When I travel, I always look forward to visiting cafes in the area. This time, I was in Fukuoka Prefecture, known for its many cafes that even cafe enthusiasts are interested in. While looking for a place to have lunch and a nearby cafe to visit, I came across a cafe that had caught my eye before. Excited, I went there and found myself in front of the cafe before it opened, watching cats in a nearby park. When I returned, there were already 5 or 6 people waiting in line, but luckily I managed to get in on the first round.
The cafe is called Sof Coffee, located between Ropponmatsu Station and Beppu Station. The area around it is quite peaceful, with residential buildings around. The interior of the cafe is not very spacious, with a counter and tables, so it may not be suitable for large groups. The coffee at this place is delicious, although I'm not particularly good at describing coffee, I apologize. But I often see their drinks on social media.
One of their popular drinks is the Cafe Mocha for 600 yen. It's a cafe latte with espresso and milk, topped with a generous swirl of chocolate. The bitter sweetness is so inviting, and I really enjoyed it, even though I'm not a big coffee drinker. They brew each cup carefully, so it may take a bit of time, but the leisurely pace is quite pleasant. I also had their classic pudding for dessert, which was firm and not too sweet, with a nice balance of caramel.
As there was a line forming outside, I reluctantly decided to leave. I wished I could have stayed a bit longer, but it's important to be considerate of others waiting. Fukuoka always has so many places I want to visit, and I had a great time once again. I look forward to coming back here next year! Thank you for the meal.
