Today, I visited a popular yakitori restaurant in Osaka that has been selected as one of the top 100 restaurants on Tabelog. The owner, who trained under the master at Torisho Ishii, has opened this restaurant. I made a reservation for a table at 8:10 pm and arrived to find the place bustling with customers. I ordered the 8-skewer course and a side dish of fried chicken wings. I started with a beer and then switched to cold sake. The dishes I enjoyed were as follows: - Appetizers: tofu and cabbage salad - Wasabi-grilled chicken tenderloin: perfectly cooked and tender - Negima (chicken and leek skewers): juicy and flavorful - Bonjiri (chicken tail): delicious and tender - Marunankotsu (round chicken bone): spicy and flavorful - Fried chicken wings: similar to Peking duck, crispy and tasty - Heart, tsukune (chicken meatballs), liver: all cooked perfectly without any unpleasant flavors - Additional skewers: quail eggs with soy sauce and white radish, tsunagi (chicken neck meat), chicken breast with wasabi: all cooked to perfection The skewers were all amazing, thanks to the master's exceptional grilling skills. The service was efficient, with minimal interaction but still accommodating. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience.

Overall, the small but carefully prepared skewers were all delicious. In particular, the triangle (chicken tail) was plump, sweet, and full of collagen. It felt like eating yakiniku hormone. The heart was also tender, and the wings were fried slowly until the skin was crispy and the meat was fluffy. As mentioned in some reviews, the salt was a bit strong, so it tasted salty to me.

Located just a short walk from JR Tozai Line's Shin-Fukushima Station, there is a renowned restaurant that has received the Michelin award for 7 consecutive years. Many famous restaurants that have opened after training here, such as Torisho Ishii, ranked 3rd in the country for yakitori, have trained at this establishment. To start, they serve a complimentary dish of cabbage and tofu. Enjoying a light beer while waiting, the first skewer was a wasabi-grilled chicken tenderloin, with a gentle flavor enhanced by the broth and perfectly cooked. The second skewer was negima, incredibly juicy with a crispy skin and a perfect match with the green onions. The third skewer was sankaku, also known as bonjiri, with a fluffy and chewy texture. The fourth skewer was nankotsu, with crunchy cartilage surrounding juicy meat. The fifth skewer was zuri, with a delightful texture and great flavor from the quality of the ingredients and cooking. The sixth skewer was hatsu, offering a good balance of elasticity and flavor. The seventh skewer was tsukune, a delicious chicken meatball that truly showcases the quality of the chicken. Lastly, the liver skewer, a crucial dish in yakitori that reflects the pride and direction of the restaurant. While it was delicious, it was slightly overcooked. Overall, it was a tasty meal, but the saltiness was a bit strong. The skill and experience in cooking the skewers were evident. I look forward to visiting again.

The yakitori I have eaten before can be considered as yakitori, while the one I had here can be called "go-yakitori". The careful attention to the cooking temperature, saltiness, and seasoning truly brought out the deliciousness of the chicken. The use of mobile phones was prohibited, which could be interpreted as either not using them for calls or not using them at all. Regardless, not using them at all allowed me to truly enjoy the meal for the first time in a while.

The freshness of the chicken was not a problem at all and very delicious, but the seasoning on the yakitori was quite salty so I recommend shaking off some salt before eating. The quality of the chicken is great, so I wish the seasoning was a bit lighter. By the way, I recommend the thick fried tofu!

I had always wanted to go to Torisho Ishii, a roots yakitori restaurant that I had been thinking about for a long time. Even though I had been to Ishii, I hadn't been to Torisho Ishii, so I felt like I had to go. It was a sudden attack, but I finally went. This place has been listed in the Michelin Guide for 11 consecutive years as a top restaurant on Tabelog. I tried the 10 skewers course for 3,500 yen. The wasabi grilled skewer was moist and rare, and the portion of negima (chicken thigh with green onions) was huge and flavorful. The pork belly skewer was sweet and savory, and the seared chicken tenderloin was tender and juicy. The triangular chicken tail skewer was sweet and delicious, and the grilled cartilage had a nice texture and spiciness. The grilled gizzard skewer was gently seasoned with sansho pepper, and the grilled heart skewer was a reliable choice. The meatball skewer with cartilage inside was tasty, and the liver skewer was well-cooked and had no unpleasant smell. Additionally, I tried the chicken wing tempura, which was a must-try item, and the chicken tenderloin with grated daikon and ponzu sauce, which was light and refreshing. My top three favorites were the chicken tenderloin, chicken tenderloin with ponzu sauce, and chicken wing tempura. The cost performance was excellent, the grilling speed was fast, and the atmosphere was great. I made a reservation about a week in advance, and it was always fully booked every day. Personally, I loved the chicken tenderloin so much that I would like to have 8 skewers of it and 5-6 skewers of whatever I feel like that day. I recommend trying it out!

I ordered the skewer course for 2,700 yen, which included wasabi-yaki, salted leek, salted triangle, salted cartilage, spiced gizzard, salted heart, salted meatball, liver with sauce, and sauce. Also, I got the fried chicken wings for 400 yen and Jumping Oolong tea for 600 yen. Thank you for the delicious meal! Thank you, Ayamu-ya!

You can enjoy delicious yakitori in a calm and stylish atmosphere. The quality is high but not intimidating. Each skewer is beautifully grilled and the taste and cooking are superb. There's nothing to complain about the delicious yakitori you can have here. It's too early for someone like me to comment. The only downside is that it's difficult to make a reservation. Thank you for the meal. It was delicious. I want to eat it again.

Delicious yakitori! We started with the 8-piece omakase course at a Michelin-starred restaurant. We entered as soon as they opened, and within 30 minutes, the place was full. Each skewer was carefully grilled and consistently delicious. Thank you!

I wanted to visit a yakitori restaurant in Fukushima since I came to Osaka. I tried to go a few times without a reservation, but it was always full. This time, I made a reservation about a month in advance and was able to go. I ordered individual skewers of classic yakitori dishes, and they were all amazing. The chicken breast and chicken tenderloin were especially delicious. I heard you can only have two skewers of tenderloin per person. They were perfect when eaten with salt. The yakitori was top-notch. I don't have any photos, but the sweet potato fries were also delicious. I'm glad I was able to come. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

On the way back from the restaurant, I peeked inside and saw that there were empty seats available! I asked and was able to be seated at a table. Lucky me! Today, I ordered the 10-course skewer set and chicken wing karage. The meal started with wasabi-topped grilled chicken breast skewers. The skewers start with larger pieces of meat and gradually get smaller, which is the owner's specialty. The perfectly cooked rare meat was juicy and tender. I couldn't resist ordering seconds of the leek-wrapped chicken thigh and chicken tenderloin because they were so delicious. It's great that despite being such a popular restaurant, they serve a la carte instead of just set courses, and it's possible to get a table without a reservation. There are so many other restaurants that are more expensive and impossible to get into. It's uncomfortable how pretentious they are. I will definitely visit again. Thank you for the meal! 🌟

Located just a 1-minute walk from Shin-Fukushima Station, this famous yakitori restaurant has been awarded one Michelin star and selected as one of the top 100 restaurants on Tabelog. There are many yakitori restaurants in Fukushima, it's true. I called on a Saturday and they had availability, so I decided to visit. The atmosphere was calm, with a total of 17 seats including a 13-seat counter and one table for four. The selection of alcohol was extensive. They offer courses of 8 skewers for 2700 yen and 10 skewers for 3500 yen, but you can also order individual skewers. Here are some of the skewers I tried: Seseri (neck) with salt for 440 yen - incredibly delicious and satisfying. The flavor and fat of the neck spread in your mouth. Skin with salt for 350 yen - delicate and with a nice charcoal aroma. Yamaimo (Japanese yam) for 250 yen - Breast meat with mountain wasabi for 380 yen - the refreshing mountain wasabi goes well with the breast meat. Negima (leek and chicken) with salt for 420 yen - a yakitori where you can fully enjoy the ingredients. Teba (chicken wing) with spices for 360 yen - perfectly cooked with a delightful balance of sweetness and smokiness. Se-kimo (back liver) with sauce for 450 yen - it's been a while since I had this! Satsumaimo fry (sweet potato fry) for 600 yen - the aroma of sweet potato and butter is irresistible. Tsukune (chicken meatball) with sauce for 350 yen - a slightly small meatball with a fluffy texture and cartilage adding a nice touch. Yaki onigiri (grilled rice ball) for 300 yen - a simple yet delicious grilled rice ball. The relaxed atmosphere and enjoyable yakitori make this place truly special. Definitely lives up to its popularity. Thank you for the wonderful meal. If you're interested in exploring more restaurants in Osaka, check out their website or Instagram.

It's a reservation by phone only, but it's hard to get through on the phone. The restaurant has a counter seat and one table. The yakitori here has large portions and is juicy. Each skewer allows you to enjoy the true taste of chicken. Especially the seseri was so delicious! I wanted to order more, but it's limited to one skewer per person. It's a very popular and delicious restaurant with great value for money, so I highly recommend it.

There is a yakitori restaurant in Fukushima Ward where celebrities are said to visit! The taste was delicious ☺️ This time, I ordered a 10-skewer course and a single dish of chicken wings. Each skewer was big and filling! The dishes come out slowly, so it's great for those who enjoy drinking alcohol. There was a wide variety of drinks available. If you plan your visit in advance, it should be easy to make a reservation. The cost performance is quite good! Everyone, please give it a try..

I was lucky to get a seat at the popular and Michelin-starred restaurant "Ayamuya" in Fukushima, where reservations are difficult to come by. I opted for the "Ten Skewers Course" to satisfy my cravings, and enjoyed the perfectly grilled skewers and drinks. The set list included wasabi skewers, negima (chicken and green onion), pork belly (course exclusive), seseri (chicken neck), triangle (beef), round knuckle (spicy), gizzard, heart, tsukune (chicken meatballs), and liver. I also added wings (fried), skin, quail, and tsunagi (chicken thigh). For drinks, I had Sapporo Soraichi Golden Ale, Umenojuku (a luxurious sake limited to one cup), Usumidori, Yama no Hana, and Kannonshita (recommended). The strong saltiness was just to my liking, and I definitely want to revisit this distinguished restaurant. It was incredibly delicious! Thank you for the feast!

Visit date: 18:40 on a weekday
Wait time: Immediate seating with last-minute reservation
Menu: 10 skewers course for 3,500 yen + additional skewers + drinks
We gathered in Fukushima without deciding on a restaurant and called ahead to see if we could get a table. Luckily, they said they could seat us right away for two people, so we headed over. We sat right in front of the grilling area and ordered the 10 skewers course along with some chicken wings. We were told that chicken wings can only be ordered upon arrival. They brought out the skewers one by one, judging our eating speed. The skewers were small but well-cooked. We ended up ordering 3 more skewers as we were getting full. We also had beer and sake, enjoying three drinks in total and feeling a bit tipsy. We even splurged on some premium sake, so the price went up a bit, but it was still worth it at this price. Thank you for the delicious meal.

This is a well-known restaurant for yakitori lovers who make reservations in advance on weekday nights. We ordered the omakase course of 10 skewers plus 3 drinks each, costing around 7,000 yen per person. The skewers have a big piece of meat at the top, giving an impactful first bite. Among the ones we tried, the negima, wasabi yakitori, and the course-exclusive pork belly were particularly delicious. The seasoning and sauce were good, but slightly strong in flavor, making the throat a bit dry. This time we focused on grilled items, so next time I would like to try some side dishes as well.

Fukushima's delicious yakitori restaurant offers a 3500 yen omakase yakitori set, with additional orders of grilled onigiri and deep-fried chicken wings. The restaurant consistently serves perfectly grilled and delicious yakitori, making it a top choice in the Fukushima area. The deep-fried chicken wings are highly recommended. The aroma of the charcoal smoke infuses the wings as they are grilled, creating a unique flavor. The grilled onigiri is exceptionally tasty. This is a restaurant that I would love to visit again and again!

I made a reservation for a visit to the restaurant. It took 3-4 attempts to finally get through on the phone. I had been wanting to visit this place for a long time, and ordered the 8-skewer course with additional items. Each skewer had a generous amount of meat, and I unexpectedly got full quickly. The sauce was a bit on the lighter side, which may not be suitable for those who prefer a stronger flavor, but the grilling was perfect and I thoroughly enjoyed the yakitori!

I had delicious yakitori for the first time in a while. Luckily, I was able to make a reservation and my wish came true. The course had 10 skewers, each perfectly grilled with the right amount of salt. I enjoyed them all without any sauce. Thank you for the meal.

A legendary figure in the Kansai yakitori world. This restaurant has elevated the value of yakitori and has won the Michelin award for 7 consecutive years. Many restaurants in Osaka are also run by chefs who trained here, with 4 of them receiving Michelin stars or Bib Gourmand ratings. It's difficult to get a reservation due to the limited seating, but luckily we were able to secure one!
[Atmosphere, Service]
It has been over 10 years since my last visit, but the building remains the same. There are 7 counter seats and 1 table. It seems to be a family-run business, with a young female owner and two male staff members. The female owner is in charge, while the quiet head chef focuses on grilling the yakitori. Many of the customers are regulars, creating a relaxed atmosphere. It's different from the lively atmosphere of "Ishi I" which originated from the same restaurant and has expanded to Tokyo.
[Notes]
There are 8 and 10 course options, with additional yakitori available if you choose a course. If you order a la carte, yakitori can be ordered in pairs. The yakitori is grilled gently, ensuring it is cooked through. However, the salted skewers have a bit too much salt. The same goes for the spiced skewers. Compared to other yakitori places in Kansai, this restaurant tends to be heavier on the salt. Personally, I enjoyed the yakitori with sauce, homemade thick fried tofu, and liver pate. The tsukune with yuzu was also delicious. "Iko ka," another restaurant from the same origin, offers sashimi if you prefer that. The bill was reasonable. This place might be good for those who enjoy stronger salt flavors.
