mino in broth was small in size but generous in portion, with a great texture and delicious taste. The Harami was simple yet tender and had a flavor that could become addictive. The Marushin, which is rare in casual yakiniku restaurants, lacked elegance but had a good tenderness and taste. The Garlic Akasen, with just garlic sauce, started to feel heavy halfway through. It might be suitable for garlic lovers. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was surprisingly cozy, so I would like to visit again.

The place had a nostalgic atmosphere with friendly staff. We arrived at 6 pm and the garlic tongue was already sold out. We ordered a platter of assorted hormones, harami, rosu, and garlic heart, all of which were delicious. The sauce here was to my liking. We had a few drinks and the bill came out to less than 5000 yen per person. I would like to visit again.

The Osaka drinking tour is coming to an end, with a visit around 4 pm. I decided to try a yakiniku restaurant based on its appearance on Tabelog, and it turned out to be a great choice. The interior of the restaurant had a traditional feel with clean tatami floors. I started with a lemon sour for a toast. The elderly couple running the place were very welcoming, especially the lady who served us was polite and had a warm personality. We ordered raw intestine, assorted hormone meats, and offal. The yakiniku sauce was delicious, with finely chopped green onions adding a refreshing touch. The raw intestine was fresh and crunchy, and the assorted hormone meats had a great variety and were full of flavor. The offal was tender and flavorful, particularly the lean meat which was exceptionally delicious. The restaurant was almost full by the time we finished, showing its popularity. The food, atmosphere, and service were all top-notch at this place.

◎Osaka City Minami Namba Night Yakiniku and Drinking◎ To enjoy yakiniku and drinks, I walked about 5 minutes south from Nipponbashi Station to "Rakurotei Nipponbashi" restaurant. I have been to Rakurotei in Namba a few times, but this was my first visit to the one in Nipponbashi! On this day, I had delicious yakiniku, horumon, raw intestine, namul, kimchi, egg soup, and more, filling my stomach and enjoying drinks. In late December 2019, as the year comes to an end, I found a retro-style yakiniku restaurant called "Rakurakutei" in Nipponbashi, Osaka. The atmosphere inside was like stepping back in time to the Showa era, with a lot of local regular customers. I ordered the "Horumon assorted set" with heart, techan, mino, and maruchou, along with a large rice and a large bottle of beer. The meat was fresh and the yakiniku sauce was delicious. The rice was cooked perfectly and paired well with the meat. Overall, the meal was tasty and the prices were reasonable. I would definitely come back to try the "Tsurami Garlic" next time.

The Showa. A yakiniku restaurant run by an elderly couple. Time passes slowly here. We started with a draft beer and beef tongue. The beef tongue was thin but of excellent quality, tender and juicy. We also ordered some lean meat, which had just the right amount of marbling. We requested the harami (skirt steak) with salt, as the sauce seemed a bit too tangy for our liking. The salted harami was exquisite. Eating yakiniku while being enveloped in smoke really gets you excited. The prices were reasonable and we left fully satisfied. Next time, we want to try the horumon (offal). A yakiniku restaurant with a nostalgic Showa era atmosphere. We definitely want to come back to this place.

In the evening, I met up with friends for our annual year-end tradition of having yakiniku. This time, we went to "Rakurotei" in Nihonbashi, a smoky Osaka-style restaurant. We started with salted tongue, which was full of flavor. Then we had loin, harami, and belly, all cooked to perfection even with the regular quality. We also enjoyed kimchi, namul, upper mino, and tetchan. After eating and drinking so much, it came out to around 4000 yen per person. The cost performance was excellent.

I felt like eating yakiniku and decided to visit "Rakuraku-tei," a restaurant I had been curious about for a while. It was my first visit since they had just opened, and as time passed, more and more customers arrived, filling up the place. The dishes I had were salted tongue, premium belly, harami (skirt steak), teppan (beef tongue), garlic tsurami (marinated meat), medium rice, draft beer, and highball. Everything was delicious, but the garlic tsurami, with its finely minced garlic, was especially tasty. The cost performance was good too. This yakiniku restaurant is definitely worth a visit.

If it's cheap, annoying young people gather! If it's a bit stylish and good value, girls gather!? (^^;; Today, I felt like drinking at a place where neither of those types are present, so I came here alone for yakiniku (laughs). The customers are all white-haired gentlemen in their 70s who probably used to work hard in the past. It's fine~ it's fine~ (⌒▽⌒) The ones with white hair seem to lack sexual desire and ponder a lot!? The ones with thinning hair seem to have a strong sexual desire and don't ponder much!? *Just my own random criteria (laughs). Without any conversation, just listening to the sound coming from the TV while devouring meat! This was my first visit to a restaurant near Namba Takashimaya, and the sauce here was completely different. The interior of the restaurant had an L-shaped counter with about 5 four-person tables. It was quite crowded on a weekday evening at 7 o'clock. Since the table was not available, I managed to find a spot at the counter with the help of the staff. I wondered if there was a menu, but there were many strips of paper posted on the wall. The chef and an older lady seemed to be the only ones working, and they were quite busy. After a while, the chef apologized for the delay and asked what we would like to order. The rice was out, so they were going to cook some more. We started with chicken liver and salted tongue... The gas roaster was lit, and they served us raw liver with vinegar miso sauce and meat sauce. The vinegar miso had a slightly strong vinegar taste, while the meat sauce was different and delicious. It seemed like this place was different from the other shop with the same name. The raw liver was delicious, the salted tongue had a good texture and flavor, and the harami (skirt steak) was incredibly tender and flavorful. We also tried a few other items, but they were all so delicious that I forgot to take pictures. The restaurant was full, and it had a charming old-fashioned atmosphere. I became a fan of this place. There were some foreign travelers waiting at the entrance, so we paid and gave up our seats to them. Despite the language barrier, we managed to exchange a heartfelt "thank you" at the end, which left me feeling good as I moved on to the next drink. Thank you for the meal.

I was drawn in by the retro atmosphere. The counter was full, but there was one empty seat at the end. I ordered rose meat and beef tripe. The rose meat was like upper ribs. No wonder it's popular.

I finally visited an old-fashioned yakiniku restaurant that I had been curious about. Even though it's a traditional yakiniku restaurant, the table seats have built-in grills. The meat was all tender and delicious. After eating a lot of meat, I ordered bibimbap for dessert, and they asked if they should make it in a small portion for two people. The sauce was a bit lacking in flavor, but I still liked it. The atmosphere is welcoming and easy for even one person to dine in, so I would like to go back again.

The atmosphere of the restaurant is traditional and cozy. Eating harami with rice is the best. Hormone is also a good match for beer, and it's easy to go alone. The small plates are just right for a small group. It's a great place to stop by for some yakiniku and rice after dining at other restaurants.

My daughter wanted to go to a yakiniku restaurant, so our family of three visited. The atmosphere at the restaurant was exciting. It was a shame that they didn't have tongue, but everything we ate was delicious. The bibimbap was so delicious that I couldn't believe how good it was. We will definitely come back again.
