The store is located on the southwest corner of the Minami-Morimachi intersection, right by the station and facing a main street. It is convenient, stylish, and has a great location being inside a hotel. There is also a similar store in Arashiyama, Kyoto, which is also in a prime location in the tourist area of Kyoto. This time, I wanted to have something sweet after lunch, so I decided to use the eat-in area here. I ordered the Honey Butter Bread, Tiramisu, and Iced Cafe au Lait.
- Honey Butter Bread (300 yen): The concept of this store is that you can eat it every day without getting tired of it. The bread itself is not particularly assertive, unlike French bread in appearance. It is soft both on the outside and inside, not too firm or mushy. It is a delicious bread that most people would enjoy, as long as they don't dislike bread itself. The honey butter inside is not too thin, not too thick, not too sweet, not greasy, and not dry. It has a consistent taste that most people would appreciate. However, the size is not large, so it may feel a bit unsatisfying if eaten during lunch.
- Tiramisu (500 yen): This is also a mild tiramisu without any strong flavors. It contains a bit of liquor, but even someone like me who is not good with alcohol didn't notice it. It is easy to eat without the cocoa powder or cheese overpowering the taste.
- Iced Cafe au Lait (600 yen): This is an espresso with milk over ice. It has a moderate amount of ice, not excessive, and the quantity is satisfying. It is also simply delicious.
The total bill came to 1400 yen, which may seem a bit expensive. Therefore, you may not be able to visit every day, but it is nice to go occasionally. However, I do have some doubts about its location in Minami-Morimachi. Unlike Kitahama or Yodoyabashi, it is not just in an office district but also in an unassuming shopping street.
